Never had time to mention it before now, but with this warband having almost the same symbol as the one from ten years back... It seems relevant."

Troyas is impressed with your knowledge of the war of ten years prior. "Yes, it is most concerning. It seems that our interests may coincide. I am able to offer some degree of support, in exchange for efforts to take the fight to the marauders. I know that you are capable given your heroic display against the ogre invader; it may sound like a mere formality but what I need to ascertain is, would my trust in adventurers such as yourselves be misplaced?"

"I'm with you if Medskan is." Mikhael says and turns to the paladin. "He came here to deal with the trouble, and I promised to help him." 

"I was sent to aid this town so that is what i shall do"   Medskan says in his low tone

"I won't speak for the others, but I came here knowing it needs defenders.  If we weren't trustable, chances are we wouldn't be here at our own risk."

"I'm just passing through town, but I fear this could be my last chance for another real adventure, so I am very happy to help out."

He lists the seven missing: Jalissa, an acolyte of Ioun; Sertanian, the castellan of the Hall of Valor; Thurann, an 8 year old boy; Mirtala, a cook; Zerriksa the crone; Adronsius a dwarven alchemist; and Kartenix, a guard captain and father of Thurann.

"Additionally, several artifacts of the war of ten years ago were stolen from the Hall of Valor. If you return these items, I promise an additional 200 gold pieces."

He lists the missing items: an ornate, gilded dragoncrest helm; a ceremonial platinum longsword; three sets of shields with the Red Hand insignia, each with a charred hole near the center; a set of iron gauntlets with extensive filigree, and a heraldic battle standard depicting two hands clasped in a handshake. 

"With regards to where to start, as you know a hobgoblin was captured and is in jail awaiting interrogation and trial. You have my authority to interrogate this prisoner to find out where the invaders' base of operations is."

He offers to have a guard escort you there.

Mikhael's eyes light up. "Were these artifacts perhaps trophies of war? Taken from the original warband? And does the name 'Sinruth' mean anything to you? The Hob-Gobs at the bar used it as a rallying cry..."
