The faint scars on her hands split anew as she deftly draws her ritual blade against her own palm mid-step, anointing her spell as she extends her fingers toward him. Her voice is low and precise, words clipped with both quiet authority and disdain: “You speak of knives as if they write destiny… allow me to edit your line.”
The air around Vaaz grows heavy, as if the weight of ink-black ledgers and unseen quills presses down upon him, and she completes the incantation — Bane — directing the draining, oppressive mark onto him with an almost clinical detachment (DC 13).
She remains at his right side, staff still not drawn but her body poised, clearly observing him and the still-kneeling Zim with meticulous calculation — already noting the strange reaction to the statue for later study.
