of course and why not flaming snakes? Fits perfectly along with purple worms, trolls and other what-nots we've encountered so far. This room looks a wee bit empty though. perception10
Uh? Not trapped or locked, maybe just stuck? Think we could force it open? Wonder if my magic is strong enough to open it? Ragdor gets lost in thought as if he's discussing the matter over with The Lady.
XANTH and RAGDOR push open the stuck stone door. Stale air rushes out of the room. You see faded mosaic tiles that still decorate parts of the wall, but most have fallen to the dust-covered floor and shattered. Situated at the center of the chamber and standing on a rectangular stone base is a slim pedestal of rusted iron shaped like an upright dragon. In the dragon’s mouth rests an empty tray.

Glynt catches up, "Sorry, I needed to go water a corner and you guys took off without me, I'm back now. What did I miss? Ohh... that looks interesting"
Glynt will go and very carefully Investigate the room looking for anything that moves, traps, cracks or writing hidden by the dust or broken tiles and to try and identify what the mosaic is of. Moving in a circular pattern from the outside in.
Bix will walk slowly around the room trying to make out the mosaics, following Glynt. I have never seen anything like this. I wonder what it says or what it means.
ERKY will look at BIX, “Long ago this place was a fortress to the Cult of the Dragon, Ashardalon, a Great Red Worm (Dragon). Then over a hundred years ago, a massive earthquake opened the ground and the fortress was swallowed into the earth. It has since been known as the Sunless Citadel. The rift we just crossed was further evidence of the destruction. It looks like the mosaic was once an image of Ashardalon.”

Xanth looks back. "Come on guys." He will move to the SW.
Right behind you we are
ERKY catches up with the party.
BIX will not hear any sounds along the rift.
(Map Updated!)
Xanth will head down the hallway.
XANTH will look around the corner and see a door.
ERKY will jump into the rift and look around, "Pew...what is that smell." The Gnome examines the two-foot-wide holes.
ERKY Investigation Check 12
(Map Updated.)
The Gnome will recall something. Fire Snakes makes holes like these. Look out for them.
Fire snakes you say? What are those? Continues to follow Xanth into the next room.
I have never heard of fire snakes either. Bix follows and tries to see into the rift.
ERKY will say, “They are young Salamanders. Fire creatures with snake-like bodies. Very dangerous.”

RAGDOR will not find any traps, but the door appears stuck, like nothing has gone past it in eons.
"I could try to kick it open. By the way wheres Glynt? "
Uh? Not trapped or locked, maybe just stuck? Think we could force it open? Wonder if my magic is strong enough to open it? Ragdor gets lost in thought as if he's discussing the matter over with The Lady.
(Strength Check can be used to force the door open if that is what the party wants to do.)
Ragdor will you give me a hand? Erky could you give us some guidance?
Strength check = 23+1= 24

Investigation: 24
The mosaic was of a massive Red Dragon. GLYNT will wonder if the pedestal is sitting on a lid to the stone base. This could be a sarcophagus.
