Asgrim gets on the platform as he puts the axes through the loops at his belt. "I was wondering what you were talking about," he says to Leif regarding the lever. "Did you see how far the ladder went up?"

"I haven't climbed up to the ladder to see the end of it but it is quite long towards the top. If there was something concerning I saw in the room above, I would say there was daylight illuminating it."
Leif unties the rope from his waist and returns them to the side of his backpack. He then readies his spectral hands to pull the lever once the rest decides to embark.

As the platform comes to a halt, Asgrim looks around and loops his axes then walks up to the ladder, puts a hand on it and looks up, trying to see how far it can go and if there's anything there that they should worry about.
Eidren as climbs the latter, he sees nothing of a threat, when he gets to the top, he enters a small room. He can only see a window carved out of the wooden wall, and a pedestal in the center of the room. The view out of the window is fantastic. You can see the village, the tops of all the trees in the forest, the ocean, and even the mountains far in the horizon. On the pedestal, a crystal with a golden chain sits. There is also a note, it reads in elvish, "Ten' Melamin, ar' those ya tul a ale' ho." [For my love, and those who come after him.]
Apparently unable to see anything because of dust mote that entered his eye, Asgrim let out a string of curses as he wipes eye frantically then starts climbing the ladder after Eidren, going towards the window and looking out for a moment before walking towards the pedestal.

The last one to climb the ladder, Leif then proceeds to open the window and leans half of his body to look outside and check the upper and lower section of the whole place they entered.
Leif notices that they are in the tree itself now. The first room you were in was in a cavern beneath the tree itself, and the ladder was in the tree's trunk.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eidren is entranced by the artifact before him. He feels his whole life has been leading to this moment. He steadies his shaking hands and reaches out to grab the crystal.
He pauses. His eyes become more alert. ‘Snap out of it!’ He thinks. He mustn’t lose his wits and succumb to this trinket. It’s been entirely too easy to get here. In his experience, nothing worth stealing is this simple
He starts in on his normal routine, looking around at the pedestal for hidden levers, switches, traps, compartments, pressure plates, etc. He also examines the crystal and chain for any magical properties.
Eidren feels a comforting familiarity with the crystal, and thought of your grandmother, your mother's mother, rush into your head. You haven't heard much about her, let alone meet her but you here a voice, destinctivly hers, in your head. You are family. Find my other half, find him. Unite us, and we will be with you."
Knowing they have what they came for, Leif climbs down the ladder and into the platform, ready to pull the lever using his mage hand as soon as the rest are ready to go back to the village.

Leif ducks to the ground and shouts back.
"There is a small circular room and a ladder leading up. Try pulling the lever again to the other direction, it might put this platform down to the ground so that the rest of you can come here."
The lever is on the platform that lifted Leif up
Seconds later after making his grand statement, Leif felt embarrased as he saw the lever was on his side of the platform.
He then pulls it to the other direction to place the platform back to the ground for the rest to walk into and move up the small circular room.
Asgrim gets on the platform as he puts the axes through the loops at his belt. "I was wondering what you were talking about," he says to Leif regarding the lever. "Did you see how far the ladder went up?"

The platform starts to rise again. It stutters and shakes this time under the weight of the party. It rises you unto the small, and now cramped, room.
As the platform comes to a halt, Asgrim looks around and loops his axes then walks up to the ladder, puts a hand on it and looks up, trying to see how far it can go and if there's anything there that they should worry about.

(treating rolls as 18 and 15, before they changed) You don't see levers, switches or traps, but you do feel a magical aura. It beacons for "family".
Leif goes back inside telling what he found.
"I can safely say we're inside a tree trunk and the statue below us may have been what the elder told us yesterday called Freya's Palms.
Now we just need to make sure we have the Elven Tear and we're ready to go."
“Family” Eidren mutters audibly.
He is entranced by the crystal. He picks it up and grasps it in his hands examining its color and clarity.
Eidren fastens the chain around his neck and tucks the crystal into his shirt.
“We got what we came for. Lets head out.”
Knowing they have what they came for, Leif climbs down the ladder and into the platform, ready to pull the lever using his mage hand as soon as the rest are ready to go back to the village.
