This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Casmenos looks confused for a second, then clarifies, "I'm not sure what I said, but there are three zombies in there. You have two axes, what.... Never mind. Lets go!" And Casmenos charges into the room with the sleeping kobold.
I'll dash to reach the kobold, trying to avoid attacks of opportunity from the zombies.
If I can't avoid attack of opportunities, can't reach the kobold but I can reach a zombie, then I'll attack a zombie.
If I can't reach a kobold or a zombie, then I'll ready an action in case a zombie gets in range for an attack.
Resolving Kelvin's action before Casmenos goes, as 1) It may impact what you all choose to do, and 2) it puts him several rounds away from the room if we go to initiative. Casmenos, I will leave it up to you if you decide that you have already gone, or if you would have waited with a member having dropped so far back.
Back in the room with the door and debris on the wall, Kelvin sees that the door is richly appointed, with inlays and carvings that indicate the trappings of wealth.
Surprisingly, the door is not locked, and opens easily.
A mummified figure in magnificent apparel sits on a throne inlaid with ivory and semiprecious stones. It holds a golden dagger in its right hand and a balance in its left. A crown of gold and tarnished silver seems to float above its head. The whole scene is draped in cobwebs.
From behind you, Cassyt offers "From the age and the...odd accouterments, this...appears to be the tomb of Sedrair II."

So... err... was he a good guy? Benevolent, kind to children, that sort of thing? Marrow asks from next to Cassyt, leaning sideways to get a good look past Casmenos' legs, or a brutal and evil tyrant who might be supportive of such undead shenanigans as we have seen.
Cassyt sighs, clearly disappointed at what she sees as a problem in Phlan's schools. "Centuries ago, shewas the matriarch of one of the noblest families in Phlan. As for being 'a good guy?' Histories remember her primarily for two things -- being incredibly eccentric, and being incredibly paranoid."
"Well, whatever is infesting or perverting these catacombs is not interested in wealth. Otherwise those accouterments would have been the first to be pilfered. Let us move on?"
As Cassyt is instructing Casmenos and Marrow, Tumal steps forward, the light from his crystal further illuminating the mummy. "So, this is Sedrair," he says in a dreamy tone of voice. He begins to lightly chant what sounds like a poem or a song, but without the melody. Sedrair's house grew in power and stature, but as it did, she became paranoid, as Cassyt said. So paranoid, the lines say, that she was likened unto a dragon protecting its treasure. As he finishes the rhyme, Tumal turns and smiles at the others. "My father used to sing that song to me. I always thought it was just a tale to teach children to be wary of how riches can change a person." He looks back at the figure again. "Rest now, Sedrair. Your treasure is safe."
Marrow watches the door shut, humming the last few bars of Tumal's song, trying to commit the melody to memory. Okay, so, what now? You said there was something up ahead - something undead? he asks Casmenos.
Marrow hesitates, and then chooses to remain with Cassyt. Will you join in this battle? It seems our first opportunity to get some answers to this whole mess.

No, battle can wait until we resolve this other door.
Kelvin attempts to open the door.

"The tomb of whom?" Casmenos asks, puzzled?

"Paranoid about treasure, eh? Sounds like EXACTLY the room to pillage," Kelvin says sarcastically, moving to close the door.

Nevermind, misread the above post.

"Indeed, three zombies hovering around a sleeping kobold. It would be very useful to capture that kobold alive to question it."
Tumal looks determined to take down some zombies!
"Then let us prepare to rush them. And remember, don't kill the kobold, just incapacitate him!" and Casmenos walks into position.
Marrow hesitates, and then chooses to remain with Cassyt. Will you join in this battle? It seems our first opportunity to get some answers to this whole mess.
(Sorry for not posting for a bit. Been ill and had no access to the boards over the weekend.)
Destin, once the group is gathered, will take his actions as in the spoiler (in case I miss the chance later).
Running charge at the zombie, attacking with both handaxes. If he can't reach, then take a dash instead of attacking.
Handaxe vs. Zombie: 23 vs. AC. Hit: 9 slashing damage.
Handaxe vs. Zombie: 21 vs. AC. Hit: 2 slashing damage.
"If we are prepared, then let us begin!"
