Great attack! We’ll do Trix’s turn for them tomorrow if they haven’t shown up. Probably gonna attack the bear?
{Will delete if she shows up, best guess: Get behind the bear so she has advantage because Kesili is on the other side, attack with rapier and get sneak attack bonus)

{Will delete if she shows up, best guess: Get behind the bear so she has advantage because Kesili is on the other side, attack with rapier and get sneak attack bonus)
(Seeing her armor being relatively low, I'm not sure if she would fancy to get up close and personal with a brown bear. Maybe best would be to stand still, take aim (Steady Aim feature) and shot with advantage with short bow. Do we actually play with the Flanking rules?)
Trix takes careful aim and buries an arrow into the trunk of the tree-thing. 8 damage!
The bear focuses on Kesili, lunging at her with tooth and claw. But she deftly dodges and deflects the larger animal’s attacks! (Best roll to hit was 14 at disadvantage)
Then Cordimis follows it up with a massive burst of fire, dealing 13 damage to the tree-thing and igniting it on fire! Another beam of flame strikes the bear across the side of its chest for 8 damage, and the smell of charred fur and flesh fills the air.
[ I don’t have a problem with flanking, it’s fine. ]
Round 3
Cordimis - cast scorching ray (and concentrating on bless)
Hyacinth huffs. "Well, fine mess this has turned into! Stay strong, my comrades, we'll get through this one yet!"
With a few quick steps they run right up to the burning treant then make a quick swipe with their scimitar! "You leave me no choice - I'll cut you down!"
Attack: 11 to hit, 12 slashing plus 1 necrotic for hex, 3 slashing for favored foe, and 4 psychic for dreadful strikes, for a total of 20 damage - if it hits!
(I was about to write a miss but Hyacinth didn’t roll the bless, so I did and added 2 for the hit, which hits!)
Surely Hyacinth’s blade is going to be turned away by the tree’s tough bark, but no, a spark of magical power emanating from Cordimis guides the blade to bite deeply into the tree’s trunk. Then Hyacinth’s other magics blast into the more vulnerable inner wood and you all hear splinters and pops of bursting damaged wood. The lady-faced tree gives a still-feminine bellow of anger!
In retaliation, the moving tree brings a large branch crashing down on Hyacinth! (17 to hit) 13 damage to them!
But the tree is on fire and takes another 3 damage!
Round 3
Cordimis - cast scorching ray (and concentrating on bless)
Kesili easily dodged the bear's angry attacks. Its powerful attacks, Kesili notes and resolves to keep her guard up (dodge bonus action for 1 Ki). At an opportune Moment she tries to land a blow of her own with a well placed kick before drawing her Longsword with hopes to keep the bear at bay with a sharp edge (Agile Parry, AC 18).
Attack with unarmed strike @bear, hit 16 (incl. bless 3) for 5 bludgeoning damage
Agile Parry: If you make an unarmed strike as part of the Attack action on your turn and are holding a kensei weapon, you can use it to defend yourself if it is a melee weapon. You gain a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn, while the weapon is in your hand and you aren’t incapacitated.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(posting my next move early again to help pace of play)
Cordimis is going to go sicko mode and decide to run at the bear's backside to flank with Kesili. (This should take all 30 feet of movement and put Cordimis within 30 feet of both the bear and treant.) She will hold up her ring to the sky, braving a look into the sun for half a second. The blinding light will transfer from the sun to her eyes and in harnessing the rays her eyes begin to glow gold. She will yell out a line she has been cooking up for awhile but is untested, "By the light, feel His might!" She will punch the ground, and a shock wave of harnessed sunlight will emit from her in brilliant radiance.
Action: Channel Divinity— Radiance of the Dawn If the bear and treant fail the DC 14 Con save: 19 If they succeed, half damage of what was rolled
As an action, you present your holy symbol, and any magical darkness within 30 feet of you is dispelled. Additionally, each hostile creature within 30 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes radiant damage equal to 2d10 + your cleric level on a failed saving throw, and half as much damage on a successful one. A creature that has total cover from you is not affected.
Bonus Action: None Movement: 30 feet to stand behind the bear, flanking with Kesili
Trix uses her bow and takes careful aim again, this time at the tree, as it seems Kesili can handle the bear for the moment. 16 to hit with bless factored in, for 8 damage.
The bear redoubles its efforts to try and rend Kesili. Rising high on its haunches, it comes crashing down on her, jaws snapping and claws swiping. Best attack at disadvantage was 16, misses again.
Cordimis moves to flank the bear and channels her divinity:
Treat saved with a 14, takes 10 damage as the sunlit blast singes its bark. The bear failed its save and takes the full brunt of the blast. Both opponents are looking much worse for wear at this point!
