While you are resting, Starker reviews the ledgers of the brewery. Afterwards, he has a discussion with Yanthin. Early on in this discussion, Yanthin has an outburst you all hear, "...That pig fu..cker!...."

The Company prepares itself magically and then descends the stairs again. Yanthin is left behind, seething.
The room is similar to what you left with a few notable exceptions. The beer ghoul bodies are missing. The lamps are no longer burning and the room is dark.

The slick floor and walls remind you of the cursed, sticky ale the beer ghouls were force feeding the captives. The door to the room is closed.
The door is locked. Attempting to open it sets off the trap. The nozzles in the ceiling all begin spraying Caustic Brew to fill the room. Everyone makes a DC14 DEX save or takes 4HP acid damage. Hoid and Kragen get another +3 to their saves being near Chadwick. Half damage on save. Metallic armor degraded by -1 if you fail.

Correct. Aura of Purity does not protect against Acid damage. None of the effects protected from pertain to Poison damage.
Is Hoid’s mithral armor permanently degraded?
