Aurelia purses her lips for the briefest of moments at the repulsing smell, yet almost immediately regains her composure. However disgustin it was, her desire to look composed would always override any impulse. Instead she greets the wood elf with a nod of recognition and a smile.
"I, for one, am hoping to find somewhere to lend my skills."
While she is steadily walking towards the notice board, Aurelia scans the room to see if there is someone in obvious distress in need of assistance.
15 Perception to scan the room for potential individuals in need of immediate help.
Once at the board Aurelia purposely stands a bit off to the side, waiting for those looking to grab cases offering easy money to filter out first. When there's a handful less people in front of her, Aurelia takes a good look at the content on the board.
9 Perception to find anything that'll cater to the 'protecter' in her.
The wood elf smiles back, "I'm thankful for you service then adventurer, be sure to come back victorious!" He says as he looks to the others beside you. "Do any of you want anything to drink?"
As you make your way to the notice board, most of the people here seem to be fine, except some are becoming drunken messes. Most of the patrons here are in good spirits even the dwarf and the elf, as they start to laugh at each other. As you wait by the notice boards, you note the few people that grab some posts are in rather common clothes and bare no means of arms. Farmers or peasants trying out the adventurer's life style...yet one really catches your eye as a young sharp eared girl, possibly no more than 9, runs by with a post in hand. (If you wish to speak with her ignore the latter and call out to her.)
As shuffle to the front of the notice board, you notice an halfling by you, carefully skimming through the posts as well. As you start your search, you see that most of the posts are missing people. Looking for, asking for, willing to pay for, and the list goes on, it shows how some people are getting desperate to find those people. You read a couple and find that most of the posts are from the same place, a town called Mire Mists. It's location is just a bit of ways to the east. Although it seems that the reason seemingly no one picks up these posts that the rewards are getting increasingly lower. But one of these posts from that village seem to catch you off, as it bared a seal, meaning it had significance from the others.

Do you wish to take the post or look for another one?
Protect those who can't protect themselves. What did such a young girl do in a tavern like this, and, more importantly, why was she currently clutching a post in her small hands? Aurelia knew there were bigger tasks at hand pinned on the board, looking for services she ought to offer. But instead she channeled her entire focus on the young girl.
"Excuse me, young miss."
The pearly white Triton let her most genuine, curious expression onto her face. With a few steps she was close enough to the girl and bent a knee to bring her adult self down to the other's eye level.
"That is some mighty fine paper you're holding. What does it say?"
While waiting for an answer, Aurelia takes a good look at the child's appearance.

The girl looks to be of half elven and half human origin. Her hair a soft orange and her eyes beheld a gentle green look, curiously locked onto you. She wore some simple clothes, a bit tattered and worn in a couple of places but not bad enough that she was homeless. She doesn't say anything as she looks to the paper then to you.
"This is mine though..."
She looks a bit scared as she hugs the paper to her chest.

