Nosam, feeling a bit uneasy and not wanting to trigger a surprise attack, keeps advancing back toward the bridge. He tries to get a better look at who is still remaining and what is their condition (Chrissie, Sildar, etc.)
Berry, unaware of Vidruth’s predicament or the situation in the big chambers, spots a door when he turned away from the one he just inspected. He moves towards the door at the western side of the cistern room and opens it to see if any enemy might be hiding behind.
Marten pads quickly forward quietly (Stealth 15) and then peeks around the corner at X10. Perception 23
Nosam: Movement- to K10 / Perception (passive 10, rolled 3)
Berry: moves towards the door at the western side of the cistern room and opens it
Berry uses 40’ of movement to fly down to the door in the northwest corner of the cistern room. Opening the door, which was slightly ajar, Berry sees what looks like a storeroom pressed into service as living quarters. Two double bunks stand against the wall near the door, while barrels and crates fill the southern half of the chamber.
Nosam, at K10, still sees what I described in the prior round. Crissie and Sister Garaele both look hurt, but they are dragging Kiselina & Daphyra’s bodies, which they treat with care, toward the cavern exit. Sildar is out of view, but Nosam is getting nearer to the sound of fighting. Nosam still has 10’ of movement and his action remaining in Round 20. What does he do?
Marten peeks around the corner at X10 and sees a long wide hallway, with a double door at the western end open. Marten can see into the next chamber where the end of a stone sarcophagus is visible against the far wall. Nothing is moving in his line of sight, although he now hears the sound of fighting coming from the chamber at the end of the hallway, or someplace beyond it. In the wide hallway, Marten notes that a portion of the floor has collapsed, and the sound of Vidruth’s voice seems to be nearer. Perhaps even calling from the collapsed floor area. Marten may now post the rest of his turn.
You are now situated like so:
Berry still has 20’ of movement (he had to dash to reach the door). Nosam has only used 15’ of movement so still has his action. Marten, similar. Vidruth still has his complete Round 20.
Please post the remainder of your Round 20 turn in any order.
(OOC: I cross-posted with @1973, so just clarifying based on that.)
Marten hurries forward to look into the pit and, finding Vidruth there, says, "Don't worry: no sign o' skeletons now. Let's get you out." He tosses one end of his rope down to Vidruth before hurrying back to X10 so that he can brace himself and the rope on the wall while Vidruth climbs out of the pit. Once he has braced himself, Marten says, "OK, Vidruth! I'm ready."
While at X10, Marten also calls back into the Cistern Room: "Berry, if y're still there...I found Vidruth, but I hear fightin' comin' from back toward the Redbrands' dungeon!" He worries about who is fighting, but he needs to get Vidruth out of the pit first and hopefully get the group back together before they face more foes.
Movement: ~40' total this round (dashing), to the pit and back to X10 Action: Throwing rope down to Vidruth and holding the rope for Vidruth to climb out of the pit Bonus Action: Cunning Action, Dash Free Action: Item interaction (getting out the rope) and talking to Vidruth
vidruth climbs out of the pit as quickly as he can "we should gather everyone still alive and clear out" he says "i dont know whats coming next but necromancy indicates some competency as a mage, and who knows what the staff does, not to mention one eye or the swarms of brigands"

Berry hears Marten yell something about fighting and turns hastily to fly into Marten's direction (V12), "You're in there?" he calls out to verify that he's going the right way.
"Ah, need to get back to 'em sooner rather than later." Mumbling to himself, Nosam continues heading up toward the bridge (using remaining movement + dash).
It will take this round and the entire following round for Marten and Vidruth to get Vidruth out of the pit safely. Marten must stow his bow and equip the rope before anything else happens. Neither needs to make athletics rolls.
Nosam, from his new vantage point, sees Sildar’s back at the northeast door to the treasure room (exactly where indicated, as it happens), actively defending himself from three animated skeletons wearing rusty armor and wielding swords. The undead are all squeezed together — stupidly, Nosam might reflect — their attacks a clattering bundle of bones and steel, unable to penetrate Sildar’s defenses, at least so far, where he has them blocked in the doorway.
“Nosam!,” Sildar’s gravelly voice yells, “is Sister Garaele safe?? And the others? I cannot hold these accursed dead here forever!”
Sildar’s action depends on Nosam’s response, so we all hold here for that.
"Well.. quite a lot has happened. I know we lost two of our group; SIster and Chrissie didn't seem to be doing all that well, but they did head out of here with the bodies. How can I help you with these bones? I need to get through this passage, about a couple rooms over is where I need to get to the others."
Sildar nods to Nosam. “Thank you Nosam! I will fall back to allow us both to face them. Let me take their blows on my shield and your hammer can do the rest!”
Berry and Nosam, please post for Round 21. Marten and Vidruth use their entire round 21 to get Vidruth out of the pit.
