GLYNT would be able to take initiative over the Fire Snakes. His Faerie Fire will work giving Advantage on all attacks. If you roll an Initiative higher than 8 you can act ahead of the Fire Snakes.
Bix, aiming her crossbow from the other side of the door at S2, pulls the trigger, a whispering twang sounds out as the bolt flys away, 22 to hit for 9 damage. Oh, initiative roll 16.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

ROUND ONE
A whispering twang is heard at the door as BIX puts a bolt into the nearest FIRE SNAKE.
XANTH goes into a Rage that has nothing to do with the poor choices for President. Oddly, flowers and vines start to grow around the big Barbarian. He moves up to within the reach of his Glaive strikes, misses, and backs up.
GLYNT moves into the room and suddenly causes the FIRE SNAKEs to shimmer with a green glow.
With BIX's wooden bolt catching fire in its body, the nearest FIRE SNAKEmoves to attack the Raging Barbarian, but XANTH swings his blade and decapitates the second FIRE SNAKE.
The first FIRE SNAKE navigates the flowers and vines around XANTHand attacks. BITE 6 DMG 6 - TAIL 23 DMG 6
ERKY moves in next to GLYNT and misses with a Ray of Frost.
RAGDOR moves in and strikes the first FIRE SNAKE. A flame erupts from the FIRE SNAKE’sbody scorching the Cleric. (RAGDOR takes 3 Fire Damage)
Bah! the smell of burnt hair fills the area as the strike on the snake results in snake flames licking at Ragdor's beard. He recoils in horror at the thought of his beard being engulfed in flame, swinging wildly at the snake, attack roll nat 1. (( we can play this out as you see fit. ))
"Well, it's been an eventful day. How is everyone doing do we need a break? " Xanth will ask this as he aid the group in searching the room and bodies.
Damnable fire snakes! Who in all of creation thought it was a good idea to make flaming snakes?!? Ragdor runs his hand through it scooched beard and is almost brought to tears. Looks around at his party mates, eyeing Xanth, looks like you took the brunt of the damage, think we've still got that scroll and I still have favor with the blessed lady for the rest of the day if we need to heal you up.
We can manage that, let's pull back to one of the rooms across the big hall though. I'll have a look about this room before we settle down for a short rest. perception roll 22

FIRE SNAKE 2 DEX SAVE 10

Go ahead with Round One actions.
Initiative 6
why did it have to be snakes? Ragdor swings with the hammer at snake 1, 18 to hit for 9 damage.
Xanth
Initiative = 14
Last Rage for the day = 7
Flowers and vines temporarily grow around you; until your rage ends, the ground within 15 feet of you is difficult terrain for your enemies.
He moves up and attack F1
Attack = 10 Damage = 13+2 = 15
Then he will back up.
Reaction if one comes within 10ft
Attack = Nat 20 for 25 Damage = 20 + 4 = 24

ROUND TWO
(Map updated)
(Note the Damage from the Fire Snakes is 3 Piercing or Bludgeoning and 3 Fire for each attack.)
(So, from the attack on him he will take half of 3 and the full 3 from the fire. So, the total would be 4 or 5?)
Xanth will slash at the last one.
Attack = 11 Damage = 9+2 = 11
Offhand Attack = 18 Damage = 4
(Xanth takes 3 from the fire for the attack he made to hit the snake. I think the first one missed.)
Bah! the smell of burnt hair fills the area as the strike on the snake results in snake flames licking at Ragdor's beard. He recoils in horror at the thought of his beard being engulfed in flame, swinging wildly at the snake, attack roll nat 1. (( we can play this out as you see fit. ))
Round 2 - I will use Vicious Mockery (Cantrip/60ft range) on Remaining Fire Snake "Your mother is so ugly, she has a collection of medusa statues!"
Wisdom Save - DC 12,
FAILED SAVE = 4 Psychic Damage and Disadvantage on it's next turn.
Successful Save = No Effect at all.
(BIX has an action before the last Fire Snake.)
(@XANTH - a total of 4 is fine.)
Bix raises her bow and fires at the last snake. (18 to hit). (4 damage + 7 sneak attack = 11 damage total)
BIX 22 XANTH 14 GLYNT 10 FIRE SNAKE 8 ERKY 7 RAGDOR 6
ROUND TWO
BIX puts an arrow solidly into the FIRE SNAKE.
XANTH slashes but misses, then swings around with a solid strike using the Glaive's butt. This blow kills the FIRE SNAKE.
GLYNT lets out an insult against the FIRE SNAKE.
It may not have had an affect on the FIRE SNAKE, but ERKY admired its quality with a laugh.
VICTORY!

I’m glad those fire snakes are dead. They are an abomination. Bix walks over to Xanth to see how he is doing.

RAGDOR finds, amazingly, five more high quality uncut sapphires in what can best be described as a nest. Each are worth 50 gpcs.
(What does the party do next?)
So, we pull back to one of the smelly goblin rooms or use this room to rest?
