The Wiz looks at Grey and nods approvingly. "That's great man. Holler at your guardian friend and let's move."

The party makes it to the surface and see a large rat tail hanging from the wagon. 

The yackles are looking smug.

Alexia pets Star. "Good girl."

The Wiz looks at the rat tail, confusion scrawled across his face, but he shrugs and approaches the wagon, slapping a hand down on the back railing. "Mind if I bum a ride? I actually don't have any money. Spent it all on books." He chuckles as he pulls out three plain and heavily worn textbooks from his backpack. "These things are super expensive. Glad I was able to get these back. Also, where are we?"

"Climb aboard. It's the least we can do after you fought with us."

Ember will check on the two yackles with the wagon and if all is well, he will climb up and take the reins.  "So, on to make the delivery?"

The Wiz gratefully climbs into the wagon. His foot catches on the step and he more or less falls into it before picking himself up and dusting off his now dirtied knees. After straightening his hat, he nods gratefully to Alexia for inviting him along. 

"Shall we take a quick rest? Or shall we get going, rest on the way? Latter is probably good enough."

Ember looks about, "It might be wiser to get some distance between us and that underground rats' nest.   Isn't a nice leisurely ride a short rest?  Sort of?"

He says all that while securing the reins and moving to the wagon to check that all is still where it should be and not missing.

Alexia stretches. "Give me a good nap and I'll be ready to go."

With that 'Dirty 20' perception roll, does Ember detect anything out of place or fussed with in the wagon?      Also, with that roll, does anything about 'The Wiz' spark a desire for further investigation?

You are familiar with the phrase not wanting to meet certain types of people in dark alleys.

It seems the area ahead is all dark alley and all of them are of the shady character type. A few of them in the street stop to take a look at you.

You are about 50 feet away and getting closer. Nobody is being threatening and you are on legitimate business.

Alexia takes out her blade, but leaves it sheathed. 

Ember twists his head to speak to Wiz in the back of the wagon.  "We are headed into a rough bit here.  You might want to prepare something to protect yourself or throw down big if there is a dust up."

The Wiz has already been rocked to sleep by the bumpy wagon. He rouses from his slumber with Ember's words and responds with, "Mwah? Oh, yeah, sure." He immediately begins casting with a sleepy, slurred arcane speech and four lights form into the shape of a sitting humanoid next to him.

OOC: Casting Dancing Lights

He begins retelling a story to the light in the shape of a humanoid. As they approach the people in the alley, he continues, "... So I said to him, 'Hey, that's not my wand!'" The Wiz then cackles at the shaped light, going as far as slapping his knee at his own joke and when the light does not react in any meaningful way, he shrugs at some people in the alley and says "Ghosts man. Always so glum. No sense of humor."

Grey rests his hammer across his lap and stairs at the light humanoid as if waiting for a response.
