Ember looks confused.  "Vessel?  How big?  How HEAVY?   I mean... I can try?"

You are looking at a faery that is less than a meter tall and a strong breeze might knock him over...

The Wiz does not enjoy delays. He spits in his hands, rubs them together for no reason, then uses the 10ft runway... haha no way. Just kidding. Even The Wiz learns these kinds of hard lessons. Instead, he nods along to Grey's proposal with a thousand-yard stare. Meanwhile, he is thinking of goat yoga.

Grey will try to touch the surface with different material to see if any of them provide friction:

• bare hand / foot
• wet the ground then try where its wet
• crawling
• Stepping on his magic cloak to move

Anyone have other ideas?

Ember has been wracking his brain to figure out some solution.   While he can flit about, he does not have something like spider climb...

OOOO  "Check the walls!  See if they are super slick or 'just wall' !"   Ember flies up along side the wall to see what it is made of.... and if there is the potential of climbing the walls or somehow securing rope along the wall.

Alexia flies across the pit and back, checking its length. "Does anyone have rope? We could secure each end and try to walk across on it."

 Grey will try this on the walls also.

"Sorry no," The Wiz says to Alexia. "My rope is tied to the unmovable rod over here." The Wiz points to the rope dangling from the rod he is now sitting on. 

"OH! Someone give me there rope and another rod. I will slide down the next ramp, then activate the rod when I fall into the next pit. Then we will have the two pits covered." 

The Wiz absently tosses an Acid Splash at the wall, out of the splash zone, just to see if it ruins the surface of the wall and creates a friction surface.

Ember snorts, "I WISH I had more immovable rods!   And, sadly, all the junk I have accumulated in my bag of holding and not a single arm's length of rope."

 Nothing gains any purchase. Not even the tip of a blade. They all slip and slide like a fried egg on a hexclad pan. Luckily you can see where the surface is slippery and not.

 The bubble of acid splashes and sizzles on the wall but does nothing other than add an acrid smell to the swamp gas odor already in the dungeon.

Alexia tries to test her strength while flying, seeing if she'll be able to lift one of her party members while airborne.

OOC: Depends on your STR and how much they weigh.

Ember hurumps and does a bit of a shiver.  "Wiz... stay and recover.   Let me fly down to the other end of this slip n slide to see if it is worth us spending resources for nothing..."

Ember returns a little perplexed. "It looks like ... it's all slippery death pits all the way to the end.  But... something is odd about that far wall across from us.  It looks strange out the corner of my eye when I flew by."

"If we had enough rope... perhaps we could have one end held here...  put the immoveable rod in the peaked middle with the rope wrapped around it a time or two... and then try to fly up to the 'odd wall' on the other side.    Maybe the non flyers can use the rope to get across?    But, unless we can make a safe footing on the other side, I don't know what to do from there."

He slumps down on the entrance hallway floor.  "I need to rest my shoulders and wings for a minute... or two."

Alexia goes to check out the strange wall. "Ember, do you need healing, or are you just tired?"

Ember waves his hand,  "Just tired.  I don't think I have flown that much and for so long in a while.  Just need to sip a little nectar and catch my breath."

The floor on the other end is safe where it is not shiny.

The wall is as solid as air. 

Looking through you can see that there is a doorway on the right side hidden by the illusional wall.
