“gentlemen… gentlemen… and skeletons… I’m sure there is a better way to deal with this than an AMBUSH… bad form bad form indeed” Valiant isn’t too worried about bandits, except perhaps instinctually for pushover’s safety… being named pushover and all, and crumsily dropping her time already…
“How about instead you tip us for not engaging in such childish school yard antics some coin, and you be on your way, and you can brag to others that you beat up a fine group in the slums today over some ales!” Valiant is sure they won’t take the deal, but his inner honor won’t have it any other way than to at least offer them a way out with their lives, and their dignity.
Pushover is incredibly flustered by the appearance of the thugs, though not at the mugging, but because of the ultimatum they offered, which she can't seem to come to a decision on. 'Oh, well, I have a lot of money, so I could give that away, but that could go to someone good so maybe it's more noble to loose my life and...' Her thoughts are interrupted by her spellbook, which bursts its own clasps and rattles it's chains in irritation, then flicks through it's own pages until it's reached the formula annotated for fire bolt. Pushover astutely stares at the book as if it's talking to her throughout this, and by the time Aebelskink has found the spell she'll need, she seems to have made up her mind on the matter. She coldly says 'Aebelskink says we'll be fighting, so looks like that's what I'm doing...' Her now composed and serious demeanour is a pretty frightening contrast to her previous self, and she has already narrowed her eyes to begin studying the incantations on the fiendish parchment. [Initiative: 19 + 1 = 20, rolled in log]
Normally Sigurd would have put an axe through the skull of the skeletal face bandit and entered a blinding rage, but pauses his headlong rush to await the outcome of Valiant's speech. He grins manically as he starts to circle around the Paladin, axes ready, to get at the bandit if "negotiations" fail. He has confidence the other bandits can be handled by the rest of the group.
Entirely expecting this outcome, but worried that rash actions on his part would lead to the party being caught even more off-guard, Gabriel thought the better of nailing the merchant with a firebolt to the back — right between his shoulder blades — and instead moved to be about as ready as he could be for what increasingly felt like an imminent dogfight.
"Hah? Gentlemen and skeletons? This lord can't even tell a woman is before him." The skeleton draws her sword, "And I'm a woman that can't stand all those fancy words. Since you ain't giving up your gold, my crew and I will take your lives then!"
Pushover sighs and silently traces her fingers on Aebelskink’s page, her fingertips eventually striking like matches upon the runes. She then flicks the back of her hand and sends the fire bolt flying off her fingers towards the skeleton.
[Action: Casts fire bolt: 19 to hit, 1 fire damage on a hit (both rolled in log]

Seeing the firebolt pew off the skeleton valiant would go for the skellady, since it made the point, otherwise the second largest of the brutes, leaving the largest for Tigard To duel!
”we shan’t have much more of your nonsense… now…
BE GONE!” Attempting to strike true with his longsword and shield.
Channelling his inner might, and drawing magic into himself, Gabriel inhaled a breath and held it. His eyes pulsed with golden light, as did the several tattoo-like lines adorning his skin, as if they were molten metal, glowing visibly even beneath his clothing. The heat they output then coalesced into mirage-like, illusory red scales that hovered over most of his arms.
Some of that magic then gathered into his fingertips, and a few arcane words later, a spark was produced, and a Fire Bolt launched at the Skeleton before him.
(Action breakdown: [Tooltip Not Found] — Innate Sorcery, in case that command doesn't work Followed by Fire Bolt aimed at the Skeleton Lady — Attack: 18 Damage: 5)

The skeleton bandit meets Ja'dul's blades with her own, parrying each of his strike. But the combined volley from Pushover and Gabriel char bits of the undead.
"Magic casters...Your fancy spells ain't good enough to hurt me! My allergies bother me more than those candles you're throwing at me!" The skeleton boasts.
Sigurd heads for the bandit coming from the right alley, handaxe swinging downward upon his foe's head. A sickening crunch sounds out in the street as the bandit's body goes limp and falls to the floor. Valiant goes for the bandit coming from the left, swinging his sword at him. The bandit tries to dodge but feels the blade graze deep into his chest. Trix tries to follow up but her rapier didn't pierce deep enough to hurt the foe.
