(To Zulk: Not sure if this was already asked already or not, but did you need the exact wording for the report, cliff notes, or something else?)
Unless asked or given the prestigious honor of working on the report before Val sends it off, Devarus finds a spot nearby, sees to getting himself re-equipped, and attuned to his confiscated gauntlets. "For what it is worth, Lady Runt. I am sorry."He says at some point towards the end of the process. "It was not my intention to endanger your life. I just -- Having seen what the item had done last, I could not stand idle.... I hope you can forgive me."

(@Deva: All I want for the report is someone to say, "With the machine being operable, I send the report" or something along those lines. I am actually waiting on someone, anyone to say that so I can get on with the next phase. Especially since I need to know where you are going or which mission you are taking after sending the report. )
Devarus quirks a brow. Then his eyes light up from some revelation. "Tell me, Lady... Miss -- Where do I getting -- nevermind. *ahem* Do you sleep with your eyes open or closed? And if the former, would you say your senses are just as sharp as if you were fully conscious?" He asked, and after pause long enough for an answer, if not simply digest the question, he goes on to say, "We all have our faults. And we all have our moment's of weaknesses. So don't beat yourself too much over it; especially for something you weren't exactly prepared for. Yes, things could have gone irreparable wrong... but they didn't. So, linger on it if you must, but ultimately treat it as a learning experience."
After saying all that and listening with open ears to the reply, Deva eventually works up the energy to go check out how Gendan and Val might be doing with the report. Although if either look at him funny, having expected the /him/ to be working on it, he hurriedly gets to work putting it together and sending in the report with Val's guidance and all they learned plus extra. "There. Now if there's no other objections. Let's crack on to Cosmer, and see if we can lend a hand to those Union Ships 'fore their left relying only on riff raff for the job."He cracks a wiry grin.

You get a message back from the Guild quite quickly. It asks you to fill in a form for which mission you are taking. Since this is technically a loophole, you are not given the usual missions list and have to work from memory.
As most were in agreement, Devarus puts down as much as he can thought relevant for the sign-in; such as, 'Accepting mission in Cosmer requesting mercenaries to join the crew of "The Vortex", and hunt down pirates along Tristar Sea', and most of the other in-between fillings. The names of the involved he leaves each to fill out before finishing things up. Though if it asks for a group name, he looks to the others and asks, "Uh... what are we called again?"

It didn't ask for a group name. As much as I'd love to see what comes out of that question, I think we've wasted enough time in Romel. I'm guessing everyone's ready to go to Cosmer.
Due to the immense speed of the Lizard Carriage, it only takes you 7 hours to reach Cosmer. It is 5:30 PM when you arrive at the port town. The sea looks like it's made of molten gold due to the sunset. Dense clouds which look violet due to lighting pepper the sky. It signals in the end of Summer and the start of Monsoon. The ship, The Vortex, stands proudly at the docks.
Gendan does not have any experience at sea. Contrary to Runt’s calm, the purple lightning of the storm, reminiscent of Gendan’s own Eldritch energy, raises the half-elf’s anxiety, though she’d try to hide any emotion from her counterparts by slinking into her hood and cloak (plain cloak now since Runt has the magical one). Her higher levels of nerves make her a bit more jumpy than normal, and perhaps a little quicker on the “trigger”.
The golden vista of the sea makes Gendan crave wealth as much as ever. She can’t wait to start this job. “That must be the Vortex, then. Let’s check it out.”
(Monsoon season seems like a perfect time to head to sea, right? >.<)
GUYS! I Said "LIGHTING" not "LIGHTNING" These aren't storm clouds. The sunset is making the big clouds that are scattered in the sky violet. There is no lightning or any other sign of storms.
(Dumb question. But once we sent in the form would word soon after be delivered to the quest giver about us taking on the job? At least for jobs like the current one.)
Devarus stared wistfully at the setting sun across the sea. His first time arriving near a port town had been the same, dredging up memories of far more peaceful times. But then he took a deep breathe, and gone is the half-smile by the time he turns back to the others afterwards. "Given our luck, it's likely we won't have much time for faffing around this time. At least not initially. So, if we see any shops along the way, don't hesitate to get your business taking care of. If need be, I'll keep going straight to the docks to let them know of our intentions to join the expedition if word hasn't already reached them. Sounds good?" The aged Half-Elf asked the group; and then, upon receiving a favorable answer, took point on riding the rest of the way through town on at least what initially appears to be any straight shot to the docks. Though if need be, he stops long enough to ask the local watch both about the fastest course and any local shops that might deal in supplying arms or trade of fairly rare goods.

(Then a faffing around to buy and trade we should do! Because as much as Devarus might want to keep the Hide+1 as a trophy from his first successful mission, he's a little more practical than that. Lol.)

Runt is eerily at calm under the storm clouds. A peace no one has yet seen in her. Like someone who is returning home for the first time in years.
