Bennett nods at Hatt, "You're absolutely correct in your assumption. We should go to the cathedral and ask around, after we see what information the newlyweds dug up from Sir Connor."
I'm assuming we'd see Ashley asking around on the docks, correct? If not, ignore this next part, and if a check is needed then here is Perception: 13
If Bennett notices Ashley he will yell for her attention, "HEY! WE ARE HERE!"
Hey Crispy, grins Hatt. Ashley! Good to see you. Hatt is very happy to see the group all back together again.
What did we find out? Hmmm, Hatt muses. He leans in conspiratorially and speaks in an exaggerated stage whisper loud enough for people thirty feet away to hear: We found out that our current employer, Mr. Opsola, is notverypopular, and people get very suspiciousand defensive when you mention him.
He stands up straight and resumes his normal speaking voice. The world is full of mysteries, is it not. Also, we probably need to go to the Cathedral and talk to them about a tiefling who met Lady M - you know, She Who Must Not Be Named. It's all a bit weird; I mean, if we're trying to find out who cursed the woman, wouldn't she know more than some random person in the church? Then again, and he thumbs at Bennett and Gasp, I guess that didn't work out too well, huh.
As Hatt finishes his whispering, Crispy takes out a napkin and wipes her face. She then looks at everyone. “Huh, interesting.” she says. “And uh, yeaaahhhh, what Ashley said. Ha Ha..So now what, team?
Bennett nods, "I don't think a coup will happen. He is the royal adviser, and a very powerful mage. I'm not sure if the common folk have the firepower necessary to take him down."He looks at Crispy, "Definitely the cathedral! We need to talk to the head honcho there and ask about this tiefling."
As the sun reaches it's peak, you find solace in the cathedral's shadow, a cool spot to relax if it were not for the multitude of people there. Citizens, guards, and nobles alike come in and out of the grand doors. Most of them there for the next session or to pray, others are talking with the brothers and sisters of the church. The only odd thing to it would be the adventurers and pilgrims that head to another section of the cathedral, holding modest shrines to the other gods and goddesses. There are many nuns and monks going about, doing their classes and their prayers here and there.
Once we approach the cathedral Bennett will turn to Hatt and Ashley, "You two are probably the most religious out of the group. Maybe you two would have better luck finding the head honcho?"
Ooh, switch out the pairings? That sounds fun. Ashley and I can go and find the chief priest, or cleric, or whatever they're called, and maybe you and Crispy can go talk to some of those nuns or monks, find out if there are any rumours. And there are rumours; Hatt speaks firmly. This is a temple. There is really nowhere in the world like a temple when it comes to gossip.
So, shall we do that? He looks around at the others to see if they agree.
Crispy looks at Ashley nervously for a moment before looking to Bennett, and rolling her eyes in exasperation, finally managing a weak smile. "That's fine." She turns to Ashley. "Be careful, ok?" Lastly, she looks down at Hatt, giving him a glaring look that if ANYTHING at ALL were to happen to her, they would be having a very exchange of ideas on the matter.
You both head off to talk to the priest that gave Ashley her silver powder and helped arranged her marriage there. "Good evening, how was your wedding? I apologize for not staying for the reception but I had to prepare for the morning masses. Now how may I help you two?"
@Bennett & Crispy
A pair of nuns bows their heads to the both of you as you approach, "Good evening adventurers, the other shrines are down there and if you are an acolyte looking for rest, please speak with Father Marx."
((Anywhere can be a dungeon if your warlock casts enough [Tooltip Not Found] to get the party started! :P))
Bennett bows, "Good evening, sisters. We are actually here on business from the royal adviser. Have you two seen a red-skinned tiefling around the cathedral?"
Well, says Hatt, that would be most kind of you. We're acting on behalf of someone who is most concerned with the safety of the Lady Myra. We really need to speak to someone who knows her, a friend or colleague perhaps? We'd also be very interested to know if there are any tieflings presently in the Cathedral, or if any have visited recently?
Is there a particular relationship between Ilmater and Chauntea, or Ilmater and Lathander? Both are neutral good rather than lawful...
(Nothing on the Chauntea, but Ilmater and Lathander are considered allies. And seeing how Lathander and Chauntea have a thing going on, I'd say they also consider Chauntea an ally as well.)

Hatt and the others (with Ashley and Crispy if we see them) all walk towards the Cathedral, talking as we go.
(It's pretty easy to spot out each other. No need to roll for anything.)
“Hey shortstuff, Gasp, Bennett.” Crispy said, happy to see most of them. “What did you guys find out?”

Uhm, well....we may have started a coupe against Opsala...Ashley whispers for real.

Crispy nods, and spreads her hands, indicating for you to lead the way.
(One walk to the cathedral later.)

Sounds good to me. If Crispy doesn't mind of course.

Ashley replies to the priest Thank you. It went better than I expected. We have some questions for you if you have a few minites.

The priest nods, "My classes are not until later, so yes, I have some time."

One of the sisters speak, "Yes, we've seen only a few over the past weeks."
