Gendan will seek out the goblin in charge and volunteer to join the night watch (for tonight). She secretly wants some conflict, but also recalls the work put in to set up the trade alliance and doesn’t like for that to be undermined. She also thinks there will be no medics needed if anyone crosses her, they won’t come out injured, they’ll come out dead.
Gendan, Vladimir is in charge. He won't stop you if you want to join them for the night but he says it's not necessary.
Will you still join? If yes:
You walk around town with two other goblins; male and a female. It is now 12:30 AM. Everyone in town has gone to bed and all is quiet and dark. The goblins have darkvision so they don't use torches and rather just move around in the darkness. Roll Perception:
Val, you don't know if he's being genuine or not. You can't read anything from his tone or body language.
Franklin continues, "Yeah, some villagers believe that the goblins are building the small base in town so that they can take over in one swift and vicious attack. I'm not saying the villagers are attacking the goblins but I think that's what's happening."
"That's sad, and very shortsighted. If the goblins wnated they could had taken the city by now. "
After a few moments he changes the topic entierly
"Tell me Tracey, have you ever consider pursuing a career in another place? Our Guild is expanding and will need people to support it. I am not talking of nothing dangerous or adventurous here" he says to his father " but perhaps working for the Guild at the Guild Headquarters for a while is what this young lady needs. A change of airs so to speak."
He looks to both of them to see if they, specially Tracey, likes the idea.

Gendan tells Vladimir, “Yes, I’d like to join the rotation tonight.” (Gendan also has dark vision.)
(Still getting the party dynamics here so please forgive me: Val is talking to the farmer or wood cutter and his daughter, Gendan is on patrol (looking to fight), elsara is reading in the library. Are there other guild members still in the room with me? Gym who ZulkRS is controlling while they are on a break and is there one other?)
So Hunin will take this moment to be able to talk with the great doctor who has never been accessible to him prior to today.
"So... Dr. I have lived in this town a good majority of my life and have heard a great many things of your work. Thank you, Thank you for the work you do. I too would like to be able to impact the world for better one day.......
Do you think things are getting better or worse these days?" Hunin is a bit nervous as he has never had this access and is a bit star struck.

Gym decides he wants to check on something. He announces that he will be staying with Father Torelgen to discuss somethings relating to the goblins and the village. He leaves.
Elias strokes his beard and says, "I think you're asking the wrong person. I don't go out and instead devote my time to research and teaching. From what Elyza tells me, we don't have goblin attacks any more, for obvious reasons, and our village also suffers less from bandits so I guess things are getting better. Though I have no idea how the guys with dark masks factor into this."
"Locally things seem to be going pretty well aside from the dark masks. Are plagues spreading faster or slower these days and are they getting easier for you and your pupils to treat?"

"Ah that takes me back. We haven't had a bad plague since the Corpse Disease 600 years ago. This is good. Plagues are no joke. Luckily, we still cure diseases that clerics can't." He goes on a rant about various disease.
It is now around 12:30 AM at night. Gendan, who went off to volunteer to be part of the goblin patrol returns to the mansion. Elyza is probably still reading. Val is trancing in the forest. Hunin, Skiirod and Folki are asleep and Gym is at Torelgen's
Gendan, in an excited, not-so-soft whisper, "Hey! Anyone want to join me? I'm going to investigate some folks who seem to have made camp on the town's borders, by the forest. Maybe it's the guys in dark masks!"
(Hye guys I'm really sorry for the lack of posting. real life has got very hectic and I dont have much time to dedicate to pbp, definitely not to posting frequency posting ive been doing. quite a lot recently I get five minutes to quickly post but it's used up reading over all ive missed. definitely dont want to bow out, but wont be able to keep to the level I have been doing in the past. if I haven't posted assume Folki is going with Gendan, most likely to end in a fight.)
Tracey doesn't react much. She just stares at her plate. Her father on the other hand, seems to really like the idea.
"Think about it Tracey " says Val with tenderness to the broken heart girl " I guess that we will leave in a day or two. If by that time you've made up your mind and want to come with us, it will be great to have you onboard." he leaves the plate on the table.
"Anyway It has been a lovely evening, thank you very much for sharing your food with me. I should be leaving."
He says goodbye to them and goes to the forest and tries to hunt something for them. ( Survival: 16 )
Val thinks that beign polite doesn’t deserves the death of a whole family and leaves the rabbits be. He looks for a nice tree near the city, climbs to it and meditate for some hours and call it a night.
If it helps, Elsara has the researcher background trait:
Feature: Researcher
When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
Elsara will probably be looking into either magic lore (perhaps maybe hoping to find a bit of knowledge for this ninth school), or looking over information about diseases to hopefully give her a better insight about such things. They're in a prime place to find such information, and she could always make notes in the margins of her new book to update the 200 years of errata if needs come to it.
Elsara doesn't find anything on the ninth school unfortunately (More on that later). She finds out a lot of things that are missing in her book from the current edition of the PDE but there's not nearly enough time to write it all down. So she instead just makes updates to the information on diseases presented in the book. Now, all of the information in her edition has been corrected but it doesn't list all the diseases that have been discovered within the 200 year gap.
Using her knowledge as a researcher, Elsara comes to the realization that the 9th school of magic must have originated and then forgotten long ago. Maybe even before the time of the Six Heroes. Other than very large and very old libraries, you doubt you'll be able to find anything on it anywhere else. Even if you do find it, the pages may be faded like the old book you got from Sekai.
Elsara, content with her updates in her book, ensures the ink dried before closing it and placing it into her bag and probably just decides to trance inside the library, since they never actually got shown to their rooms for the night.
