The triggering creature must reroll the d20 and use the lower roll.

So fortunately I didn't turn the normal hit into a crit.

And yeah, first time playing a character using the spell myself. I'd heard it was good, and scales nicely for my 1st lv spell slots. Definitely getting a lot of use out of it here.

Fuego:

Seeing the ice devil doing something…well…devilish to his companion, Fuego redirects the wind again to try and push the creature away!  He follows up with another Eldritch Blast.

DC 15 Strength Save or be blown 15 feet back.

Eldritch Blast:  Attack: 17 Damage: 14

"Stay... DOWN!" snarled Titus as he turned towards Crrethil again and slashed at him.

ACTION: Attack, again using a Trip Attack Maneuver on a hit (DC 13 STR Save)

Cunning's saving throw gets +3 because of the limited time Crrethil got to bite him. Crrethil is Prone again.

Turning to the modron near him with a bit of surprise Phait speaks plainly. "That things wants to plunge the world into winter for what it's worth." He gestures to Crrethil as he speaks.

As Crrethil gets blasted by Fuego's gust once again, Phait continues to advance.

Move 25ft towards Crrethil [[ self-note, now ~15 ft from Crrethil ]]

"Tembö muknak!" chants Phait once again, with more force, as he advances upon the prone devil, loosing another psychic spike at it.

Then, feeling the magic within, he channels that energy to restore some of his potential.

The modron is a duodrone. It looks around, confused about everything. It sits down on the ground, then begins neatly stacking rubble on the ground and broken shards of tables into perfect cubes.

Cunning has a vague idea what is being done to him, but that's something to worry about later; for now the priority is killing Crrethil before it can do any more damage.

The demon has been moved away from Thrudor allowing him to charge another bolt of radiant light and hurl it at the demon.

On a hit it provides advantage to whoever attacks next!

Crrethil shrieks as his soul is knocked from his body. His soul is a horrifying shadow, knocked away and then evaporated by the radiant light shot by Thrudor. He never saw this coming. Upon his death, the temperature rises almost to normal. His body crumbles on the ground and melts into a gray puddle. The weather outside stops. In fact, the ice melts everywhere. The citizens gather to celebrate this victory.

End of the Campaign.

I need to start transferring account data and won't be on for a while, so I quickly sent Crrethil to fight the party to get a quick end. I can keep chatting with you today and tomorrow before I go. Hope you liked this campaign!

And if any of you want to take over as DM, if the players are still interested in continuing, I can PM you the outline for the rest of the campaign. It's a continuation in which Crrethil wasn't defeated, he only escaped at the last second.
