The only thing you can hear are the metallic clanking sounds to the left of you. There’s only the door to serve as an exit, but many hiding spots lie in the study room.
(The study room is where we started? I assume Ianjin managed to glide silently outside, is that correct? What does he find there, is there a place to hide or will he be discovered?)

(The study room is where we started? I assume Ianjin managed to glide silently outside, is that correct? What does he find there, is there a place to hide or will he be discovered?)
The hall is empty and desolate, its silence almost eerie. In front of you stands a large door, behind which a chorus of voices engages in discussion, their words muffled yet persistent. The source of the earlier murmurs.
In the room, you can spot 5 hooded figures sitting around a rectangular table deep in discussion. Two of them in particular seem to be deep in a heated argument.
”Do you not understand that Asmodeus is a last resort? There isn’t a guarantee that he won’t turn on us.”
”And do you not understand that Asmodeus is the only person willing to free the king of his curse? We’re in more danger of the king than Asmodeus.”
In the room, the guards finally give up on finding you and start leaving. Just before one of them hear Simon breathing, a last minute call.
“Over there! It’s him!”
Those of you who are invisible have advantage. Roll initiative.
Ianjin’s sharp ears caught the argument unfolding at the table. Asmodeus? His feathers ruffled slightly. That name wasn’t one thrown around lightly. A curse on the king, a desperate cult, and a bargain with the Lord of the Nine Hells—none of that sounded good. But there was no time to dwell on it now.
Just as he began to lean in for more details, a shout rang out from behind him. "Over there! It’s him!" His heart lurched. Damn it. So much for the perfect infiltration.
Moving quickly but deliberately, Ianjin reached into his belt pouch, fishing out a copper coin. With careful precision, he slid it into the hinge of the door leading to the five hooded figures. It was a simple trick, but an effective one—the door wouldn’t fully open without force, buying them at least a few moments if things spiraled out of control.
Satisfied, he turned on his heel and glided back toward the study, silent as a shadow. He couldn’t see his companions, but he knew they were there—and if the guards had spotted one of them, the situation was about to get ugly.
Alright, let’s see how bad this is.(Initiative Ianjin: 23)
Fitz stows the bag of loot under the table and draws his shortbow, nocking an arrow. "Ay, no better time than the present to see how the others handle themselves," he thinks to himself.
(I maybe wrong but I think we are all still invisible barring Simon and if they do not fight, Ianjin will try to keep the enchantment on him as long as possible. Perhaps, Simon can draw them away in the minute that they are indifferent to him? Or mention that he saw a disturbance in one corner of the room to draw them there while everyone leaves, then we might be able to lock them in? I don't know, just a few suggestions.)

(Is everyone else playing in private messages to the DM or where is everyone?)
Ianjin moves silently towards the large door and tries to listen and even to open it just a little bit just to hear a little bit better.

I was just holding out until the guards left. Not sure if any one else was going to do anything before that.

I was also waiting for the guards to leave.
They are still in the room, just not near us.

The guards are quickly affected by Simon’s spell. Their mood shifts from aggressive to suspicious, backing away and analysing the group.
“Intruder! What’s the meaning of this?” The captain says.
Simon is going to hold up his hands calm non threateningly.
(Since it took his action to cast the spell, he'll let one of the more charming individuals speak)