"Of course, I have no intention of taking what is yours. That would be very disrespectul of me."
Aurelia crossed her wrists and rested them atop her bent knee. She spoke in a soft voice, the last thing she wanted was to frighten the girl.
"In fact, I would like to offer my assistance if you'd have me. I have done what they request on that board a lot of times and thus already have all the gold I could possibly need. The reward would be all yours. What concerns me is that what you're about to do might not be a job for a young girl that's all alone. I'm very strong, so why don't you consider letting me help you."
Hatt’s hand is wavering by the notice about Mire Mists. Didn’t cousin Alreff stop by Mire Mists a few months ago? That must have been before the trouble started.
He almost takes the notice down, but is distracted by the Triton woman who suddenly moves away from the notice board to talk to a little girl. He stays where he is, but tries to listen in on what they’re saying. Nothing bad, surely, not with so many people around...
You've been waiting long enough. Stop fooling around. Make a decision. You need money. Not to mention you haven't slept in two days.
As Crispy drank, she pushed a piece of paper aside that was a job offer to explore an island for a private company that was looking to make a resort on it. It paid well, and someone had to make sure it was safe to do so. Ain't nobody got time for that, she thought to herself, and turned to the job board once more. This time, there were adventurer type looking people by it, and one of them was talking to a small girl. She folded the piece of paper and put it in her pocket. Maybe i'll explore that job with Chubby later. Maybe those people over there have something more interesting going on.
She finished her drink, got up, and walked over, curiosity overcoming her.
She strode slowly, with a confidence forged from years of experience. Physically, she was a woman in her late 20s, and the best way to describe her was that she looked like someone who was in the military, but one of those special organizations. She was lean, extremely athletic looking, had enough muscle to make her look dangerous but was not the size of a barbarian. She was tan, the sun had blessed her skin with a perfect hue, and those curves. She had all the curves a woman would want to keep men..or women..coming back for more. Not to mention those piercing blue eyes. On her right hip was a holster that held two deadly looking short swords. Nothing fancy, but looked military forged, not elven or dwarven in make. Over her studded leather armor was a long jacket that made her look like she was not only deadly, but intellectual as well, as if her job was looking for things, solving riddles, or dealing with people. Over all of her sharp striking features was that she had scars and old wounds, as if years and years of brawls and fighting were typical in her life. Thankfully, none were on her face, and her hair was pulled back in a ponytail, if a bit ragged.
The scars INSIDE, however? That was a story for another day.
She leaned against the job board listening to them talk, but didn't make an effort to hide the fact. The little girl was half-elven, but the other humanoid was..almost aquatic? How interesting.

The girl nods her head as she hands you the post in her hands. "Okay...but I need it back. My brother needs this post."
The post is heavily modified, as the reward was continually crossed out and replaced with a new amount. The location was very far off, in fact you'll need to take a ship to arrive at this place called Savasst. The client had withheld their name and the request its self was a bit awkward. All it asks is for the escort of goods on their ship, this task seems more fit for an mercenary company yet it was placed upon the adventurer's board.
Escort Wanted, discreet and willing to keep quiet
I'm asking for safe passage on the seas from pirates and monsters, rewarded handsomely
Location: Savasst, City of Dunes, a few weeks on sea, 2 weeks if the weather fares
Reward: 1,000 gold2,000 gold3,000 gold 4,500 gold
"Brother says the post is a bad one so I'm taking it to him." She points over to the serving lad you met earlier, "Something about a weird person putting it up...Did you want the post, lady?"
She looks up to you, tilting her head slightly before tugging on your chainmail, "If you want it then talk to my brother, he'll be happy that its gone." As she tries to lead you back to the lad you hear "Sasha! Come back here and help me out!" She gives a sigh as she lets go of your armor, "Okay ma'am!", She yells back as she runs off to the back of the bar, helping the dwarf with a bucket of water. She left the post with you, forgetting the task her brother has given her. What would you like to do with the post?
Crispy watches and listens to the verbal exchange, and finally says, smiling softly and inquisitively, "That's a lot of money.."
None of the other job offers even came CLOSE to that amount. Maybe this was a sign. You lost your job, your partner was killed, and your best friend is off in another town trying to find us work. You're not even allowed in your home town anymore, so try to make a good impression here and not ruin anything.
Aurelia closes her eyes for a second in relief. The young girl was safe in a place where she currently belonged, there was no further need to worry. The triton unfolded the post and her eyes caught on the word 'discreet', eyes narrowing into slits for a brief second before turning her attention back towards the other.
"Your brother? Then I'll-" and just like that the girl was gone, "... talk to him."
Protecting those at sea had been her livelyhood for far longer than she could remember. It was a task she knew well. But she didn't necessarily like the hint of missdeed the text gave her. Did the one who posted this note belong on her precious sea in the first place? Aurelia rose to her full length when she heard a voice, eyes skimming over the reward written and re-written on the post.
"In that, my friend, you are correct. But I have concernes about the motive behind the voyage described here."
Aurelia understood that the seemingly human female might be interested in the post, but knowing about the dreads of the sea she'd rather follow up on what the young girl had said first. The triton searched the crowd with her gaze and waved the man who had greeted her earlier over. She had approached the girl thinking she was headed out on a dangerous journey on her own. Knowing that wasn't the case, she felt like there were offers better suited for her still on the board compared to this... suspicious need of service.
"Excuse me, your sister said you were interested in this."
Crispy's mouth opened, about to introduce herself, but the triton walk away, apparently lost in thought. She made a face that was half amusement, half wonder. "Ok!" She said to herself, "I guess we're going over here!"
She followed close behind the triton, and again, listened to the conversation.
Belzin grabs the notice, he then climbs up a bar stool and then atop the bar. He calls out in as loud of voice as a halfling can muster; "Attention all, you are welcome to join me on this adventure. It appears that we will be clearing out a mine. Goblins naturally." His voice is posh and proper sounding, and his armor is hidden below layers of very fine nobels clothing. "I am going to wait outside the tavern for 5 minutes, join me if you'd like." Recognizing his privilege he then grabs a fistfull of gold and drops about ten pieces on the bar, "If you are to drink in cowardice, and not join me, at least do it for free." He then hops down and walks out the door.
Crispys attention turns to the halflings announcement. She casually walks outside, peeks her head out, and asks, “Hey, short-n-loud. How much is the reward on that one?”

