It had not been 30 min since the armored halfling left you to your post when a horn sounded. You can hear scouts shout from within the walls that the horde approaches.
As you look out on the field you see distant shapes of skeletal soldiers and shambling corpses appear around nearby hills in several directions. Just then, a sickly black fog seeps from the ground in a ring around the fortress, obscuring everything more than a few dozen yards from the walls. This causes unrest with the less experienced soldiers. You hear shouts of confusion echo through the fortress, as no one can see the horde’s movements.
Soon, the horde’s intent is clear. Undead lurch from the mist toward the fortress.
From out of the mist you see 7 figures and 2 very large figures. Each of the 2 large zombies have a long ladder affixed to its back with hooks sunk into its rotting flesh.
After a long wait, the enemy finally emerges from the fog and Mistyis momentarily in shock. Noticing small blue sparks falling from her right hand as the rest of her palm glows a bright cyan, she snaps out of it. Realizing this as a sign, she raises her open hand and aims it at one of the large creatures (Ogre zombie on the left) hauling a ladder towards the wall. "I hope you know what you're doing." she says as a crackling blue bolt of energy (2nd level) shoots from her palm towards the monstrosity.
Atk: 21
Dmg: 13 Radiant (Next atk against creature has adv)
Skeletons advance from mist and woods. as they approach they let loose with a hail of arrows (1 shot from each of the seven), all aimed at the only target they can see Phorus. Due to the bard's Gust Barrier all arrows fly away.
The lumbering Ogre Zombies plod straight for the fortress with their ladders, but do not have enough movement this round.
Clank the bloodforged would be dispatched to the gate, he looked at the adventurers before sitting down on the edge.
