The topaz fits into the socket of the armored dwarf statue. A louder CLICK locks it into place and it flares a bright yellow. The air creature begins swirling at a faster rate and growing in size. It is forming a whirlwind over the island and the coins. You stand transfixed watching this take place. The coins begin to be lifted off of the ground and fly about the creature. The pulsations of light; blue, green, white and yellow glimmer off of the flying coins. It is beautiful, like sparks flying through the air and whizzing about the room. They are now flying outwards and filling the room. You can hear the air rush as they zip by your head, not one touching you.
"You have done well Erbert Jenkor Jerriheimerschmidt. Not all find success on my proving grounds. Find these and join them," the deep voice of Xagyg fills the room, though not as booming as he was in the original room. Five faces appear in the air, two dwarves, two humans and a shaven headed gnome. "They will need your guidance, and you theirs. More trials await you. I will call for you when the time is right. You will recognize the sign."
The coins continue spinning faster and faster. The flashing of the light becomes a warm, yellow glow on your face. Slowly, your eyes open to find a ray of sunshine has found its way through the curtain in your room at the Inn of the Dancing Dolphin. Your arrival in Luskan late last night did not give you much time to explore this town. It seemed far enough away from Gilo and his chores to start anew. You can hear activity down below in the common room. You remember the night steward telling you of sausages, eggs and small beer being served in the common room for breakfast.....
You move to get out of bed and see a stone on the table that was not there when you went to sleep. It is a flat, 1” diameter hematite with a dwarven runic X engraved on it. It gives off a bluish glint in the light.

((. This ends this thread. ))
The link for the campaign thread is Reuniting the Band
Please give me time to synchronize your play with the rest of the group. Plan for a day of exploring Luskan.
I would like to hear feedback from you about how this ran and likes/dislikes. It has been 30+ years since I was a DM.
Erbert smiles and says “Hey, Xagyg, you mentioned something about a reward….. right? Yrag?”
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
I’m trying to add the hematite to your character sheet. When I tested it all was well. Now, not so much.
It is called Xagyg’s Talisman
