Fargim, looking around how things aren't going too well, he will step up and pitch in for the clan, "Here's all I have - ten gold". And he hands it to Diana.
Hox hisses, "Hox say no already! Hox's gold is Hox's! Noise lady's plan so you pay for them." Hox goes off to Thane's side, a bit irritated people asked him for charity.
Volthero stares pointedly at Diana, finally shurgging and digging 5 gold out of a pouch in his clothes. He hands it to her "Be careful of making promises you can't keep."
"Well, I've no wish to be the miser of the group!" says Elrik. "Fargim, here you are." The dwarf hands over five pieces of gold to Fargim to even up what everyone has contributed.
The kobold leader gives his compatriots some final orders and accepts the offered gold. "That was impressive," Jarl says, "I would never have thought of that." Thane snorts and offers, "Just don't ever try that with a group of orcs and we'll be fine."
The kobolds stay a short distance away as you travel, but you converse enough to learn that their names are Moss, Vorn, Tuv, Snug, and Vukdi. Not much for conversation, they maintain their own campsite as you set up for the night, though Moss offers Hox a spot with them if he tires of the companionship of tiny giants.
After a few hours of traveling the next day, Thane and Fargim find a smaller group of tracks splitting away from the main group and leading into a canyon. Asking the party to remain, Thane stealthily follows the tracks, reappearing a short time later. He silently rejoins the party, returns to the point, and picks up the pace.
When Thane says nothing, Jarl asks, "Where did the tracks lead? Did you find anything?" Thane responds, "Nothing. The tracks lead right back to the main group of orcs."

Making sure he's out of earshot from Thane, Elrik says to the group, "If what Thane says is true, then we should very soon see where these smaller tracks rejoin those of the main group. Thane wasn't gone for very long."
As the group continues to follow the main set of tracks, Elrik watches for evidence that might prove, or disprove, his theory.
Hox doesn't find anything but orc tracks leading away, and Elrik finds that Thane spoke true. Eventually, the smaller group's tracks rejoin the main group.
As night falls, Thane and Fargim estimate that the main Longhunt force is a half-mile away. Stealth being the only option, Thane sends Jarl on some quick reconnaisance while the group sets up camp. Jarl returns excited, in a hurry. "Thane! Thane, I saw Lucia."
Thane motions for Jarl to join him by the fire, and sits down. He speaks softly, "What you saw was not Lucia."
"No, it was, I swear it!" Jarl explains, "She was wearing her blue dress, I would know it from a mile away. She wore that dress the day we were betrothed!"
Thane sighs, "What you saw was an orc wearing Lucia's dress, Jarl. There is no easy way to say this. I found Lucia back in the canyon earlier today. Wrapped her in my own pelt. Buried her with my own hands. I...thought it best to keep it from you."He looks away.
Jarl stares in stunned silence before responding. His voice cracks with the only words he can think to say, "Did they...?"
Thane stands up, furious. "What do you want me to do Jarl, paint you a portrait? Do not ever ask me! As long as you live, do not ever ask me more!" He turns away, glaring at nothing in particular.
Jarl suddenly draws his sword and runs to the horses, untethering them. Mounting his, he smacks a couple with the flat of his blade and shouts, scattering them. He rides off angrily, directly toward the orc encampment, chanting loudly.
"Damnit!"Thane shouts. "Hold fast! Surprise has been lost, they will know we are here now. Gather the horses, we need to move!"
OOC: How does each character react to this situation, in either first or third person?
"Surprise has not yet been lost but we must act swiftly if it is going to be of any use. DO we have anyway to signal the rest of the Reavers to join us? I do not underestimate our group however I will not underestimate these Orc's numbers. We will need stirke hard and fast and begone to join our comrades before these Orcs can give chase. Let us be off!"
Volthero waits only a moment for the answers to his questions before hurriedly prepping himself for battle and riding after Jarl.

"Ach, what a bloody mess this is!" barks Elrik. The dwarf does all he can to gather and settle the horses (Animal Handling: 17) as he hopes to secure a mount for everyone in the party, including himself.
Then, whether it be on horseback or on foot, Elrik follows Volthero as fast as he is able. "By Moradin's beard, may victory be ours regardless of the odds!"he mutters under his breath. Elrik then shouts,"I am with you, Volthero!"

Hox tries to calm down a horse (Animal Handling: 10) and follow Thane. "Hox say we should go around, let man try to claim revenge. We see if other girl is alive." Hox has no trouble deciding to abandon Jarl. Hox doesn't try to lead the other kobolds as Diana hired them.
The kobolds arm themselves quickly and wait for the party to gather the horses. By the time you are able to reach the horses and calm them, a sword song can be heard in the direction of the orc camp. As you rush off, a panicked shout erupts from Thane.
"No, halt! You are riding to your death! Jarl has claimed his, and we will not dishonor it! If Abby is still alive in that camp and you rush in there she is as good ad dead!"
Almost on cue, the sword song ends with a single human scream.
"That was a formal death chant he was shouting as he rode," Thane quickly explains, "He gave up, but at least he went out as an Uthgardt warrior. Please, do not waste your lives for him as well. They will be on guard now. We need to reach a safer distance, the Longhunts will send out scouting forces like the worgs we fought earlier soon."
"There is glory found in battle but none in pointless sacrifice. Did we pass a defensible campsite coming here? Finding anything other than Orcs in the dark will be a challenge." The furrowed brow that had formed at Thanes' words relaxes at the end of his statement.

Fargim is curious about this behavior by Thane (insight check: 10).
Nothing about Thane seems out of sorts to Fargim.

Hox checks the tracks, to see if there's any different footprints from that of the orcs.

Diana is just chilling with her flute while travelling.
She seems pleased as the plan to buy some kobold firepower for the company actually worked.
Hox doesn't find anything but orc tracks leading away, and Elrik finds that Thane spoke true. Eventually, the smaller group's tracks rejoin the main group.

OOC: Is the last shout by Thane instead of Jarl? I'm confused.
Fargim will start by throwing up. Then he will try to catch a horse and follow Jarl to avenge the girls.
OOC: Lol yes, sorry for that, it is Thane shouting. Fixed it above.

* Thinking: what's the rush? let jarl die and strike the orc camp next night, but whatever
Diana looked over kobolds and they seem lost in this quick turn of events.
- "Moss, Vorn, Tuv, Snug, and Vukdi! Why are you still here? Attack!"
She saddled the horse and rushed after her company.