Round 4
Cordimis - channeled divinity (and concentrating on bless)
"Second verse, same as the first!"Hyacinth shouts as they take another swing. "Surrender, if you've got any sense!"
Attack: 23 to hit, 9 slashing damage plus 4 necrotic from Hex, 3 slashing for favored foe, and 2 psychic from Dreadful Strikes. Nonlethal, if possible.
(I'm looking at a busy day, so I'll go ahead and post in a spoiler for after the treant's turn.)
Kesili barely managed to fight off the bears intense attacks. Good call on drawing the sword, she congratulated herself. Growing weary, though, she can't keep up the focus needed to constantly dodge and opts to go into the offence with two unarmed strikes. She continues to use her sword largely for defence and keeping the bear away (Agile Parry, AC 18).
Action: Attack with unarmed strike @bear, hit 28 (incl. bless 3) for 7 bludgeoning damage Bonus: Attack with unarmed strike @bear, hit 30! (crit, incl. bless 4) for 9 bludgeoning damage
Hyacinth chops into the treant with a formidable sounding “thwack” noise, and again her magics roil up and down the exposed wood, causing it to snap and crack loudly. The green lady groans and the tree shudders, suddenly quite unstable from the internal damage. It twists to get in another swing at the hag-killer but the trunk rips apart under its own weight and the tree topples sideways in two pieces. The green lady’s face has been rent in two, eyes and nose toppled over incorporated in the upper half of the tree, and frowning mouth in the lower part with the roots, which sags to rest in the ground. The eyes glare at you but begin to blink rapidly as though she were about to fall asleep.
(treant defeated, I have no idea how you could deal nonlethal damage in this case but will allow a brief conversation before the life essence fades completely)
Meanwhile Kesili quickly dispatches the bear with several expertly placed blows powerful enough to snap its spine. The bear collapses to the ground. (Defeated)
And just like that, a blanket of calm descends over the forest.
Cordimis will get down on one knee, head bowed, and offer a prayer of gratitude and praise to Lathander for seeing her through another challenge. The cleric of light will stand up and brush off her outfit.
She’ll begin walking towards Hyacinth. Once everyone regroups, Cordimis will ask, “Is everyone alright? Any wounds? I’ve never fought anything like that before!”
Kesili feels a surge of triumph as the bear collapses, the adrenaline of the battle still coursing through her veins. She’s aware of Cordimis’ significant assistance in weakening the creature, but the final blow was hers. Pride fills her heart as she watches the beast fall, its massive body crashing to the forest floor. Quickly, Kesili positions herself so that the dying bear’s body falls onto her, partially obscuring her actions from view. With practiced precision, she sinks her teeth into the bear’s neck, drawing life energy from the creature. The taste of the bear’s essence is powerful and invigorating, sending a wave of vitality through her. She drinks deeply, feeling her strength replenish.
Her eyes dart around, watching for any sign of her companions approaching. As she senses Cordimis beginning her prayer of gratitude to Lathander, Kesili uses the precious seconds to continue her hidden ritual. However, if anyone were to look closely, they might notice the bear’s fur turning grey and its flesh withering rapidly as its life force is siphoned away. The moment she hears footsteps approaching, Kesili stops and quickly rises, brushing off any signs of her secretive feeding. She steps away from the now lifeless, grey-furred bear, trying to appear nonchalant. “I’m fine, thanks to all of you. That was quite a challenge, but we did well together.”
She makes sure to avoid eye contact with the bear’s corpse, hoping that her companions will be too preoccupied with the aftermath of the battle to notice the subtle signs of her feeding.
With Cordimis' passive perception of 16, did she notice what Kesili was up to or how the bear's coloration has changed since it was felled?
I’m really not sure. It’s an effect I hadn’t planned for so I’m struggling to decide a DC. You described Cordimis kneeling to pray and then focusing on Hyacinth. But your pp is rather high. I’d say it’s up to you vs Cyreon, and I’ll allow Cyreon a chance to roll deception to defeat your passive perception, if they want to.
(I think it really is more RP and you can decide yourself if you feel that your character would notice something. I imagined that Kesili only goes for the bite if she can be sure that the act is hidden but you may have noticed that it is strange that she ended up underneath the bear, she is dexterous and should have been able to avoid the collapsing bear. She will, however, deny that she was involved in the discoloration. But if it helps, here’s a deception check: 12)
{Will delete if she shows up, best guess: Get behind the bear so she has advantage because Kesili is on the other side, attack with rapier and get sneak attack bonus)
