Serelis remains frustrated: "What are these vines made of?"
Perhaps distracted by Biscuit's momentary lapse in focus, Doozey can't quite avoid all of the most recent scarecrow attacks. Even so, whatever magic is imbued in those claws does not seem powerful enough to bypass the halfling's mental defenses. (Doozey takes 8 slashing damage, after halving.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Tit for tat, fair enough. But you'll--" But the rest dies in Doozey's throat upon hearing Biscuit cry out. "Crumbasket! Hang in their, Biscuit!"He yells before once again turning his blade upon the scarecrow, determined all the more to even it up by taking out its other arm at the joint! But only in success in felling the creature would he risk it all catching a vine whip while dancing across the entanglement of greenery on the ground.
Action(Doozey): Bloody Carving upon the Scarecrow! (Melee, Lethal)Apostle - Attack #1: 29 Damage: 17 of magical slashing and lightning. (Melee, Lethal)Apostle - Attack #2: 16 Damage: 11 of magical slashing and lightning. (Spending another charge of Favored Foe, and dealing an additional 4 piercing on 1st attack to hit (Plus 6 if also a crit)). (Also if 1st attack is sufficient to bring down scarecrow, redirecting 2nd attack to Vine Blight(U-20))
Movement(Doozey): To P-21. (if scarecrow is defeated, accepting AoO from Vine Blight(U-20).
Bonus Action(Doozey): Cast (3rd level)Tater's Total Touch Up! at M-28, ending concentration on Favored Foe. (If Scarecrow defeated)
Biscuit's cry of pain encourages Doozey to rush through his duel. The halfling continues to carve pieces off the scarecrow's body as fast as his sword-wielding skills allow him, including by re-marking his foe (Favored Foe). Still, it looks like the mastiff will need to wait a bit longer. (Scarecrow {T-22} takes 23 magical slashing and lightning damage.)
The vine-whipping continues for those who are relatively close to the Viny Plants:
Utar is not having a good time with these plants. Not only are his feet entangled, but now so is his neck once again (grappled and restrained). It also hurts! (Utar takes 7 bludgeoning damage.)
The enemy targeting Doozey is not as accurate with his vite whip, but it sounds like Biscuit cannot count on the same kind of luck (grappled and restrained). The mastiff feels a sting! (Biscuit takes 11 bludgeoning damage.)
Neya turns to her next target and releases a flurry of blows! One of the punches inadvertently goes straight for a pointy thorn, so the monk pulls that one a second early to avoid some unnecessary damage to herself. (Pointy Plant#4 {N-18} takes 30 magical bludgeoning damage and is DEFEATED.)
Denae tries to lend Biscuit the help Doozey can't quite deliver at the moment. She aims one arrow at the Viny Plant ahead, and another at the remaining Pointy Plant near the mastiff.
-> Longbow vs. Viny Plant#2 {N-28}: Attack: 28 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
-> Longbow vs. Pointy Plant#2 {L-29}: Attack: 15 Damage: 8
-> Planar Warrior damage on first attack to hit: 5 (if crit: 2)
(@MB: The Spiritual Weapon attack still counts as your attack, and it looks like you did not roll your attack with disadvantage from being restrained, so here's another roll: 11.)
Denae claims one kill out if the two shots. It is a worse performance than she had hoped, so she clicks her tongue in self-critique. (Viny Plant#2 {N-28} takes 11 magical piercing and force damage and is DEFEATED.)
(@Ori: Biscuit lost the benefit from the dodge action from being momentarily restrained. The creature restraining him was then killed by Denae, so he was no longer restrained. I am not sure if that means that he suddenly regains the benefit of the dodge, but I'm going to say that's a no for now. Happy to be convinced otherwise. At any rate, ignoring the second roll in the attack above, the final attack roll is still 16.)
Utar's armor catches many of the incoming needles, but not all. (Utar takes 18 piercing damage.)
Neya weaves out of the way of the next attack aimed at her, as does Biscuit.
Serelis is beginning to rethink his career choice as a ranger. Vines have been the bane of his fighting ability in this combat!
Doozey sidesteps the first attack from the scarecrow, but the second one comes in a tad too quickly even for the werebadger's heightened senses. (Doozey takes 10 slashing damage, after halving.)
Still, the frightening effect from the construct's claws have no impact on the halfling.
Though the claws were finding no purchase on the stoutling's psyche directly, with every wound suffered came more feral sounding growls and more swift but less precise retaliatory sweeps of the blade from Doozey. "By the ninez! What did she imbue this scarecrow with!? A giant's heart!?"He complains while making his second strike an upwards stroke aimed more for the constructs chest. But if after all of that the scarecrow yet stood its ground, Doozey lets out a growl of frustration that turns into a forced word of power, summoning the spirit of Taters to zip over and begin mending Utar's wounds. Meanwhile, Biscuit continues to doggedly hold his ground even as the strange mixture of blood and sap continues to pour from his fresh wounds.
Action(Doozey): Bloody Carving upon the Scarecrow! (Melee, Lethal)Apostle - Attack #1: 24 Damage: 13 of magical slashing and lightning. (Melee, Lethal)Apostle - Attack #2: 28 Damage: 14 of magical slashing and lightning. (If Favored Foe still up, dealing an additional 4 piercing on 1st attack to hit (Plus 3 if also a crit)). (Also if 1st attack is sufficient to bring down scarecrow, redirecting 2nd attack to Vine Blight(U-20))
Bonus Action(Doozey): Cast (3rd level)Tater's Total Touch Up! at I-25(Utar's space), ending concentration on Favored Foe(if not previously ended).
Doozey's increasingly savage attacks finally do their job. The reverse vertical strike to the scarecrow's chest cleaves it in two, doing away with whatever mockery of life the construct had been imbued with. (Scarecrow {T-22} takes 17 magical slashing and lightning damage and is DEFEATED.)
Before turning to mending his allies, the halfing distracts the other nearby enemy with another slash of his blade. (Viny Plant#3 {U-20} takes 14 magical slashing and lightning damage.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Maybe it's the heat of battle, maybe it's his frustration at these Torm-cursed plantfolk keeping him bound this whole time, maybe getting this close to the feywild is making brain go a little squiffy but Utar could swear he saw Taters. Briefly. Only for a second and Taters wasn't all there. It was like when Utar's former comrades emerged from the weave, shimmery and sort of see-through.
Instead of trying to break free for a third time only to be wrapped up once again, Utar instead fixes the nearest of the plantfolk with a hard stare, casting command. His voice drops as low as it can and he utters out a single word. "Flee."
At the same time he shifts his spectral warhammer slightly to swing at the plantkin at D,24.

Engaged with only one enemy, Neya can afford to be more careful with her next strikes in order to avoid puncturing her own hands at her target's spiky surface. One, two, three, four... the creature falls to the ground after that. (Pointy Plant#3 {M-18} takes 32 magical bludgeoning damage and is DEFEATED.)
Biscuit is similarly engaged with one last plant enemy. Denae tries to release the pressure on the mastiff:

-> Claw vs. Doozey: Attack: 23 Damage: 21
