Sulac/Lucas fought down the urge to roll his eyes, but the slight twitch in the corner of them gave away the struggle to not do so all the same. If but to further distract himself, to the Svirfneblin he nodded to in passing despite harboring doubts in the gesture being acknowledge, let alone returned in passing. Lucas hardly slows upon reaching the intersection past the mage all the same, but rather moved with a purpose towards the eastern doors, as their opposite -- in his mind at least -- had the higher odds of just looping back to the entry chambers.
Just as he touches the door, he glances back over his shoulder and whispers to the party, "Remember. Only the one thing and no more", before trying to pen the door...

Passoveloce thinks back at the demon "I will not agree to a deal until I know what the task is. If I consider the task to be achievable, then we can deal."
Lucas/Saluc pushes open the door. Behind it he can see a chamber that is 35 feet by 35 feet. In the middle of the chamber are four giant lizards. The pungent smell of raw meat hangs in the air. Almost directly across from the door that Lucas/Saluc is peering through he can see another set of double iron doors.
In Passoveloce’s mind the demon says “no deal then but don’t ever say I didn’t try to help!”
Checking the attitude of the giant lizards, Corwyn assesses their likely hostility if the party attempts to bypass them to the next door across the way.

If the four giant lizards hadn't appeared unbound at first glance, Lucas/Saluc could foresee little reason not to give them a wide berth and carry on to the next double doors. Only an idle thought left him glaring at the lizards for a moment or so, before shaking his head and shrugging off the feeling. "Let's give'm a wild berth. But 'fore we do, any of ya'll wouldn't happen to have some meaty treats on hand now would'ja? Or maybe something of the insectile variety?"

Paul looks around the door at the Giant lizards with an experienced eye and rumbles to Corwyn in his deep voice “you can walk straight past those critters laddie they’re busy digesting whatever it is they ate last and wont bother ye!”
Passoveloce thinks back to the demon: "Well if you can't tell me what you want done, then I have no idea if I can do it, so unless you can let me know this, I cannot be of assistance to you. If that is what you want, so be it. If you can tell me what you want done, then perhaps we can deal. Until then, I had better get on with my other tasks."
Hearing Paul's words, Passoveloce slips past and ducks through the door, and staying close to the wall on the right side of the door, inspects the room (ceiling, walls, floor and contents) and the lizards. perception18

"If you say so..." Lucas quietly responded, still sounding uncertain but willing to hear Paul out. So, without further hesitation, he followed after Passoveloce to the other side of the room, though not with quite the same level of cautiousness. At least one lizard is kept within his peripheral vision at all times while he otherwise took the most straightforward path. Once on the other side, he pauses, considering trying and listen at the door, but then scoffs realizing the futility in such an effort. At least for someone with his degree of sensitivity.
Once everyone has made it across however, he step aside and gestures to the door. "After you, big guys. As this one seems a touch heftier than what even I can manage."

“Fair enough,” says Corwyn as he crosses the room, giving the lizards their space. He waits for the others to fill in behind him if they desire, then opens the door.

Corwyn opens one of the five foot wide iron doors and looks into the room. The ceiling of the room is at least 50 feet high and festooned with stalactites while the floor is covered with stalagmites and their are several limestone columns joining the floor to the ceiling, The room stretches off into the darkness as far as Corwyn can see. The room is also festooned with webs. Sitting high above the floor is a huge creature which looks like some sort of a cross between a lizard - possibly draconian - and a spider. Next to it is a medium sized spider.
