”Give me about an hours rest and I can canvas the whole area.” Leif tips his hat and a hummingbird darts out. “Be on your best behavior little one.” If he can short rest, afterwards he will cast flock of familiars greet each by name and send them off to look for the datura.
"Fair enough, Leif. That fight did take a bit out of you." replies Screechirk, shuddering as he recalls the gnome's cries of pain during his spellcasting. He turns to Nargis, "Could you get us some food and wine to catch our strength with?" He mentions the glitter to Leif as a lead once they're ready.
Leif accepts the bread and water then begins a long conversation with Glass, about the summoning. An hour and ten minutes later a family of sprites appear; Glass, Lotus, Spelt, & Thistle.
Lief greet each one they embrace one another then after a brief description of whom is being looked for, “To the four winds, as unseen as the breeze.”
the family of sprites blinks invisible and flies off in search of the datura.
As Screechirk and Leif leave The Thornapple, the streets are alive with joyful music and exuberant festival-goers watching an oncoming parade.
An open carriage drawn by an ox leads the procession. The carriage bears a large man wearing a white mask and vines of jeli flowers. He waves to the adoring public as figures in gowns and head scarves the colour of jeli flowers march after him, sweeping the ground in wide strokes with handmade brooms.
Nearby, locals call out to the man in an attempt to get his attention, "Prince of Vice".

Leif recalls that the March of Vice is overseen by the Prince of Vice, who acts as both an organiser and a theatrical figure. Chosen by the Kings of Coin, the masked Prince of Vice marches in the parade every evening. The parade is to be followed by the Covenant of Magic, magic-using elders who wave fans and brooms, symbolically sweeping Zinda's sins into the sea. On the tenth night, the Prince of Vice steps into the sea and sheds their mask, bringing the festivities to a close.

"Your familiars found the datura heading towards a pier, right?" asks Screechirk to Leif. "Prince of Vice. Chosen by Kings of Coin. Think this may be another assassination attempt? If so it might be best if we stop him."
Leif will direct his familiars to stay invisible and track the Datura, he will look through Glass’ eyes and see where exactly they are then he will head straight to the spot.
Leif realises that the parade is heading straight towards the pier. However, there are too many people in the parade for anyone to squeeze past.
As the parade draws nearer the jetty, grasping weeds and vines erupt from the cobblestone street beneath the carriage at the head of the parade. The ox pulling the cart panics, causing the vehicle to careen into a post covered in decorations. The vegetation then wraps around the cart’s wheels and the closest bystanders. A pair of revelers produce weapons, revealing themselves to be guards protecting the Prince of Vice.
However, Leif spots the woman wearing green and yellow throwing something towards the cart. Then not a moment later, a cloud of pink ashes burst from a sachet, striking the two guards.
