As Asgrim looks around, he doesn't notice any threats, except for that beneath his feet. The hall room had deep holes on either side of the walkway, making it almost seem like a bridge. When Asgrim looked up to detect any threats, his foot slipped and fell off of the walkway. Atbyhe last minute, he was able to grab onto the ledge of the bridge like walkway.
Gothazar runs straight to Asgrim, pulling him up with a problem. After you all collect yourselves, you take a minute to look around. The walls have pictures of people one them. You make them out to be elven, by their pointed ears and long hair. You see several of the same figures, over and over again. On the walls, you also see several torches, not lit. At the end of the walkway, you see a massive statue. The walkway only sits at the chest, the rest going down into the earth. The statue us of an elven woman, with her palms at the end of the walkway.
As you approach the statue, you see writing on it. It reads in Elvish. "Without amin manke lle be? ten' lle il-sinta, lle il-elea. Amin sana de n'uma space, nan' can quanta y' room. Y' becon en' estela, e' i' blindien night." Eidren and Leif read it aloud. "Without me where you be? For you would not know, you would not see. I take up no space, but fill the world at day. A becon of hope, in the blinding night." Before you lies a slate and a piece of chalk.
Asgrim looks at the others and shrugs. "Yup, I've got no business trying to figure this out," he says with a sheepish grin, "I can hack away at anything just fine, but using my mind is... well I can help, but don't expect any feats of genius out of me, if you catch my drift."

Asgrim moves the torch in his face with the back of his hand. "You don't need to rub it in my face, Gothazar," he says and walks past him, ducking under his arm and approaches the platform, trying to see if there's anything on there that might spring out and harm them in any sort of way.
Leif pulls the lever. The platform starts to rise. Your eyes strain, as a hole in the ceiling starts to appear, and the daylight floods into the room. The platform raises you into the hole. As you enter the new room, the walls and surroundings change from stone, to wood. You are in a small circular room, with a ladder the goes up bout 50 ft.
Asgrim watches as the structure Leif is on ascends, his axes out in case anything goes wrong. "Do you see anything up there?" He calls out when the ascending structure halts.
Eidren is too busy lost in the artistry of the reliefs and sculptures of the ancient elf hall. He comes to at the soul nd of the rising platform.
‘I should be on that platform to scout,’ he thinks to himself. ‘I must keep my wits about me. I was meant to find this place. I must not let memory and wonder cloud my mind.’
Eidren keep his hand crossbow at the ready in case any danger should present itself.

"Thank you, friend," Asgrim says as he dusts himself off and takes a moment to look around, trying to ignore his pounding heart. "What is this place?"

"I'll give you a hint" Gothazar waves his torch in Asgrim's face.
"Let's be careful and watch the surroundings, we still don't know what manner of place is this."
Leif grabs the chalk using his mage hand and writes the word 'Light' in Elvish at the blank slate.
The palms of the statues open, making a platform big enough for you all to stand on.
Asgrim moves the torch in his face with the back of his hand. "You don't need to rub it in my face, Gothazar," he says and walks past him, ducking under his arm and approaches the platform, trying to see if there's anything on there that might spring out and harm them in any sort of way.

You don't see any danger, but you do see a small lever.
"There's a lever over here," Asgrim says pointing it out to the rest of the group, "you think it leads up to the top of the tree or some such thing?"

"most assuredly! but I will watch from over here as you pull it."
Leif grabs his rope and securely ties it around his waist. He then proceeds on top of the platform and chucks the other end of it towards the goliath.
"Grab tightly on the rope Gothazar. If you deem something dangerous is going to happen, pull me out."
Leif then sends the spectral, floating hand at the small lever. He then looks back at the goliath.
"At your signal, I'll pull it."
Gothazar positions himself on the rope and motions Asgrim to hold onto his belt as backup then nods at Leif

Gothazar lets out the rope giving plenty of slack for the full ascent
