Elrik continues his charge; his handaxe soars over the bandits before striking a tree behind them. Volthero sizzles eldritch energy from his hands as he runs, striking a bandit in the temple and felling him. Another sharp rock flies past, entering and exiting a bandit's side; he still stands, clutching at the new hole. The remains of the kobolds, as well as one of the bandits, are suddenly sheathed in light as Diana chants faerie fire and retreats. In the blink of an eye, Hox has arrived in the center of the action, the light from the faerie fire illuminating his approach. Thane hits all three of his next shots, dropping two bandits, and further wounding the bandit that Snug had stabbed.

Eldritch Blast Attack: 7
Elrik throws a wild swing above the wounded bandit, then cuts back, slicing tendons underneath the bandit's shoulder, though he still stands. Energy crackles over his head from Volthero's hands. As the bandit turns as if to flee, Hox leaps atop him, stabbing his dagger cleanly through his ear, landing safely as the bandit falls dead.
Fargim scans the surrounding but does not glimpse any further intruders.
Round 4 Order: Players <===== Diana is up Bandit Snug
Tracking: There is one bandit remaining, still undamaged. Elrik, Hox, Volthero and Snug are each 10 feet from the bandit. Diana is 70 feet from the bandit. Fargim is 90 feet from the bandit. Thane is 100 feet from the bandit.
As Diana chants, the last bandit falls to his knees, screaming in sudden pain. He keels backward, dead, as blood runs from his nose and ears. An eery silence follows as the camp falls quiet. Snug, the last of the kobold mercenaries, falls and clutches his wounded arm, rolling in pain.
OOC: Each character receives 15 XP for defeating the bandit ambush.
Fargim is really baffled. "Who the **** were those guys? I didn't see from this far, but were they the peddlers? And how did they know to find us here?"
Snug is in bad shape, but his wound is not difficult for Elrik to patch up; he will recover after some rest.
Fargim's prediction is correct, as Hox discovers that one of the bandit corpses is in fact Jerem, the peddler from earlier that day. "It seems they wanted the rest of our gold," Thane snickers, "We should clean up and get some rest now. If the peddler was being honest, the orcs are moving quickly. If he was not, it's going to take some work to find them."
Snug looks pitifully at the kobold corpses and then at Hox as he gathers them, as if asking permission to camp with the group.
Hox nods, "If find ruby, we give to you to take back to clan." He looks to the dead kobolds, "You eat, Snug? Hox do not, Hox's clan would bury them, but Hox no longer with them."
