Wagner steps on a loose arrow, which makes a muffled snap sound. The goblin stirs and Wagner gets ready for a fight, but then the goblin lets out a large snore instead. (Was DC 9). You are all together in the large room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sterling looks past Wagner at the door he exited from, narrowing his eyes at the snoring. Quietly turning to the others, he points to the eastern doors, then carefully approaches them to test if they are locked.
Oriace takes position next to Sterling, clapping him on the back, and hushes, “I’m right behind you.”(Stealth: 24, I rolled Religion by accident - somehow that happens a lot to me on the mobile)

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
It is not locked. (in the interest of time, none of the doors in this area are locked. But you can still RP checking them, just don't have to wait for a response) While moving through the room, you see the north and west corridors also have doors, set 5ft back from the room.

(( Sorry, I misread and thought you had had us walking through the double-doors to find a 5 ft. room. Let's just go through the double doors and see what's in there first, I'll retcon my action. ))
Time for things to get interesting (and unfortunately, I won't be able to get a map update until Monday.)
Threadbare curtains hang on the east wall (opposite you) of a long hall (40ft long), along which a muscular half-orc in dingy robes stands with his foot on the chest of a male human with wavy red-blond hair. (15ft directly in front of you) Fire burns around the orc’s clenched fist, and his victim cries and squirms helplessly beneath him.
Seated on a raised platform to the south (a further 10ft than the 40ft) is a nightmarish figure wearing black robes. It has large white eyes and rubbery purple skin, with four tentacles encircling its inhuman mouth. It cradles and gently caresses what looks like a disembodied brain with feet. Upon seeing you, it puts the brain down, gets up, and starts to glide along the floor. in your direction but not seeming to care about you. But you then hear the orc say. "Of course." and look right at you, ready to fight.
Sterling gasped at the scene. Part of him felt silly for freezing (especially as his teammate flew into action,) but he couldn't help it; he'd NOT been expecting any of this. And with the party being magically exhausted....
The bard just shook his head, as if to force the doubts from his mind as he decided what to do.
"We'll assist you, Wagner!" he shouted as both he and his familiar (following his mental instructions) rushed forward.
FREE: Command Jasper to Help Wagner (which he'll do every turn unless instructed otherwise) BONUS: Give Bardic Inspiration to Wagner MOVE: Run up beside Wagner onto the other side of the half-orc ACTION:Attack the half-orc * Rapier Thrust - Attack: 18, Mundane Piercing Damage: 11 (plus 1 extra on a crit)
Oriace runs after Sterling as quick as his short legs would carry him. He looks up at the orc and raises his eyebrows, when mocking him, "Your fists burn, but it’s your fashion sense that truly scorches the eyes. Did you raid the laundry for that robe?" His eyes drift then to the other figure with the odd pet and he gets a sinking feeling in his stomach.

As Wagner runs up, the rapier looks like it will strike right in the heart, the half-orc goes to throw up a magical shield, but gets distracted by a lizard doing a little dance. The blow looks fatal but as the rapier comes out, the orc grunts and enters a mini rage, somehow still standing (relentless endurance). The second rapier misses, but then the words from Oriace are enough to confuse him that his concentration goes, the wound catches up and he drops down dead. (he is surprisingly very weak. But if he got his turn, burning hands would have been a disaster for the party) Renaer also runs up and starts tending to Floon, making sure he is alright.
The nightmarish figure (Mind flayer for those who want a visual picture) leaves the room by the door you entered from, closing the doors behind it. The brain creature scurries over and attacks Oriace with its claws (20to hit, 7damage) before looking at Wagner. You feel it trying to do something with your brain, but you are able to resist. (save rolled on sheet).
“That’s Floon, right here?!” Gasps Oriace and yelps when the vicious brain creature uses his distraction to claws at him good. Oriace brings his rapier between him and the creature but only really wants to keep it at bay.

Sterling grimaced. He didn't like the thought of that... thing getting away, but then--would he even be able to do anything to it? Using his frustration to fuel his attack, he instead turned to the walking brain trying to harm his companion, and attempted to skewer it with his blade.
ACTION: Attack the brain * Rapier Thrust - Attack: 12, Mundane Piercing Damage: 9 (plus 8 extra on crit)
You both hit, and it is still alive. Seeing you both attack, Renaer also attack three times. All his attacks hit, though I rolled a 1 on damage for all 3. Still 15 damage, which on top of the 12 damage you both did, is enough to kill it (technically was dead after the second hit, which is good as that thing is deadly. A failed save from Wagner would probably have been fatal, not sure if any of you know intellect devourers but feel free to look them up).
"Is there another way out of here? Tentacle face left the way we came in and the fact that he basically ignored the group of armed men in his house is freaking me out!"

"I'm rather glad that that guy left, it was him who freaked me out! And his nightmarish pet... What is this anyway?" cries Oriace. "Renaer, how is Floon? Is this Floon? I dare not ask if it was his brain that had sprouted legs and clawed at me."
