Eirikur performs a religious gesture with his hands and pulls out a piece of parchment with some text scribbled on it. A shimmering field appears around him to ward off attacks. He then prepares another spell with a gesture, holding it until the creature moves into range. With his other hand, he pulls his shield off his back and readies it before him and exits the train.

"Get back, everyone, unless you have some kind of combat ability." he calls out before stepping outside.

OOC: BA for Shield of Faith, giving me +2 to AC, and Action is to hold the Toll the Dead spell for it to come in range, which is Wis save 14 or 4 necrotic damage.

Feeling the tremors, Modoc will get up and use thaumaturgy to call down the hall. "Hey Eirikur.  Is everything okay up there? Can you feel those tremors?"

Hearing Modoc, Eirikur will quickly respond by shouting a single word. "DANGER!"

"Something's up." Modoc says to Gaelan and the others before rushing out back to the lounge car to catch up to Eirikur using his action to dash.

Hylizatha nods at what Eirikur says as she slowly cocks the hammer back fully on her revolver so that it is ready to fire. Holding back she will wait until the creature is within accurate firing distance then fire off two rounds at it.

Going to hold the attack action until the worm comes within 40 ft of the car then will attack twice.

Gaelan will move 20 feet towards the worm and lay out an array of caltrops before him.

Dagger in hand he yells at the worm, "Come on ya pig-face sidewinder!"

I forgot to list the distance on the TtD spell but it is 60ft, which appears to be well within range. Did the bone worm seem impacted by the measly 4 damage?

(The bone worm passed the wis save. So it took no damage) 

Eirikur watches a bone fragment impact the dirt several feet in front of him and grunts warily as the bone craters the ground, sending dirt raining down upon Eirikur's raised shield. He is heartened by the sight of Modoc and Gaelen and repeats his gesture, this time allowing the casting of Toll the Dead to complete.

OOC: Toll the Dead, Wis 14 or 6 necrotic damage.

Once his spell is away, Eirikur moves laterally across the map 30ft, waving his arms, stomping, and barking, making sure to draw attention to him as he moves away from the locomotive car, where Dr. Bailey is, and (eventually) the passenger car. "Ya-ya! Hey you! Come get me-ah!"

Modoc will exit the lounge car and see the bone worm.  He'll move 40' to engage the worm and rage.  When he rages, he grows to large size and swings his greataxe twice:

It then opens its cavernous maw and sucks in a massive quantity of air. 

Modoc and Gaelen please roll Strength Save DC 17 or be sucked into the worm. 

On fail take 14 acid damage.
