"M'lady, Dr A., before we depart we should attune to these wonderful gifts in order to make full use of them. I suggest we delay our departure for an hour to enable this to happen." says Passoveloce. He then sits down with the cloak to get a feel for it.

Tirohia te Moana - Level 2 Cleric - What shall we do with the Drunken Sailor?
Ebonitus de Viribus - Level 4 Cleric - The Storm King's Thunder - The Gods Respond.
The party step through the portal and find themselves entering a silver clouded void. Lucent whisps of white and gray fog swirl in the distance among pickpricks of starlight. Those of you - Dr A and Lucas certainly and Corwyn possibly - who have been here before recognise they are on the Astral Plane. For a split second, the party members have no sense of direction before they start plummeting. The silver clouds shift and the party realises they are failing towards a colossal misshapen stony mass. Lucas feels that the piece of the rod he is holding is aiming directly at the stony mass.
(OOC - those of the party {see above} that have previously visited the Astral Plane know that you can move through the Astral Plan by thought alone. Furthermore you can move at a speed of 5 x your intelligence score!)
"WHAT the ..." calls out Passoveloce as he waves his arms about trying to find a way to orient himself. As he sees the rock he is falling toward, he brings his feet around to be the part that hits the rock first. He thinks to himself "Just land softly, bend the knees and absorb the impact." Then he tries to use the cloak to catch any air to slow himself down a bit. "Please work, please slow me down." he thinks
While he had read of this place, he had never been, so Corwyn takes a moment to orient himself as well. Soon enough, he learns that he can will himself to follow the others—and at a fair speed!

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Between past experience and the nature of his true self, it took little for Lucas to orient himself and even appear to drift lazily down facing up to the party. "Figures one of'em be here of all places. Ya'll need to land and quick at that 'fore 'they' notice. Dr. A? Mind helping the flounder there stick the landing?" The sorcerer asks before nonchalantly adjusting his course for a steeper dive down for the stoney collossus. But as he did so, he'd take a moment to search the mass both for a decent spot to land in relative safety, and keep an eye out for trouble.
Corwyn:
”Much obliged,” says Corwyn to Lucas, both in thanks for the identification and the Aid.
Turning to Austrian, he asks, “Do we have any intelligence on what we might face on the other side of this portal, my lady?”
