Don't click the spoiler...
Haha! I got you to click here! I'm an Evoker who loves D&D, roleplaying, and Magic. My characters might "accidentally" kill yours. Consider this an advance warning. If a vex randomly spawns in and starts attacking you, it's probably me. Also, the Minecraft devs really need to add Illusioners to bedrock.
Great, now that you have clicked the spoiler, you know all about me! See you in the PbP thread. :)
The wind swoops through the trees as you all bicker. Perhaps the gods find this debate amusing.
But it does not last for long. A dagger thuds into a tree next to Thorne's head, splitting the bark with the force of the throw. On it, the strange symbol that has begun to haunt your dreams - that of Yalex's cult. On it, a small paper, which spells something in a language that you can't understand. Looking wildly around, you see no one.

"Ooh, a dagger. I bet I can do that too." I pick up the dagger, remove the piece of paper, and throw it in the direction it came from.
(OOC: Using reckless attack. I rolled a 25 first and a 10 second, so if you want me to roll with disadvantage it cancels out with reckless attack advantage and I still end up getting a 25.)
DC: 25 (18 + 7)
Damage (IDK if this is necessary but just in case): 7 (2 + 5)
"Who would attach a piece of paper to a dagger? What an idiot."

Titanus, grabbing the dagger out of the tree, hurls it with immense strength - directly in the direction from which it appeared. You hear it whistling as, with another loud thud, implants itself in a tree not fifty feet away from you. There's no one there

Thorne facepalms and picks up the paper. "The one that was attached to the dagger, which by the way, makes it much harder to throw a dagger while keeping the letter attached. These cultists are no joke." He then reads the letter out loud for the others to hear...

(OOC - oh I thought the outside of the letter had some unknown symbols or something. What’s the point of sending a letter no one can read lol.)
”Stupid ass cultists… leaving unreadable notes and warnings. See this is why you don’t want to join a cult, they are all crazy.”
Pulling out the cultist dagger we already had, Thorne casts Zephyr Strike and whips it at the same spot Titanus threw his.
19 to hit: 14 dmg (7 + 7 force)
The same thing happens: the dagger implants in the same tree as Titanus'. No one stands there.
As you stand there, looking, a figure rises up from behind a bush - all of you can clearly see it. Looking around, it seems not to see you, then approaches, looking a different way. Upon further observation, you realize that it is one of the hobgoblins you were chasing - partly wounded, but still alive. It somehow hasn't noticed you all yet, walking directly towards you through the brush while looking uphill as if for reinforcements. The sun begins to crest the horizon, and light illuminates the clearing.
(Just a note that Thorne will retrieve the 2 daggers before we leave here and also pockets the note)
(OOC: Alright)
The hobgoblin, who somehow hadn't noticed you, stops right in front of Titanus and turns around. His mouth opens in utter shock as he stumbles backwards. "Whoa! I didn't see you there, friend!"
The scene suddenly turns into a flurry of blows as Titanus beams him on the head. "Ow! Ow! Please, please stop! Why are you hitting me?" Hearing Thorne's sigh, he also shouts out "Yes! I'm not a cultist! I don't even know what a cult is! Please, let me go!"

"We shouldn't kill him, he called you friend." Karrius says, "maybe he can tell us about the cult and the mysterious note."
