Dealuri readies her longbow and paces back and forth in an arc behind the wizards. At each end of her arc, she clicks her heels together then turns around to resume “watching their backs.” The routine has the appearance of a ritual and if asked, she will report that this is how she used to spend her time on guard duty. If asked for more details, she will report that she would do this mind-numbing ritual for 8 hours straight, which might have contributed to the vacant look on her face and empty thoughts in her head.
Skritchwill join the magic circle and add his Arcana skills (+4). he's hoping his magic familiar, Sunhill, can give him advantage, by helping him focus.
WHile Sunhill lies in front of Skritch, staring into his eyes with total adoration, Skritch aids in the mystic endeavour by using his telepathic powers to share the rhythms of eldritch feeling between each of the ritual participants, letting them feel , via him as a kind of mental switchboard (a 'Skritchboard', if you will!), the intensity of each others' arcane thoughts, when power is needed, when its apt to ease off, when everyone needs to surge together. Like, er, that.
Arcane roll (with advantage) = 20
Arcane roll(without, if Sunhill's focus is not advantage-giving) = 10
Vakas gets in position to guard the door to allow the wizards to complete the ritual. He pulls out his bow and nocks an arrow, keeping an eye on their perimeter as they begin.. He leans over to Dealuri, saying "Keep your eyes peeled. It sounds like they are expecting something to emerge and disrupt their methods. As ... whatever ... appproaches, we'll drop and switch to close combat. I can try to make one of them float in the air. I wish there was a good place to ambush anyone who approaches.. but there's really now where to hide out here in the open. Let me know if you need me." Vakas makes himself ready, testing his bowstring.
