OOC: Sweet rolls!
Scar DEX Save: 15
Elrik's first cut blasts a dent into Scar's armor, and he recoils from the blow, barely getting his axe up in time to block the dwarf's second mighty swing. The force of the blow rings in both combatants' arms. From across the tent, Fargim's dagger explodes across Scar's chestplate, landing a short distance away. The blade has been warped, and the hilt damaged. Scar stutters backwards into Hox, whose dagger tears across his achilles tendon. Roaring in pain, he falls backwards onto the kobold, who gets his second dagger up just in time. Scar's head meets the blade, which buries into his thick skull. The vicious orog lies dead atop Hox, a look of surprise etched upon his face.
Thane lies Abby down carefully, gently closing her eyes. He walks stoically over to the dead orog and spits in its face. He kneels down, pulling out a sword, and begins to work on cutting off Scar's shocked visage.
OOC: Each character receives 90 XP for defeating Scar.
"Their head has been severed, let us go inform the corpse of its fate." Volthero smirks at their defeated foe. Once the group gathers anything of value and leave the tent, Volthero cast Create Bonfire on a cluttered corner of the tent causing it to be quickly consumed by flames.
The next few moments will not soon be forgotten. Thane digs under the armor at Scar's neck and rips off a necklace, the same necklace he had held in front of Thane's face when you posed as traders, and you now realize the same necklace that Marrona Andarson had wore. He grabs the skinned face of Scar and holds it high as you exit to the camp. Scar's tent burns behind you, and blood sprays all around as the Reavers put any remaining orcs they can find to the axe. The Longhunt spirit has been shattered, and the orcs now favor fleeing to fighting.
Though Abby was lost, Scar was defeated so swiftly and decisively, and the approach was so stealthy that only a single Reaver met his end in what will soon become known as the Longhunt Annihilation.
That night, you sit at the fire in camp with Thane and Roccar.
"We are returning to the Uthgardt tribes, but you are no longer bound to the Andarson homestead. I promised you the rest of Arugg's payments for your help, and though the journey was longer than you ever expected it to be, you stayed true to our cause. So much, in fact, that Fargim was willing to use his magic against me when my rage worked against that cause. You have earned more than originally promised,"Thane says gratefully. He nods to Roccar, who drops a bag filled with 1000 gold pieces to the ground.
OOC: 250 gold pieces has been added to each character's inventory. This is the epilogue of Blood Kin. How does each character close out our adventure?
Hox takes his share of gold and stares at the other's share for a while before turning to Snug, "No gem, but Hox shall help look for it. Hox will follow Snug back to their clan." Hox's mind races with thoughts of how to pilfer the gem for himself and dreams of amassing his own horde of treasures.
"It was an honor to fight on your behalf, Thane," responds Elrik, who then looks at Hox, Fargim, and Volthero. "And a privilege to fight alongside you."
Elrik has never seen so much gold, and he feels somewhat strange as he pockets his share of it. "Well, I pray for Moradin's favor to shine on the Andarsons, Thane. May your herds be abundant and your enemies few. In the morning, I'll take my leave and see where the road leads me."
Fargim goes wide-eyed, "You are kicking me out of the clan?! After all of this?! ****!"
Keeping things together he turns to the others, "Thank you for the fight together. If you need me for anything, please let me know. Otherwise I'll be traveling the world."
"Thane and Roccar, keep the money and use it to rebuild. I will go see the world and once I come back, you better have a safe and prosperous tribe."
Volthero accepts the payement and thanks with a polite bow. Upon traveling back to a city he bades his farewell and departs. "He has been an honor to fight among your clan. If you have need of me again put the word out and I shall find you."
Hox scampers to get behind Scar and go for his achilles tendon.
Dagger Sneak Attack: 25 Damage: 18

Fargims first thought is that the head must weigh way above 5 pounds and he may not be able to throw it as far as smaller objects.
He thinks for a moment and then thinks of Roccar and tries to send him a message of Scar being dead (range 120 ft).
After that he'll try to find a new dagger or any other throwable object so that he's prepared for whatever comes next.
"Death is too kind an end for this filth," mutters Elrik as he looks upon Scar.
After hearing Volthero's remark, the dwarf says, "Yes, let us see what sort of reception they throw us."
"Help Hox!" Hox yells from under the orog, as he struggles to free himself from the dead body.
"Sorry, lad," says Elrik as he helps Hox to his feet.