He bows his head as he takes the post and tucks it under his arm. "Thank you for taking care of her chore, she's just busy with helping out Marav and running a few orders every now and then."
You the little half elven girl lugging the bucket to the vomit alongside the dwarf as the start to flush it out. The dwarf takes the buckets and motions to the back of the bar. Sasha nods as she hurries back there, giving you or her brother a wave as she rushes by.
"Are the two of you interested in this post? I can't say that the post is bad, it's just since it doesn't have much info to it, people are suspicious of it. But the man who did the post is here, he has a room upstairs. I'd talk to him if you want to know more. He's a dragonkin, copper scales in robes. Anyway, if you do see him, tell him he still needs to follow the rules here. No name, no post."
The lad rushes off to the occupied tables and continues on with his evening.

As you look over the board, you note the multiple missing persons or looking for post littering the board. Most posts varying around 10 gold to 50 gold. Most of the post seem to come from the town east of here about half a day away. Most of the posts are from common folk and friends to the people from there. One stands out as it bore a seal of office.

You take another look around the tavern, with a purpose to seek out the said dragonkin. And as luck would have it, he seems to linger upon the tavern's 2nd floor balcony, looking over the adventurers. His copper snout peeking out from his hood, fine silks cover his body with sigils upon the black and velvet. As he looks over to you, he gives a nod to you as he heads away from the balcony to small table upstairs.
Crispy looked at Belzin, and smirked, handing back the paper. This one had a sense of humor, and that's something she appreciated.
"I just saw a triton woman talking to a little girl who has a job that's offering at least 4500gp. How does that tickle your fancy, Holler McShouty?"
She heads back into the tavern, but not without doing a double take back at the halfling, as if remembering something. "I think a group might be forming, but we're deciding which job to take. And thanks for the drink." She winks.
The post Aurelia saw on the board was more than enough to pique her interest, and she promised herself to check and see if it was still there, should the dragonkin's request be too shady for her to accept. With that decided the pearly white triton made way towards the stairs, following the shortest route that lead her to the table that the cloaked indivudal had chosen.
"Greetings."
Aurelia nodded and sat down, looking at what she could see of the other's face - mainly the snout.
"Most of this lot is suspicious of your request. I am a daughter of the sea and a protector of the monsters that dwell there. I would gladly aid someone in your situation, should your quest be fair. That is why I'd like you to explain the journey you'll embark on in little more detail to me. Does that sound fair?"

"I understand that you are curious of such a request. But I made the reward as large as I can for the discretion asked. Though I'd be glad to soothe your worries on sea's prowlers, all I seek is that my cargo and I survive the journey. And I believe that my reward is quite generous enough to buy a few hushed words."
He pulls out a small bag from his belt, "And do not doubt that I have the gold. All I ask is safe passage, no need to know my name or know my cargo." He shakes the bag, and the coins inside clatter and clang inside until he tosses it on the table making a heavy thud against the wood. "If you do not want to help me then take the gold and forget we had this conversation."
