(For ease of targeting, they are distinguished as A-D as the default in the DDB combat tracker. And A and B are unconscious .
(Should we be able to access that encounter in the combat tracker? I haven't been able to locate a link.)
(I believe it is a DM only tool. It just links to the game log so I can roll for monsters and track health/initiative if using it)
(If you use the DDB encounter tool and you do want to share it, you can copy the link and paste it here. Note, that we may be able to see the HP of the enemy and other spoilers. I had access to encounters in another campaign and that's how it was done there, just the direct link worked fine.)
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
[[Just checking, I didn't miss a short rest after the troll, did I?]]
(No. The warlock group took one, but you bards didn't stop for a rest at all)
The rapier gets sidestepped easily. (As a rapier isn't light, you can't do the two weapon fighting without the dual wielder feat. Apologies if you did this against the troll and I just didn't notice. If you are planning your build to be able to take both attacks, I am happy for you to swap out for a shortsword instead of a rapier. And if you want that in character, these enemies have shortswords)

(Interesting. As I am not doing a set order, I will keep it hidden for the purpose of hiding hp.)
The appearance of the avian attackers startled Sterling at first, but seeing Wagner race into action, he quickly moved forward. "Go!" he whispered to Jasper, who darted forward to land on Wagner's shoulder as his master advanced.
"Kni'k-lavana!" the bard yelled, visualizing his familiar while focusing his magic through the words. When confident he was close enough to demand the other attacker's attention, he then quickly side-stepped into a more defensive position.
JASPER'S MOVE: Rush forward to land on Wagner STERLING'S MOVE: Move closer to the other avian (D), then (if available) find at least half-cover behind an overturned table or other furniture STERLING'S ACTION: Cast Cure Wounds on Wagner through Jasper (using his reaction,) doing 5 HP of healing
(oops, I was waiting for Casz and just saw their post of hiding.)
Two of the creatures are still snoring, the other two drop their bows and draw their shorswords. Being the only one in melee, they attack Wagner, one of them missing (12)the other one hitting a gap in the armour (23to hit, 5 damage)
Oriace sees how two of the birdfolk attack Wagner and nearly take him down. Two, he thinks, that means the other two are unconscious and my spell had taken effect. Good. He takes heart, gets up and engages in melee with his rapier drawn. Oriace hums along with Wagner in hopes to inspire heroism in him. At the first opportunity, he lunges at the injured foe.
Move: get up and close in Action: draw rapier and attack injured bird, hit 23 for 9 damage Bonus: Bardic Inspiration for Wagner (1d6)
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
There was no injured foe yet (the dagger attack didn't happen due to the two weapon fighting rule). But both of your attacks hit. And I will put them on the same creature (D).
You gang up on one of the bird creatures, making light work of it. You might both be injured, but you are still much healthier than the now dead bird.
"Stand down and we might let you live," snarled the bard as he stepped back from drawing blood. He quietly prayed the creature was selfish enough to value its own life; they still needed answers, and even an obstinate suspect was better for that than a corpse.
"We don't even need him. The other two are only unconscious. His life's more or less worthless unless he tells us something his sleeping friends cannot."
Are you trying to persuade the party to kill them? Or them to talk? If against the party, I am not a fan of rolling persuasion checks between people, I much prefer persuasion being a literal is the player persuaded enough (or at least believes their character would be). If the bird creature, just adjust the modifier to be intimidation (keep the die roll)

[Not against the party, no. And not a direct Intimidation. He's just saying aloud that the others have the same information this one does. So unless he has something better, something the others don't know or have, he's no more valuable than the others we already have. Plus, my roll was a 12. With Intimidation, it only goes up to 15, not 17. Would a deception roll work, since it's a bluff? That would keep it at 17, and I could easily reflavor it.]
You see the creature thinking, having just been hit by Sterling, and then without warning, it suddenly brings its sword down through the chest of one of the sleeping ones, which promptly stops breathing. It opens its beak, and really surreally (especially for Casz) it speaks in Casz's voice "tells something friends cannot" before switching into a raspy dwarven sounding voice "dead men tell no tales"
Sterling's eyes widened as the avian slew its companion before turning to speak. They then narrowed. "You all will tell us what you know," he sneered; dashing forward, he thrust at the creature again with his blade.
"What did you do that for," asks Oriace the Kenku perplexed. "These are your friends!" He aims for a non vital area of the Kenku's body and attempts a well placed thrust with his rapier to take him out.
Action: Attack with rapier intending non-lethal damage, hit 25 for 7 damage

Sterling misses (obviously with that roll). Oriace the kenku responds in Casz's voice again "His life's more or less worthless unless he tells us something his sleeping friends cannot."
And then proceeds to be stabbed through the arm, in great pain but still standing.

"We don't even need him. The other two are only unconscious. His life's more or less worthless unless he tells us something his sleeping friends cannot."
