Karra seems more intrigued by the gemstones than the pay. "Hmm, gems look like good barter items, yes?"He says, holding them up and evaluating them. "Very generous man." Karra seems to look over them with a trained eye; his jewelcrafter background keeping his attention to the cuts and detail on each one in turn.
Generous indeed says Hatt, if not a great judge of character. We must thank him on the way out. I suggest that we head off as soon as possible. Hatt was keen to put this whole mess behind him.Back to Cresthall, I suppose? Unless anyone feels like following our mysterious friends? I suppose we should warn someone in the city that there's an evil cult around, stealing ancient artifacts from crypts. According to the stories Hatt had read, that sort of thing rarely ended well. Though I'm not sure exactly who we would tell. The guard? One of the churches? Would they even believe us anyway?
Karra shakes his head."No chase. Would be like last time, but much worse." He advises. "Was told best not to mention to guard. Think this is more than seems, yes? Think we should look into Cevisas cult first, come back when have evidence." He looks to the blade. "Sword not enough, need to work out what was taken first, yes? For now, quest completed, head to Cresthall, yes?"
I do understand why the overseer wouldn't want it mentioned to the guards Hatt says He doesn't want investigators coming down from Cresthall, asking questions and interfering with the mine's operations. But what's best for him might not be what's best for the city and everyone else, if there's a real danger here. He pauses and thinks for a moment. But I don't think there's a rush, and we could probably do some digging around about this cult ourselves, before attempting to speak to the authorities. Which we can't do if we're on a boat bound for some city that's days away, he thinks. I wonder what the plan will be about that. Seems like some of the party (he glances at Crispy) won't want to let this go. Is that the wisest course of action, though?
"Sounds good to me." Crispy says after talking with Ashley. "There's something very off about that other group, and you're asking the same questions i wanna get answers too, Hatty McAskin."
"Then agreed."Karra says. "Head back to Cresthall, try and find out what we can, yes?" He will dish out the coins to the others (15 gold each, then put the remainder 10 gold towards payment for food/travel/lodging for the group sounds good?) "Hmm, gems may be sellable to gem crafter's guild." Karra points to his chest. "Can attempt to sell these for bonus, yes?"
Yep, says Hatt happily. He heads over to the door, takes a quick look back to check he hasn't forgotten his shield or anything else, and steps outside into the bright light of day. Such a relief to be out in the open air. Hopefully there won't be too many mines or crypts in my future. He looks around to see if Overseer Pebb is in sight, as he'd like to have a quick word with him before the group sets off for Cresthall.
”I wont bite, dont be shy.” She laughed and squeezed Ashley’s shoulder as they walked. “Relax, everything will be OK. Were just going to talk to that boss.” She smiled at her, her blue eyes gleaming.
Bennett chuckles at Gasp playing with the sword like a child who's just received a gift. He then follows Crispy, Ashley, Hatt, and Gasp outside. "So we are going to go back to Cresthall? I don't think we should follow our mysterious friend. He decimated all of us, with the exception of Karra, within mere seconds. He only knocked us out this time, but do you think he'd have the same mercy the next time our paths cross?"
Crispy laughed and looked maybe a little too long back at Ashley. Definately she had a positive effect on her, and she wanted to please Ashley. She secretly yearned for evening so they could get to know each other better. Was it possible to change your programming for someone you were fond of?
Like a balloon popping, Crispy was snapped out of her admiration of Ashley when Bennett spoke. Her smile faded a bit as he turned to him as they walked. “We are. But first Hatt wants to talk to Pebb. You know, that thing you like to do?”

So, yes, to Cresthall I think.
"Sounds good to me." Crispy says after talking with Ashley. "There's something very off about that other group, and you're asking the same questions i wanna get answers too, Hatty McAskin."
"Then agreed." Karra says. "Head back to Cresthall, try and find out what we can, yes?" Gasp lights up his new sword, cooing and churring as as the flames flicker around the blade.
(Yeah, Karra will make sure that Gasp has mimicked the activation word, even if he doesn't know dwarven he can still say it.)
(Also totally forgot I had some damage. Short Rest (1 hit die): 8)
Ashley is ready to go. Well then, shall we head out?
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Tomoe Gozen: Human Fighter Samurai level 5 -- Cronero (Solo Campaign)
Karra nods. "Hmm, not want to outstay welcome any further."

Crispy tags along Hatt. Just because she would love to hear what he would further like to say. And plus she liked Hatt.
Gasp will go along as well, happily playing around with his dangerous flaming sword of doom!
Crispy smiled at Gasp, always a wonder. She grabbed Ashleys hand and said, “Come on youre coming too.”
o..ok Ashley holds Crispy's hand as the group departs.

This, this is the Crispy I like. Ashley returns the smile and chant help but notice the gleam in Crispy's eyes.
