Yes, everyone can take a short rest. Father Anselam looks bemused as he is sat down in the Freight car
Dr. Bailey and his fellow scientists come back to the lounge car covered in covered sweat and ghost rock dust. "We got it to work more or less. I am tuckered out" he slumps into a chair breathing heavily. He then wipes his brow with a handkerchief. He then asks "Can anyone get me some water? Good lord it was hot"
The wind whistles through the broken windows and Dr. Bailey leaning towards to the window to cool off.
IC: Eirikur glowers at Anselam's smug expression. The most obscene images of violence flash before his mind, all involving Anselam becoming intimate with Eirikur's blade. He banishes the thoughts with some effort, full-well knowing that these are the thoughts of his conditioning. Walk the path, Eirikur. The better path.
He looks to Modoc and stands. "Would you like something to eat or drink? I need a drink."
Eirikur nods and leaves Modoc with a reminder. "Remember, any funny business, divide the priest. I'll be right back."
Eirikur steps back into the next car to quickly get something to eat and drink for the two of them. Particularly, Eirikur is looking for some sprites to recast False Life.
Eirikur eagerly reaches out for the flask. "Exactly what the doctor ordered." He says gratefully. Then he pours a bit out in his hand and traces a symbol out in the air, repeating the process until he maximizes the effect to his satisfaction. He sighs in relief, then hands the flask back to Gaelan. "Quite the tussle indeed." he says quietly, then places a hand on a well-clothed section of Gaelan's shoulder. "Are you okay? That was a close shave for you."
Eirikur squeezes Gaelan's shoulder reassuringly and moves on to grab plenty of eats for himself and Modoc, preparing for a long evening/night in an uncomfortable freight car.
Modoc will keep resting but frequently glance at the bound priest with a worried expression. His stomach rumbles at the thought of Eirikur returning with some good food.
Hyalithza will get Bailey the water he asked for and will stay with him. She will continue to do her best to shoo off anyone that tries to talk to the Doctor as his mouth seems to get him into trouble.
Intimidation to scare off anyone that isn't a memeber of the group that gets to close to Dr. Bailey: 1
Hyalithza intimidation failed to produce the wanted results as many of the other passengers and scientists started chatting loudly over what just happened with some demanding that they should be paid for emotional stresses. The train conductor stomps into the lounge car blowing his whistle loudly enough to shut everyone up. The conductor is a man who seems to be in his late 30's or early 40's. He left eye seems off and opaquer. Most likely an ill-fitting glass eye. "All of you quit your caterwauling as none of you are dead and you won't see a dime from Hellstrome Industries for your emotional nonsense. Now some of my crew will be replacing the windows so I need everyone to clear out of the Lounge Car this very minute and I dare anyone to say another word. I am not above kicking any of you off of the train right here and now!"
Patton Riddle straightens his suit and opens his mouth ready to say something but the no nonsense stare from the conductor causes him to shut his mouth which is an impressive feat knowing Mr. Riddle's reputation.
Dr. Bailey composes himself and walks out of the Lounge car to the Dining Car. Everyone slowly but surely also complies though many of the scientists have a sour expression on as if they are not accustomed to being treated in such a fashion.
Night is upon you, and you hear the steady sounds of the train and the pattering sound of rain as it seems this night there is a rainstorm coming in. Lanterns are lit and the atmosphere is more morose as people rather just sit quietly drinking or having quieter conversations.
"Why don't you go Eirkur. You've got more patience and insight than me." Modoc says, "unless Dr. Bailey wants this guy to join our conversation as well."
Eirikur nods. "I've hung you on the good doctor quite a bit, an unfair amount even, because I fear I lack the patience for him. He ruffles my feathers for reasons I can't quite place yet. I will take this one though. You enjoy the meal and watch the Father." He says, nodding to Anselam. "He was ready to die when Hyalithza was starting to squeeze the trigger to her coffin-filler, so don't think you'll be able to convince him to stand down if he gets ideas in his head."
He glances down at Anselam, who he had begrudgingly brought bread and water for. His frown deepens and he steps out into the rain falling between cars. He looks like he wants to say more, but thinks better of it and closes the door behind him, making his way up to Doctor Bailey.
Having had her fill of the scientists for the time being, Hylizatha will take her meal and switch out with Eirikur so he can have his turn with Dr. Bailey. "If they start to give ya trouble get the conductor. He seems to have put the fear of the gods into them."

Gaelan sees his boss heading his way and holds out his flask of booze.
"Hey boss, that was quite a tussle, need a tip?"

"I now know how the flies feel." he chuckles " I'd consider it good fortune if we never have to do that again."
Gaelan has ties some rags to his worst cuts and just being able to sit a spell has done him wonders.

Erikur brings back heaps of food for Modoc. For Dinner there is chicken fricassee, baked beans, and brown bread.
After Dinner Dr. Bailey asks for everyone to gather in the Dining Car to speak with him about a concerning issue.
Who goes to meets Dr. Bailey and who stays behind in the Freight Car?
