The guard captain readies his longsword and shield with sheer reaction time. He glares at the silently hiding Ianjin, now aware of the group’s trickeries. On the other hand, the guards quickly turn at Fitz’s attack.
(It is Ianjin's turn? I guess so considering his initiative of 22.)
Spotting a side room tucked just out of the main hallway’s view, Ianjin slipped inside without a sound. The space was quiet, empty—perfect. He pressed himself just behind the door, took a breath, and then let out a low, pained whimper.
“...Help... someone... please...”
His voice cracked with feigned weakness, just loud enough to carry into the corridor. He let the words trail off, repeated them again—quieter each time, like someone fading fast. No explanation. Just a desperate, wounded call.
Then silence.
Ianjin crouched beside the door, poised, waiting—hoping one of the two guards would come to investigate.

The guards quickly begin to pick up on the group’s tricks. Both guards, now jumpy from Fitz’s arrow barely missing them drop Simon’s body, attacking Fitz with their spears.
