"Please, join us. Enjoy the fare. There's plenty for al to share. Tell us your tales of triumph and woe. Feast with us, if you please." say the nobles.
"A tale you say? And which do you prefer; a tale of triumph or one of woe? Perhaps you'd like one of both? For the man who succeeds, there is undoubtedly a trail of tears left in his wake. For as one man triumphs, many others stumble."
<he uses minor illusion to create an image of two men: one happy and one distraught but they are the same man>
"Such is the gift of the mortal man. We revel in our victories but we learn so much from our failures... If we survive them. As such even our woes become triumphs. In that way, I suppose they are the same."
<He dismisses the illusion>
"Perhaps if we know who our honored hosts are, we can provide a story you'll enjoy. May I ask, who are you?"
Kos looks at Sparhawk and around the group at everyone else before moving to take a seat.
"That is a generous offer, thank you."
Kos takes a napkin and snaps it open before tucking it in place and begins to serve himself some of the food.
"Do you mind if I ask how you all came to be here having such a feast? It seems an unlikely locale for such an event."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
All seems in order as Kos sits and seeves himself. The nobles nonchalantly partake of the sumptuous feast, politely encouraging the characters to sample the dishes.
"Any tale you wish to tell, is allright by me!" Says one of the women, "we get so few visitors, we'd love to hear it all."
At the first sip or bite Kos takes, something seems off.
A creature that consumes any of the food or drink must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 21 (6d6) poison damage and has the poisoned condition for 1 hour. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage only.
<i wont quibble over whether he took a bite or sip or not. It wasn't explicit. If you meant to take a sip or bite, rol a save, otherwise, just ignore it.>
Kos' CON: 24 (19 poison damage, or 9 for half damage... unless you want to roll?)
After taking his first bite Kos realizes he might not like this dish and politely spits it out into his napkin.
His hunger gets the better of him and he tries another dish.
Kos's CON: 8 (22 poison damage)
He politely spits this mouthful into the napkin also.
"I don't think I'm very hungry after all. This doesn't seem to agree with me." gesturing in a general manner toward the food he tried.
Kos will use his Restorative Reagents feature to cast Lesser Restoration without using a spell slot to end the Poison condition on himself.
(He does take both lots of poison damage though.)

Another, an impish younger noble, playful and disarming, elaborates: "We are the watchers, the keepers, the forgotten. We are the unanswered questions and the laughter you will forget by morning. But now *you* are here, and perhaps that changes everything. Or perhaps it changes nothing at all."
At length, a stoic elder in regal attire replies, indignantly "Who are *we*? What an audacious query. We are those whose names once echoed through grand halls, now lost to time's cruel erasure. And who, pray tell, are *you* to question our existence?"

3 Baron, and
1 Grudak.
