Sorry no contest because the snatch was super unexpected. However, Gendan is quite persuasive when Catherine is quite excited. The bird girl hasn't lost all her control though. She blurts out. "4000 and not a copper more"
Catherine, in her excitement puts more force into the throw than she intended. Gendan still manages to catch the pouch. Except she does so with her face. The heavy pouch hits her nose and falls on her feet. It causes Gendan to have a minor nose bleed (2 HP damage). At least the party has 400 PP now.
(Gendan uses a longsword and will use the one from Evans if no one else wants it. It has a lower base damage than her current sword, but hopefully the increased crit helps even that out. The silver may also come in handy if we're dealing with something like lycanthropy.)
(Just a fair Mechanics warning. The type of "lycanthropy" that plagued Jay was so far removed from regular Lycanthropy that it does not follow the rules regarding lycanthropy. Meaning, the foxmen can't infect others and silvered weapons aren't anymore effective against them than regular weapons. On the other hand, there may be more homebrew monsters in the future who are vulnerable to silver)
Elsara will just watch Catherine excitedly rush up the steps. "Umm... Don't drink it all in one go, Miss Darkwing?" She says after the excited aarakocra. Elsara shakes her head as Catherine leaves, then looks to the others. "There was a whole cellar of these I think. I was going to let her know so she could buy some from Mr. Evans so he can get some of the money." She explains to the others. She then looks down to slasher. "I wonder why Mr. Evans wanted us to have this sword? He said he got it from an drow he beat. Maybe it means he's not having to fight adventurers anymore?"
(OOC: Given it's a finesse weapon, it's a good one for Elsara, too; a direct upgrade. I don't want to hog the spotlight, as she's a caster then a swordswoman if others would prefer the weapon.)
Valwarin enters the Guild Hall and sees his friends, the dragonborn bleeding from the nose and the others talking aroudn a silvered, well crafted longsword
”Hello my friends... What did I miss?”

“I have no need for such a weapon, it’s formidable thoug, I know you will put it to good use.”
While you guys here deciding how to split the gold and who gets the sword, Gabby walks up to Gendan and says, "Um... your nose is bleeding. Why don't you sit down and... let me take care of it?"
Elsara looks to Gendan. "Umm, are you sure?" She asks. "I mean, it's a pretty weapon, but wouldn't you want to use it more? I'm still learning to use a blade well." Her hand subconsciously taps the hilt of the scimitar in its scabbard.
(OOC: If you would prefer the better crit range etc. then feel free to use it. Elsara would only use it if nobody else wanted to use it.)
Elsara will look at the sword, picking it up delicately. She holds it a little warily before moving her feet into a more agile movement. "It's a little heavy, but I'll give it a try then." She says with a smile. She looks to her belt. "I'm running out of belt space now." She then looks up and then seems to recall something. "Oh, I'll be right back. I've got to go get some things. Back soon!"
Elsara will rush off out of the guildhall and into town. (DM, our prior PM query :-) )
