As we approach the room to the north, is it visible that there are closed/open/no doors? Wilhorn is trying to time a Bless just before we encounter the monster.

Very helpful, thank you. How about that door to the north? ”Could we flank whatever is inside by approaching from the northern small room?” He whispers.
Northern Room This small room is a separate workspace, where items being prepared for enchantment were polished, lacquered, and otherwise finished. Like the main workshop, it has been almost completely destroyed.
I don't see why not. Sounds slightly complicated but I'll allow it. Basically, you want to attempt a pincer movement by opening two entrances simultaneously. Let's do it. How about we say if you want to use stealth, then it's two checks, one for the North Team and one for the West Team, and it will be opposed by the Monster.
Jyin and Wilhorn will come through the West Daewen and Vex comes through the North
Everyone roll initiative and stealth and we will have the initiative split three ways

Jyin helps to break the doors (quietly) so that you can simultaneously jump in and attack the unknown monster with a coordinated attack. All goes well enough, except that the Monster is alert and spots you, so no surprise Round. Everyone has superior initiative, so players go first, followed by monsters, but bless can be precast at a penalty of 1 round.
This large workshop was badly damaged by the ancient spell battle that laid waste to the mine. Worktables taking up two corners of the room are scorched, and the plaster has been burned off the masonry walls. In the middle of the room, a stone pedestal holds a small brazier in which an eerie green flame dances and crackles. The brazier and its pedestal appear to have been untouched by the forces that destroyed this area. Behind the brazier of green flame floats a spherical creature measuring roughly four feet in diameter. Four eyestalks protrude from its central mass, two on each side. In the center of the body is a large eye that stares at you.
"Hello," says a thick, burbling voice inside your head.
(Hadn’t expected to split the party. So when we all step into the Forge room and Daewen, Jyin, and Vex are within 30’ of each other, Wilhorn will cast Bless instead of pre-casting.)
Wilhorn steps to the side inside the Forge room with his glass staff at the ready and gets a good look at what appears to be a small beholder (at least what he’s heard old wives tales about them). He completes his cast of Bless and then is shocked at the civility of the “monster” talking in his head.
He blinks in amazement and confusion and utters a hesitant, “Uhm, hello …?”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The creature's disembodied voice echoed eerily within Daewen's mind, sending a shiver down her spine. But before she could dwell on the unsettling intrusion, Jyin had already charged into battle. Reacting with lightning reflexes, Daewen unleashed a flurry of attacks, her dual rapiers transformed into a whirlwind of deadly precision. Her first strike, aimed for the creature's central eye, was a blur of silver and deadly intent. The second rapier followed suit a heartbeat later, its tip seeking a vulnerable point on the pulsating sphere. Capitalizing on the distraction caused by her initial blows, Daewen spun with deadly grace, pressing a finger to her Clockwork Amulet for a guaranteed hit. This ensured her third attack wouldn't falter. The remaining rapier darted out, aiming to sever one of the creature's twitching eyestalks with a force fueled by both magic and honed skill.
The fight was far from over, but Daewen wouldn't let this bizarre monstrosity impede their progress. Her strikes were relentless, each one a calculated attempt to cripple and defeat the creature before it could unleash its own unknown abilities.

Brazier of Green Flame. A successful DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) check identifies the brazier as the source of the magic that suffuses the surrounding caverns. This magic has waned over the years, to the extent that it can no longer be harnessed to permanently enchant magic items. However, if you place a non-magical item, such as a piece of armor, into the flame for at least 1 min, it will gain a +1 enhancement that lasts for 12 hours.
Lying on the floor next to the Brazier is a magic mace inscribed with the word, "Lightbringer" a +1 magic mace that glows with radiant light and deals +1d6 damage against undead. And a magic breastplate marked, "Dragonguard", cast in a goldish bronze color, clearly in the dragon scale motif, it acts as a +1 breastplate but also grants advantage on saved against dragon breath weapon attacks.
Everyone has time to "dip" a weapon, ammunition, or a piece of armor into the Brazier for 1 min. The ranger should take the +1 Breastplate and Jyin will add the Lightbringer Mace to his collection of Magic melee items that the party doesn't want (Hew and Lightbringer)
Jyin spends 1 minute putting his shield into the brazier Vex spends 1 minute with his studded leather in the brazier
Daewen spends 1 minute putting her regular rapier into the brazier
Daewen spends 1 minute putting her regular longbow into the brazier
Daewen spends 1 minute sitting down in the brazier, increasing all her stats by +1 (just kidding...)
Victory pulsed through the air, a tangible reward for their harrowing battle. The source of the magic was evident – the eerie green flame dancing within the brazier. While it couldn't permanently enchant items, a temporary boost was enough. With a grim nod to her companions, Daewen stepped forward. Her movements were precise as she first placed her rapier, then her longbow, within the flickering green flames. The brazier crackled with renewed energy, bathing the weapons in a malevolent glow for a full minute each. With a satisfied glint in her eyes, Daewen retrieved her enchanted weapons, a +1 bonus shimmering faintly on their surfaces.
Next came the armor. Doffing her familiar studded leather, a wry thought flashed through Daewen's mind. 'This would have certainly come in handy when we were fighting that dragon earlier!' But regrets wouldn't win battles. She hefted the Dragonguard breastplate, its dragon scale motif glinting in the dim light. The cold metal was surprisingly comfortable, a reassuring weight against her skin. As she secured the buckles, a sense of newfound fortitude settled over her. They had faced dangers untold, and emerged stronger, better equipped. Whatever challenges awaited them in these caverns, Daewen, cloaked in her newfound defenses, was ready.
