Unless we’ve missed some secret passage to underground catacombs, we’re running out of places where the old dwarf Gundren could be held captive, assuming he’s still alive that is.
Wilhorn gives Drool the rein to follow his nose to sniff out the scent of dwarf.
Drool Perception: (12, 14) +3 (modifier, adv due to Keen Hearing and Smell)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
This chamber has been set up as a crude living space, with thick furs thrown on the floor to serve as carpets, old trophies hanging on the walls, a large bed to the north, and a brazier of coals burning brightly. A round table with several chairs stands to the south near the door. Near the table, on the floor, is an unconscious dwarf who looks badly beaten.
[OOC: Dorah can't really die, as she is a summonable creature and she is currently at 18/25 HP's so if you want to save the cure spell by all means go ahead and save it. I can summon her once per day with a bonus action, so if she goes poof, I can just summon her back with full HP's on a following round.]
Vex looks about the room and seeing the threats in side steps into the room and off to the side. making room for the others to get inside as well. Signaling Dorah to leap off her back and attack the wolf. As Vex brings up his hand-crossbow to point it at the drow and fires. Dorah readies to leap off Vex's back and breaths on his hand-crossbow once more infusing it with lightning energy.
Hand-Crossbow vs. Vyerith (Pack Tactics): To Hit (14,6) 24 Piercing Damage: 11 Infused Strike: 1 Total Damage: 12
Dorah will then leap off my back and attempt to bite the wolf.
Dorah bite vs wolf: To hit: 10 Piercing Damage: 4
Pack Tactics work only if someone gets within 5' of my target and is not incapacitated. I am going to assume someone gets within melee with the drow, though my first roll was a 14 so does not really matter this time around.
DC 14 CHA save or -1d4 to all attack and saving throws for 10 rounds or loss of concentration.
King Grol (bugbear) attempts a Charisma Save DC 14 vs 8 Snarl (wolf) attempts a Charisma Save DC 14 vs 11 Vyerith (drow) attempts a Charisma Save DC 14 vs 17
Jyin against King Grol, Longsword Attack: 21 Damage: 8
King Grol takes 8 damage. King Grol (37/45)
Jying against Snarl, Spiritual Weapon Attack: 25 Damage: 10
Snarl takes 10 damage. Snarl (8/18)
The bugbear turns to look at the drow, "Vyerith, did you bring allies to steal the map from me, just so that you would not have to negotiate a price? No member of Cragmaw would ever oppose King Grol."
"Shut-up you fool. These are clearly interlopers. Kill them and give me the map already. Kill the dwarf while your at it. He knows too much."
The chamber reeked of stale sweat and woodsmoke, the meager firelight barely penetrating the dusty shadows. But to Daewen, the scene was crystal clear. A flicker of movement – a dark-haired drow woman standing near the table – sent a primal surge of hatred through her veins. Generations of animosity flared, a burning ember fanned into a roaring inferno. With a silent snarl, she vanished from the doorway in a blink of darkness (Bonus Action: Blessing of the Raven Queen), her Gloom Stalker abilities cloaking her in an inky shroud. Materializing a heartbeat later with deadly precision, she stood behind the unsuspecting Vyerith. The drow barely had time to register the sudden chill in the air before Daewen sprung. One rapier, a blur of silver in the dim light, whistled through the air, aimed for the drow's vulnerable neck (attack with advantage due to surprise). With a ferocious grunt, Daewen unleashed a second attack, the other rapier flashing out, seeking a vital point in Vyerith's armor (second rapier attack). This was no mere fight – it was an eruption of generations-old vengeance, a whirlwind of steel driven by a fury that burned brighter than any torch. As a final flourish in this deadly dance, she unleashed a chilling Dread Ambusher attack, her spectral form briefly flickering into existence as the rapier in her leading hand tore towards another vital point on Vyerith's body (Dread Ambusher bonus attack). In a heartbeat, Daewen unleashed a three-pronged assault, a flurry of steel fueled by ancient hatred.
As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Once you use this trait, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
Starting at 3rd level, you also gain resistance to all damage when you teleport using this trait. The resistance lasts until the start of your next turn. During that time, you appear ghostly and translucent.
OOC: Are we still under a Bless spell? Your post #1193 mentions a Bless bonus. If that's the case, please add the following three 1d4 Bless rolls to each of my three individual attacks above: Attack #1 = 3, Attack #2 = 3, Attack #3 = 4
