Joy's eyes widen in horror as the quippers start eating Randa alive. She charges forward instinctively, her blade cutting through the water at the remaining predatory fish with accuracy surprising even to her and giving off a flash of divine energy as it (hopefully) makes contact.

Action: Longsword to hit 15, damage 12 + sap

Bonus Action: Divine Smite, damage 4 radiant 

DM: I meant to write it in the post, but I believe it slipped my mind: Riven gets an Opportunity Attack as the fish swim out of his range to attack Randa. You may take it when you see this.

 The quippers are in Randa's space, sandwiched between Berk and Joy in a tight tunnel. I don't believe there is room to drop it on the quippers. You can place it in the chamber or you can try something else. 

Joy's blade cuts through the swarm, just as Riven's did. What makes this different however, is the burning light emanating from the blade, as Joy's unshakable desire to protect her friends manifests as searing, radiant power. An acoustic shock wave and visible light make up a cavitation burst, blowing the fish off of Randa's body as the remaining quippers, decimated as they are, attempt to reform into their school.

Berk quickly thinks about the best spell to use in this watery situation. He calls forth a divine flame onto the fish!

13 Dex save or 3 radiant. Half on save!

DM: Round 2

The swarm of quippers swirl around Randa's rousing body, then aggressively attack Joy. 

DM: 23 to hit, 7 piercing damage. 

Berk, you have a chance at an Opportunity Attack if you want it.

Randa, you are on your feet. 

Everyone go. 

[Opportunity Attack]

Berk swings his dagger into the fish swarm as they move away, hoping to skew a few!

dagger: 20 dmg: 4 [not a crit]

Randa steadied herself, as she looked down at the neat little scoops taken out of her flesh, " One weightloss routine I don't recommend....."

She sighted on them as they moved at Joy and fired.

Attack: 15 Damage: 6

Ylis moves towards the swarm and lashes out with her tentacles! "Hahaha! Blurba bloop bloop!" Her arms allow her to reach around her friends to try to slap some fishies.

Whap Attack: 13 Damage: 9

Vazo'yn calls on the whispers that sit deep in his mind. He stirs them and pulls the thread that binds them together. Once he has them in his mind's grasp, he hurls them outward toward the myriad of tiny little minds that form the swirl.

Action: Dissonant Whispers. DC 13 Wisdom save. 12 psychic damage on a fail and it had to use its reaction to move (possibly triggering AOOs from those close). 6 psychic damage on a success.

Joy is relieved to see the fish turn their attention away from Randa, though it isn't exactly comforting that they rush at her instead. She gives a cry of surprise and swings wildly as the swarm chomps down on her armor. Thankfully they are unable to pierce it for the moment.

Action: longsword to hit 6

The Fellowship scramble in response to the swarm of fish encompassing Joy in their vicious bites. However, their razor-like teeth are rebuffed by Joy's chain mail again and again. She is able to feel the bite force of these creatures through the mesh of chain though and even without the teeth finding purchase, it is like powerful pinches all over her. Randa manages to skewer 6 quippers on a single arrow without so much as grazing Joy, a nigh impossible shot on land and if the party hadn't been present to see it with their own eyes, they might struggle to believe the story of it done underwater.

Everyone else cannot seem to effectively harm the fish, much less catch them (no Disadvantage on the other Attacks). However, Vazo'yn gathers the threads of the twenty or so remaining tiny minds and yanks hard on them. Immediately, the quippers stop. They stop biting, stop swimming, stop breathing. The light is immediately and permanently banished from their eyes, as they all fall belly up and are still in the water. 

There is a quietude in the wake this fight, as the glow of the magical light sources cast long shadows in the cramped tunnel that most of the Fellowship is in. Riven stands in the chamber, a shadow of himself standing next to him on the very edges of the light, very much appearing as a ghost. Randa still bleeds, but not at a level that would cause her weakness. 

DM: Combat has ended. 

Berk continues his  divine fury on the fish!

13 Dex save or 1 radiant. Half on save!

The divine flames seek out target creatures, but as the fish floating in the water are all now corpses and therefore objects, the cantrip fails.

Berk looks through the crimson water at his comrades but is unsure who is injured and how much.

"Who is in need of healing, I can help there!"

Vazo'yn nods along with Berk as the adrenaline of the conflict slowly dissipates and his heart rate lowers.
