Nean wakes up rather late, and gets up to wipe the sleep from his eyes. He slowly strolls over to the rest having breaktfast, but remains somewhat quiet for the rest of the meal.
"That's good to hear, I'm doing well this morning Bram! Feeling ready to get out there and see if we can make any headway with finding Verrina Dusttoe."
Turning to Liafial; "I think that asking questions about Verrina's last known whereabouts would be a good place to start."
"That's very true, perhaps Willeren would know where her residence is here. I don't imagine that there are many archaeologists here."
Looking over in Dril's direction
"Dril, if I may, it seems as though something has been bothering you since we all convened this morning." Regarding Nean"I feel as though the same could be said for you, Nean. Would you guys like to talk about it at all? I would hope to be able to alleviate any fears or reservations you may have."
Ospos reaches out and his hands pass through the illusory food. Aghast, he says, "Could there be a more cruel trick than showing a fake feast to a hungry halfling?"
"Oh, do not worry about me. I sometimes have these moments where i'll be a little more quiet." He gives Ava a hopefully somewhat calming smile, but then knits his brows to a frown. "But i'll admit that i am a little worried about the way we were welcomed to the Shadowfel yesterday. We've come across a foe we couldn't handle once before, but how that hunter outmaneuvered us troubles me. Especially after he hinted that he might be back with more of his kind. If we're asking about your fellow bounder, it might also be a good idea to gain some insights into what we're facing." He then nearly bursts into laughter after realizing Brams little joke. He decides to join in, summoning his Mystic Hand to pilfer a piece to eat from behind Ospos. He grins and turns back to Ava. "But you're right, i guess i should be working on my attitude a little."
"Oh, I don't mean to discourage expression, by all means, I would like to know when you are distressed or otherwise unhappy. But you've raised a good point, this area seems to be fraught with danger and threatening figures. Something tells me that Willeren would be a good source of information in regards to many of our questions."
"You are right and true, I am sorry my flamboyant halfling friend, I will remedy my wrong immediately."
Bram then creates a stale, almost going to mould, bit of bread, and some bruised, sad looking fruit.
"How's that, better?"
Bram smiles and laughs before dismissing the illusions, allowing Ospos to finish any remaining food.
Turning to Ava and Nean's conversation, Bram adds,
"I think this place definitely has a pessimistic influence about it. I know Thallan was feeling it, and I'd hate to see Frank under its effect for too long."
"If you are already prone to having bouts of melancholy, this place will certainly help them along."
Bram regards Liafial,
"I agree with Liafial, we should ask around town about Verrina, see what leads we can gather before we set out."
Turning back to Nean he adds,
"And getting any info we can about the dangers we are sure to face, wouldn't go astray."
Dril looks up at Ava, a little smile forming across his lips. "Ah 'tis nothing. As a scholar, I have an almost compulsion to know the ins and outs of all the whys and hows, so these past couple days have really left me confounded. I feel like I am stuck in the worst dream ever... But at least I am with the best company I've ever had so there is that, and for now, sausages!"
Dril grabs himself some food and positions himself to feel the morning sun against his skin, mood lightening significantly.
Clermar grabs a few bites when he can from Ospos and starts to don his armor and affix his weapons. "We'll be ready next attack now that we know what to expect. Ava, do you know any bad effects from staying in other planes too long or shifting too much? How long do you think we'll be here?"
Ava: You have heard of some planes having lingering effects on visitors. You’ve seen for yourself the positive effects that visitors to the heavens have experienced, a sense of peace and a newfound optimism are common. However you know these effects typically don’t last long after a person leaves the plane. As for negative effects of shifting between planes too often, you don’t know of anything beyond the occasional motion sickness that some folks get. Lastly, you have no clue how long this could take. Having never been to the Shadowfell, and having never really been on a mission beyond your home plane, you have no frame of reference at all.
Turning to answer Clermar, Ava says "There are some planes that have passive effects on their inhabitants, but these are usually relegated to changes in disposition that wear off not to long after leaving. I'd say from what we've seen thus far, this place seems to inspire a sense of dread, or at the very least melancholy. I think that we should do our best to combat any creeping sadness as we continue. Looking over to Bramwith a smile "Though I don't think we'll have any problems doing that!"
Turning back to Clermar"And as far as I know, there aren't any negative effects due to shifting often, apart from a little motion sickness. To be completely honest, I'm not entirely sure how long we're going to be here for. I've never taken on an assignment of this magnitude, and I have to say that I'm probably a little out of my depth."
"Well we should get a move on, I would first like to visit Welleran. I do not remember much of last night but I do know if not for her, I'd be a bit more sour. For that I owe at least my gratitude"
Ospos looks horrified at the illusions of ruined food. "Well that's it. Bram is my least favorite personality... I have lost my appetite, which is blasphemy among halflings! Let us be on our way."
"Well a warm breakfast and some light are doing wonders for myself. How are you doing Ava, ready to continue the hunt for your father?"

After Ospos gets a whiff of the food, you all better hope 'He who eats the fastest eats the most' is not a thing here.
Seeing Ospos starting to go a little overboard on the food, Bram, smiling, starts to cast Silent Images of food to have a little fun with Ospos.

Ava: Being your empathetic self, you quickly notice that Dril is quite reserved and distant, and Nean as well is oddly quiet.

Bram gets up with everyone else, and begins heading outside to go see Welleran.
