The tiny invisible imp again distract Vaaz before taking cover.
The young red-haired patriar again peeks out and unleashes a hellishly red beam of eldritch crackling force towards the hopefully distracted Vaaz before dodging back into cover.
Eldritch Blast: 22 Another attack roll if helped by Mal's distraction: 12 Force: 11 Necrotic: 2
Mara shakes off the lingering haze of Vaaz’s gaze and straightens behind her shield. “Sarris is right—hit him with magic!” she calls, voice clear. Turning to Zim, she adds, “Close on him and lock those daggers down—the rest of us will break through his ward.”
(I would suggest Zim tries to grapple Vaaz and maybe eventually render him prone. Perhaps, Mara can try the same. This would help against the painful dagger attacks. I know that prone gives disadvantage on ranged, too, but I think we benefit more from him attacking with disadvantage or not at all if he tries to break free. We don't need prone if we get disadvantage already from two different grapples, but I'm unsure if the disadvantage of the grappled condition applies to every attack, even against the grapplers, if the creature is grappled by two different opponents, I would think so. What do you think?)

(Will do the reminding. Zim ideally only would have to grapple once and then again when Vaaz breaks free, which would waste an entire round on their part, too. I think it would be best to grapple as much as possible and keep Vaaz in a tight grip. A lucky string of strikes can mean 40 damage from those daggers in a single round.)
Sarris - Taking the time to look into the crate, you see varying contents in it. You see a bag of caltrops, some daggers, a tinderbox, and an empty glass vial. The glass vial looks to be the same as the healing potions.
Botted Zim - Moves in on Vaaz to grapple him.
