"We will get along well, my friend. Many such as I seek honor and glory in the name of "good." You will find that this is not the case with me. I see those who abuse power. Your story is one of reform and regret, as is my own, being stripped of my rank in my order and needing to change. You leaving the group would be a last resort at this time, unless it is just as a temporary plan to allow Tess the opportunity to rest long enough to gain her spell."
He looks at the fighter. "I see that you enjoy the glory of battle. I too enjoy the fight, when it is for a good reason. I have also learned to have mercy and that there are many ways to win a battle, or deal with a situation. The use of weapons is sometimes not the best solution."

"I believe if we follow this waterfall, we can make it to the caverns I wish to explore. They were once said to be inhabited by a person named Iggliv. Rumors are she was a demonologist. Not sure if she was a good person or not, but something is amiss there. My god Marduk gave me a dream that there is a rift at this location in the Yantil mountain range. It is causing strange creatures to show up in my world, and all sorts of very trouble things are occurring. I myself was suddenly on some strange island. I eventually discovered that I was in a different time. Kos found me frozen in a fey world. Somehow, all of these things seem connected, but we need to discover the source of the problem and try to resolve it, or I fear all of our homes will be overrun with demons. As to treasure, rumors are that there are many in this place for those of you seeking such things."
Havi f managed to escaoe the underdark by using the dwarven-construcred locks to travel up the waterfall, you find yourselves at the edge of the water, a cavern calls to you, you sense it is near the place you were when you went careening over the edge of the waterfall that swnt you down to the darklake.
This vaulted cavern displays a rainbow of colors on its walls and floor. Stalactites hang like colorful icicles, and the stalagmites feature bright streaks and swirls. Mineral deposits form frozen curtains, cascades, and other fantastical shapes in vibrant hues. The ceiling of this colorful cavern rises to a height of 50 feet. Careful examination of the floor reveals many cracked bone fragments among the stalagmites. Then, you korice it: a behir lurks on a rufous ledge near the entrance to the chamber, waiting for morsels worthy of his hunger.
"Welcome weary travelers," the serpentine creature says in common, "what brings you to my lair? In search of treasure, are we?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"Am I right in thinking that the bones littering the caverns are trophies? If so, I must say that I'm impressed despite myself. How long has it been since the chimera was evicted?"
"Trophies? treasures? Many has Lludd accumulated. You wouldn’t believe all the great stuff I’ve swallowed! Now just climb on in here, and you can keep whatever you find." The behir invites, opening his jaws wide, a faint blue spark arcs across the back of his mouth.
In reply to the question of when the chimera was ousted, Llud responds, "I've lost track of the years, but I am long of tooth, lest my appearance deceive, and many years has it been."
"A woman? Ah, perhaps you refer to the nobles who dine nearby. You're sure to find them tableside just over there," he gestures with one of his 12 appendages, seemingly chosen at random, pointing to the right, "follow that passage and you will surely find them dining as always."
"Large, many appendages, inviting though the remains of humanoids would suggest a darker intent, the illumination within it's throat is concerning, I suspect those he refers to as 'dining' were in fact dinner themselves though I cannot currently be certain."
I just had to share that the quote above, that first line, comes directly from the 2025 monster manual and is attributed to this specific creature, Lludd, D&D's most iconic Behir.
"Thank you Mr. Lludd, sorry to have bothered you."
And with that Kos begins to head down the passage he was directed to while keeping his eyes on the huge Behir.

"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The paladin smiles. “I also am long in the tooth, but certainly do not wish to battle one with your skill. My group has not much in gold, and you can see they are skinny. You seem wise, so I would ask you not attack us. In return I will promise to return with a treasure I find within more valuable than my sour half orc corpse.”
Following his directions, you continue through the tunnel until the natural cavern gives way to a luxurious parlor. Crystal chandeliers bathe the chamber in soft light, and the scent of orange blossoms perfumes the air. Plump cushions surround a low table heaped with ripe fruits, refreshing beverages, and succulent meats. Low sofas and comfortable chairs dot the walls of the lounge, and side tables between these sitting areas overflow with gemstones, jewelry, and other treasures.
Four impeccably dressed human aristocrats laugh and feast in the parlor. An unseen string quartet accompanies their revelry with soothing music.
This area is brightly lit, the diners friendly and boisterous. The nobles entreat you to join the repast, insisting you rest and regale them with tales of adventure.

“Greetings. This must be your home. May I say it is quite beautiful.”
<MarCailous would have cast find familiar at long rest then would have cast mage armor in the caverns>
"Yes, quite lovely, indeed."
<He then tries to think of what he may know about the creature>
"I had rather the same impression when i evicted the chimera I found dwelling here all those years ago," responds the behir.
"Am I right in thinking that the bones littering the caverns are trophies? If so, I must say that I'm impressed despite myself. How long has it been since the chimera was evicted?"