Marten responds to Berry, "Aye! I'm helpin' Vidruth, but I hear more fightin' goin' on in th' next room. Could you check? Might be Sildar. Or Nosam."
When Berry passes him, Marten is in the hall at X10 with his bow propped against the wall. Marten has his rope wrapped behind his back, and he's leaning back with his feet braced against the west wall of the tunnel. One end of the rope is taught and runs west down that hall and into an open pit.
Movement: None, remain at X10 Action: Helping Vidruth out of the pit Bonus Action: None Free Action: Talking
Berry zips past Marten and Vidruth in accelerated flight (to Q8), looking cursory around while on his way. "This was the way the glasstaff took?" he asks as he flies over the pit. "So this corridor connects to the chasm chamber. And there's fighting, you say?"he tries to listen to what lies ahead (Perception: 16)
Nosam’s hammer slams into the skeleton, smashing half of its rib cage to splinters. It continues fighting.
Berry sees an open door at N4, from which the sounds of fighting are coming, and nothing else in the room save for three closed sarcophagi and a closed door in the northeast corner. Three skeletons are all jammed into the spaces at M1 & N1 at the far end of the north corridor.
Sildar uses his shield to smash the same skeleton Nosam just hit, but it then slashes at him and Sildar who has taken many wounds, falls to one knee as the other skeletons attempt to overwhelm him. “Nosam,” he breathers, “I can fight no more!,” although he maintains his position. He seems to be asking Nosam if Nosam can handle them so he can disengage.
Vidruth is now out of the pit. He is completely visible now except for his left foot. The chemistry experiment still seems to be exerting random effects. Marten is now free to act in the coming round, having successfully helped Vidruth out of the pit.
Berry slows his pace as he gets closer to the fighting sounds. He approaches carefully the skeletons (to N3 and dodging) and draws his new rapier. „I found them!“ he shouts back to Marten. „There‘re three skeletons here. Sildar and Nosam got them cornered,“ he explains while preparing to engage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Marten: Round 22
As soon as Vidruth makes it out of the pit, Marten checks, "Alright, Vidruth?" Then he drops the rope where it is and picks up is bow again. "I'm comin', Berry!", he shouts, as he runs up the hall and jumps over the pit. (Marten can jump 10' if he takes a 10' running start.) Marten lands the jump on his feet and uses the momentum to continue running into the corner of the next room. He pivots north, toward the sounds of fighting, and fires an arrow over/around Berry at the first skeleton in front of the fairy.
Movement: 60' dashing X10 > X9 > W8 > V8 > U8 > T8 > S8 >> R9 (2nd diagonal move) > Q9 > P9 > O9 > N9 Action: Attack "first" skeleton Marten sees, Shortbow (80/320): 18 Damage: 5 I did not add sneak attack damage since I don't think that Marten has advantage, and Marten's target doesn't have an opponent within 5' of it. In case I'm wrong, add sneak attack damage: 5 Bonus Action: Cunning Action, Dash Free Action: Equip bow and arrow, Talking
Berry: move to N3 and dodging and draws his new rapier
Marten: dash to N9 / Attack "first" skeleton Marten sees 8 Damage: 6
Nosam: Attack- Hit 24 (19+5), Damage 11 (8+3)
Vidruth: bot #1
Berry hears Marten’s arrow slicing the air behind him just in time and slips aside a hairsbreadth from its steel tip. The missile clacks against the end of the corridor.
Nosam’s hammer pounds through both of the nearest skeleton’s pelvises (cleaving/ they take double HP from bludgeoning damage), and the undead shatter in two halves each and de-animate. One more remains.
Vidruth, having spent enough time in the pit, turns the other way and tries to find the route back to the crevasse room that Marten and Berry had taken to get to him (dash).
Sildar backs away and limps toward sister Garaele and Crissie.
The remaining skeleton moves forward into M1, crunching on the bones of the recently- and not-so-recently departed, and slashes at Nosam, but even with an 18, it can’t penetrate the dwarven fighter’s defenses.
You are now situated like so:
All may post for Round 23 in any order (N.B. the skeleton is no longer in Marten’s line of sight.)
Berry hurries to Nosam's help and stabs with his rapier at the walking bones. “Where did they come from? Don’t tell me that these Redbrands come for us even after death!”
Move: to N1 Attack: @SK1: hit: 11 for 5 piercing damage
ooc// thanks for the bot, sorry i got caught up in stuff and didnt post
vidruth keeps running , trying to get to a position where he can cover the entirety of the crevasse room. hes hoping to make sure that there isnt anything dangerous in it, and if there is to keep them busy while the others try to get out
"just get to the exit. we need to get somewhere safer and rest" he shouts to the others
action/ dash
move x2/ k14 for sure, then if there isnt anything immediately threatening im going to cross to the other side of the crevasse (i think i should have just enough movement to do so)
