They admire holy relics. Sparhawk's shield js beyond old, in fact. It literally is an ancient religious relic. Its probably worth more than all of the slaves combined to the kuo-toa. After all, they can always get more.
Get definitely have shields. Most kuo-toa carry one. They're fairly standard except they smear them with some sticky substance on the outside.
They don't wear boots or gloves but it's possible there would be some lying around. They would be incredibly cheap and of poor quality. Unless they were magical, in which case they are by definition of high quality and extremely durable. Kuo-toa don't write extensively, keeping primitive trade records, but may have amassed some volumes from captured foes, and there nay be useful scrolls and prayers available, written in their own characterisric pictographic style. Those would probably be mostly at the temples to either Blibdoolpoolp or Lemagoogoo.
Kuo-toa adorn themselves with jewelry and other adornments so rings and periapts could be seen on some. Though the rings appear to be worn on the chin whiskers (barbels) rather than on their fingers.
As younhavent asked for any specific item, but did give some categories, we csn populate a random table. If you've performed detect magic, you'll know what's magical at a glance, but whether it js or not we'll leave to chance and see what we get, then we can work out the details.
As you navigate through the bustling and eerie market of a kuo-toa city, your Detect Magic spell illuminates various items with a faint glow, revealing their magical properties. Here's what you find:
### Rings
- **Ring of Water Breathing**: A simple ring adorned with a small aquamarine gemstone. Its faint blue glow indicates its ability to grant the wearer the power to breathe underwater.
- **Ring of Darkvision**: A dark, iron band that allows the wearer to see in complete darkness up to 60 feet.
### Periapts
- **Periapt of Health**: A pendant shaped like a small, silver fish, glowing with a faint white light. It protects the wearer from diseases.
- **Periapt of Proof against Poison**: A green pendant that provides immunity to poison when worn.
### Books
- **Spellbook of Aquatic Magics**: A worn, leather-bound book containing spells related to water and aquatic creatures. It glows faintly, indicating the presence of magical knowledge.
- **Journal of a Lost Explorer**: An old journal with notes and sketches about the Underdark and its dangers. The magical glow suggests it might contain hidden enchantments or secrets.
### Boots
- **Boots of Elvenkind**: Soft, green boots that allow the wearer to move silently and leave no tracks. They emit a soft glow.
- **Boots of Water Walking**: Simple, leather boots that allow the wearer to walk on the surface of water. They shine with a faint blue light.
### Gloves
- **Gloves of Swimming and Climbing**: Brown leather gloves that enhance the wearer's ability to swim and climb. They are faintly glowing.
- **Gloves of Missile Snaring**: These dark, fingerless gloves can catch and deflect projectiles. They have a subtle, magical aura.
### Shields
- **Shield of Absorption**: A round, metal shield that can absorb magic spells and protect the wielder. It glows with a steady, white light.
- **Shield of the Deep**: A shield adorned with carvings of sea creatures, granting the wielder resistance to cold damage and the ability to breathe underwater. It emits a soft, blue glow.
These items, hidden among the mundane goods, could prove invaluable on your adventures. What catches your eye?
Things they value like shields and jewelry and especially religious items like periapts will be double the cost and things they don't care for boots gloves and mundane books are half. Spellbooks are even, but I'll have to figure that one on its own if yiure interested.
This is where I've historical pulled prices if you want to check yourself. If its not listed, I look for somwthing with similar properties and go from there.
A standard spellbook for a wizard is worth 50 gp. I assume that the filled in one with spells would be slightly more expensive. I think that Baron would be willing to pay a lot for the book - but his character sheet says he has 10gp.

Without an adjustment of funds I'm not going to bother figuring out the price of the spell book, then. The 50gp is for a replacement in the unlikely event a wizard's book is lost or destroyed. Or for more spells. I think they're 100 pages / spells standard. It is possible for a wizard to learn more than a century of spells.
Spearhawk.. " here is the boat and its command words... likely our paths will never cross again, best of luck with freeing these slaves and playing kingmaker in a evilly aligned village....:
Kos would be interested in a Periapt of Proof against Poison.
"How much for this?" he asks while holding it up (or pointing it out if not allowed to touch the items).

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"Diabrix, I thank you for joining us for a brief moment, and for your friendship." the Paladin says sadly.
Sparhawk watches as Diabrix departs. He has lost many of his companions, and there is a sadness in his eyes. A soldier, commander, a once fallen paladin, his life has been filled with loss and betrayal. He composes himself, "Right, let's go meet the guy that is expecting us and see what they have to say. In theory, I'd like to head back up the waterfall and continue our journey. The only real question I have is if these people have information about the caverns that they can share with us. That, and I would like to free as many of these people as I can."
He has mithral half plate that has been scored by special damage that gives the normal AC 15 a permanent -2 penalty so it's actually AC 13.
"Maybe we could spend at least one day here helping? It would also give us a chance to rest and prepare new spells. Brew more concoctions."

Returning to Ploopploopeen's quarters near the Shrine of the Deep Mother, you notice the guards watching the worshippers with unease. One of the fairhful laus at the feet kf the statue an old rusted pot wirh a hole in it. Another leans over rhe pot and regurgitates a partially digested mass .
Wirhin the home, Glooglugogg loudly tells his father in Undercommon that he sees no need for outsiders to be involved in sacred matters. The archpriest dismisses his son’s concerns with a negligent wave, telling Glooglugogg that he must flow with the currents of the goddess’s visions. The whip relents but throws the you a hostile glare.
"Welcome," the priest says warmly, "The Sea Mother's will be done. You have arrived as she has foretold. Have you seen what Bloppblippodd has done to the city? A people divided, tensions rising like a tide. Sloobludop js a dam ready to burst."
Sparhawk says to Koselig prior to them entering and very quietly, “we shall see my friend. I have a feeling we could end up like those people we saw who were captured.”
"If there's a chance we can rescue those prisoners I would like to try."
Kos adjusts his pack which in turn causes him to think ahead to a possible night's rest and he can't help but want it even more now.

"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Ploopploopeen casts tongues once more so everyone can understand, and continues.
"As you know," the priest says, "Bloppblippodd is looking for worthy sacrifices and with your public appearances there js no chance word of your presence will reach her soon. This is the last place she wants you to be, so it's the first place she will look. That is why I had to intercept you before you reached the city. Please, take this for your protection. "We appreciate your help. We are exploring the caverns above the waterfall. Can you tell us anything about them, or do you have maps that can aid us?" Captain Sparhawk seems to have regained his composure, yet, he still thinks of those who are imprisoned. He will most likely barter for their release and safe passage to the entrance of the caverns, and if trading them his shield is all that it takes, he will gladly do so in exchange for an ordinary shield.

Baron would definitely go for the Spellbook of Aquatic Magics if he knew about it.

The water spells book is 1900gp
Ouch.
too bad I don’t have the keen mind feat coupled with
the eyes of the rune keeper invocation
(good bye wish spell no one can read…)

800 gold, but if you have shiny things, gems and such, this would be a decent place to swap them.
