She takes Hatt's hand, and gives him a militaristic nod, smiling slightly.
"Crispy. People call me Crispy. Nice to meet you. Maybe this triton woman has something to offer us..?" She turns to the woman with an inquisitive smirk.
Relieved that her previous actions hadn't grated too much on the human's nerves, Aurelia gladly took a seat.
"My name is Aurelia, and I might have stumbled upon something worthwhile."
She finally got the chance to introduce herself to the two individuals seated at the table. When her gaze swept over the woman it lingered, her green eyes glimmering when she realized what she was doing. She knew that tritons weren't an all too common sight, and with her pearly white skin and pastel green hair she surely fit the bill of 'odd'.
"Let me guess. You've never met one of my kind before, have you?"
Aurelia rested her elbows on the table and cleared her throat.
"There is a ship that requests safe passage on the sea. The journey should take a handful of weeks, but no more than that. Our location is Savasst, the City of Dunes. The reward is 4,500 gold pieces. I have already decided to take up this offer, but am looking for people to help me on this quest. The ship will set sail in a week's time, so there's no need for rushed decisions."
"No, I haven't, to be honest." Crispy said, in slight amazement. "You're a little bit more exotic than i'm used to." She shook her head, as if to jostle a bad behavior. "Sorry. I'm Crispy. Nice to meet you."
She listened to the offer. She had nothing better going on, but she thought about the two other adventurers outside, and the halfling on her left. "Maybe him, and the two outside want to go, too?"
And finally, "You seemed to be very adamant about taking this particular quest. Why is that?"
((Sorry I am just now able to post! Long day at work!))
Bennett sat there, watching and drinking, in the form of an elderly male with a scar over his left eye (used Mask of Many Faces). He kept an eye on the adventurers going back and forth from the job board, decidingwho, if anyone, he would want to work with. It's been a long time since I've had to mingle with normal members of society. The military enlisted are... a little... rough around the edges. If I'm to make a good living and a name for myself, I need people I trust by my side. Bennett continues to watch the table where the Triton sat down. I haven't seen a Triton in years. Excellent folk.
((Again, I apologize for my absence, work is a bore lmao)
Aurelia chuckled at the woman's honest reply and smiled. Hopefully she could make a good first impression of her race.
"It's nice to meet you too, Crispy."
She let the human's offer linger in the air as she gave it some thought.
" 'The two outside', one of them was the hafling with the inspiring speech, correct? I don't see why not. If you're both up for the task, then why don't we head out and ask them? We might as well ask if they've found something of interest to keep us busy the week it takes them to prepare the ship for voyage."
When her interest in the post was brought up, Aurelia gave a small nod and raised a finger that stroked her bottom lip.
"Initially, no. I wanted to know if the poster had any ill intent behind their request and, if that was the case, make sure that said post wouldn't show up on the board again. It is a dangerous journey, and I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be done for the wrong reasons. But after talking to them I'm convinced that lending my hand won't be a mistake. Us tritons have protected people against the monsters of the sea for a very long time. While pirates may be our main concern, this quest reminded me of why I'm here in the first place."
Belzin gasps and then laughs; "that's quite the trick!" He runs his hand through his hair for a moment. "You got any leads? That was an impressive board. I've got a lead on a goblin infested mine. Sounds like the human woman had something a little more substantial though..."
"They seemed to be looking for work, too, yes. Another halfling and a...bird person...?" She said, not quite finding the word. She got out of her seat, and held her arm out to gesture them both outside. "Might as well ask, right?"
She nodded in understanding as Aurelia spoke, and when she mentioned how they have protected people against the monsters of the sea, Crispy's gaze wavered as she took a look deep inside herself, thinking, "What about the monsters in our souls..?"
"After you." She smiled as she snapped back to the present.

Savasst… Savasst… Hatt thinks for a moment, and tries to remember. 16 History to see if he recognises the name of this city.
Then he speaks to the newly-arrived Triton woman.
Hello, I’m Hatt. He offers his hand. I wanted to say thank you for checking on that little girl just now. This is a gathering place for heroes, I guess, but so few would think to do such a thing.
I think Mr. McWeeShouty is still outside, talking about goblins. I’ve seen a triton before in the city, I think, but definitely no goblins!
Crispy's eyes widened and she chuckled at the halfling's nickname for the other halfling. Another person with a sense of humor. This might turn out to be a good day.
Aurelia took Hatt's hand and shook it, nodding in acknowledgement to what he said.
"I could never turn a blind eye to such a sight. Luckily she already had caring eyes following her every step."
The triton snorted at the apt nickname, feeling much lighter at heart as she listened to the conversation. Her talk with the dragonkin had been a short but serious one, and she would gladly put that at the back of her mind for now. Instead she followed the human and the halfling out, letting Crispy take the lead as she seemed the most familiar with the halfling waiting outside.
6.5f tall (198cm) brass dragonborn in dark green thick cloak enters the tavern. He looks around surprised by the number of different patrons. Not knowing who to ask he just shouts from the door
"Hello, I am Cork. Is there a free space here so i can rest?"

The name does not stir your memory much, mostly just that its a city across the sea. Hopefully more information will come to light later on from this mysterious client.

The orc by the door snorts at you, "Go speak with Marav." She points to the bar with the dwarf behind it, wiping down the bar as a small group passes by you, being led by a human woman followed a woman triton and a halfling man. You tower above them as they pass you.
Watching the Triton and the rest leave, Bennett pounds his drink back, stands up and starts walking to the door (dispelling Mask of Many Faces as he walks to the door).
As he walks outside he, very awkwardly, reaches his hand out for the Triton to shake. "I must say, it's been a long while since I've seen a Triton. Name's Bennett."
"I would assume you've never seen a kenku either."
Aurelia smiled at Crispy before turning her attention toward the two who they had found just outside, waiting for their part of the introduction. While doing so, a human man walks out just a few moments after them. When she's approached she happily shakes his hand.
"It's nice of you to seek me out, Bennett. The name's Aurelia. Say, I'd love to hear about the last time you saw a triton."
"G'day blue lady" Cork nods his head. He moves to the bar "G'day mr Marav. Do you have any local delicacy? I am new here"
She grumbles to you, "Well its Miss, but we got apple pie baking right now, or we got some fresh bread and some cuts of mutton...And besides that ale, ale, and cheaper ale." She tosses the rag over her shoulder and calls out, "Sasha!", She pats the bar in front of you as a small half elven girl runs over to you, "Once you make up your mind, tell the girl, she'll bring the food then you'll pay her."
Bennett thinks, It would have had to be in the military... I served with one... what was his name?
"It must've been while I was in the military a few years back. His name escapes me at the moment. He served in the same company as I did. He was a good soldier and an even more excellent card player."
"Aha, there you are, Tall-y Mc.... Legs..." Belzin's face falls flat for a moment as he realizes that he might not be as great with comebacks as he though. He shakes it off quickly and returns to normal, carrying on with a confident smile, "It's a pleasure to meet you. Name's Belzin Reedsfellow." He bows and looks expectantly, assuming you recognize the family name. "Any leads? It sounded like my 'vertically gifted' stumbled onto some sort of great adventure earlier. If not, there is always my goblin infested mine."
