“I’m willing to contribute all of my funds and remain here, should our combined assets not be enough. Clearly, I am the least suited for ‘high society’. And although Sterling here has cleaned me up immensely with his Mending and Prestidigitation, and Oriace has a potentially clever work-around, I am fine being the lowest on the totem pole.”
Mana’s facial expressions cannot hide the disappointment at the thought of being left behind. But he tries anyway.
Sterling smiled and patted Mana on the back (apparently in a very good mood!) "Don't worry. There are four of you, and my spare outfit already covers someone. We should be able to pool together enough for at least two more, possibly everyone else. This'll work. We'll make it work."
Turning to the others, he continued, "I suppose we should get to it then? A single nice outfit is about 15 dragons. I can spare 8, myself, and Mana, you have ten... so far, that's 18 dragons, more than enough for one suit. How much more can we throw in?"
Oriace listens to his companions, noting their varying levels of enthusiasm and concern about attending the opera. He smiles at Mana's apprehension and Sterling's excitement. "Mana, once we get through the door and into the private box, we should be able to sit comfortably in our own chairs," he says, trying to reassure his newfound friend. "The tall man trick is just to get us in. Once we're in, we can enjoy the show like everyone else."
Turning to the group, Oriace takes a deep breath. "Alright, everyone, let's pool our resources. I know this isn't ideal, but this opportunity could be key to getting more jobs and earning real money."
He grinds his teeth figuratively and adds, "I'll contribute 30 dragons from my own funds. We also have 14 dragons of common gold. If we mix magic and disguises, I think we can make this work. Sterling, your spare outfit can cover someone, and with the combined funds, we should be able to get at least two more outfits. Between magic and ingenuity, we can handle the rest."
He looks at his companions, gauging their reactions. "Let's make this happen. We can't miss this opportunity. Sterling, if you could start working on the spare outfit, and the rest of us will head to the market to get what we need. We'll meet back here in a couple of hours to prepare."
Oriace waits for any last comments or suggestions from the group, ready to take action and ensure they don't miss this potentially game-changing event.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Sterling nodded, trying to use a stoic face to hide his sheer glee. "Here," he said tersely, quickly pulling 8 dragons out of his coin purse and handing them to Oriace. "The spare suit will be ready in no time."
Still stone-faced, he turned and dashed up the stairs to his room.
(( I'll presume that whoever wanted to wear the spare can say so before Sterling runs off, and he'll fit it for them. It'll just be minor alterations and sprucing up using his weaver's tools; here's the roll for that, if needed (without proficiency bonus for now) - DEX Check: 9 ))
Toser followed the others around as they searched the house for signs of what he believes is haunting the manor. As the discussion turns to the excitement of the upcoming trip to the opera he offers his own dragons as well.
"I have 11 dragons to add to the pool. I also have a disguise kit that has some stuff we could use to look a bit better. Additionally I can use the weave to alter my appearance and at least look like I have fancy clothes. Unless they look closely it should suffice."
Wagner makes sense to take the spare fine clothes as he is medium. His 8 gp is up for obtaining other supplies. He is trying hard to talk the shorties in a trenchcoat into buying two outfits without being dismissive. (Persuasion 10 but that doesn't really mean anything.)

At some point before we leave for the Opera, Mana will ritually Speak with Animals to Yersinia to give her the run of the house and to keep her ears, eyes, and nose open for disturbances. And to find if there are any other rodents or spiders or other tiny denizens in the many rooms, so that Mana can talk to them later.
(Mana would like to ask the longer term residents about their perceptions of when and where odd things occur seemingly with no cause and then to plead for them to move on rather than being, ahem, exterminated.)
I am still not totally sure on the plan myself. Who is providing what gold, and how many outfits are being purchased. If you are doing a two people in a trench coat, I need a performance check from both of you (would be disadvantage, but I am also assuming that everyone tries to help so it cancels out). And because I am generous, I will say I am surprised no one has suggested using your charms to try get a discount on clothes.
(( There are 3 people who still need fine clothes: Mana, Oriace and Toser. That's a total cost of 45gp. Of the contributed funds so far explicitly given, we have:
That's a total of 67gp, which is more than enough. If Oriace only contributes 8gp instead of his generous 30, that's *exactly* 45gp. So the guys could straight-up just get the clothes just from all our contributions, without even dipping into the group fund. And if y'all want to haggle to save some money, either be sure to give Sterling a cut of the savings, or just don't tell him. Actually.... he's excited enough about the event and prospective clients that he really wouldn't care, lol. ))

Works for me, lets go shopping. I think each person should have their own clothes.
Oriace also has three costumes. Might be one of them could be refit to resemble fine clothes. Costumes can be anything really and I hadn’t specified what exactly they are and now I feel reluctant to use them in hindsight, but they are there. Also with Toser’s disguise self spell, we only need to buy clothes for Mana and Oriace, right?

Also, @DM: how long do we have until the opera, and do we know how long it will last? Unless he has a Hat of Disguise, spell slots might be a factor for Toser. ))

[[ With Wagner and Sterling accounted for and Mana, Oriace and Toser needing outfit, Oriace suggests he pays his own clothes and then everyone willing can chip in for what is required for Mana's, Toser's and the material needed to redress the spare one for Wagner/Sterling. Assuming a fifth(?) of the value is needed for the spare one, we need 15 (Oriace) and 33 (Mana, Toser and spare). Can we do a simple Charisma check (perhaps with advantage) to see if we get a discount? Then we'll know exactly how much everyone needs to spend. (Oriace would roll with +5 for the check, with +4 from Cha and +1 from Jack of all trades) Please, advise how we should go forward with this. ]]

I would say no monetary value needed to redress the spare. Minor alterations would be sufficient. A charisma check with advantage (DC15) to knock 20% off the total price.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Oriace tries to haggle down the price of the three suits (Charisma: 18, if with advantage 24 due to help).
