Joy smiles brightly at Berk as the burning pain finally leaves her. "Thanks! That's amazing! Are you a paladin too? Ah, from what you can remember, I mean." The way he heals reminds her of Lay on Hands, but it seems a little different somehow.
Berk smiles at Joy's comments. "Paladin? No, I am no warrior, but my power is based in Divinity." he trails off for a bit, "well, I'm not entirely clear where they come from, but it feels like it is from one ... being? Perhaps is the best way to describe it. Discovering the identity of my power is a driving goal for me. Perhaps with the help of the Fellowship, I'll find out."
"Thank you, Berk," Vazo'yn says gratefully at the healing of his companions.
The Drow turns his attention to Ylis. He intones a brief incantation that sounds as if it's whispered by a dozen voices in unison. Despite the unsettling sound, a deep purple glow traces along Ylis's wounds as they're knitted back together.
Ylis starts in surprise as her remaining wounds close and she feel whole again.
"Bloopy blooper blop!"
She was developing a sense of anxiety with all of the delays. While the competition was supposed to be friendly and this thing was a race, she still ached from the falling rocks. Somebody was going to have to answer for that.
The bunny eared octopus jetted on a stream of water pressure ahead of the group.
With the Fellowship all, more or less, back on their feet, Vazo'yn ushers them toward the small cavern's exit across the other side.
"We should keep moving."
He swims through the cloud of dead and dying quippers. Their blood and remains make the water murky and unpleasant, but he cannot allow it to deter them; they can only go forward. The drow swirls the water ahead of him with an arm to disperse the last of the fish and clear the way as best he can before pressing on.
Upon reaching the exit he takes a moment to steel himself, unsure what may lie in wait in the darkness ahead. Then he swims through.
The Fellowship enter the tunnel. They are struck by three things upon entering: The tunnel climbs 20ft back up, the waters are warmer and the pressure less severe, and there is a soft glow in the chamber up ahead. A glow that is definitely moving, as the rough walls of the tunnel have shadows that wax and wane as the source of the glow moves away from the tunnel and deeper into the chamber ahead.
Silvery light dances along the walls of this underwater cave. As the Fellowship approach the chamber, a gentle current pulls on the Fellowship, ushering them into the cave and toward a crevice in the south wall that emits shimmering golden light. Prowling around the cave’s pillars is a massive shark. A gold amulet hangs from a thick rope tied around the shark’s body, and a silver spear protrudes from its side.
The two sources of light, silver from the shark and gold from the crevice in the south wall, compete with each other as the shark circles the far end of the cave that is, without the two sources of light, complete Darkness. The party can see that the shark carries the item they seek, but the silvery spear embedded in its hide has made it agitated and it seems to be actively seeking prey. It does not seem to have noticed you just yet, but it is clear that the organizers of this race mean for you to take the Emerald Eye from the shark somehow.
Joy’s eyes widen at the sight of the circling shark, the golden light catching in her hair as she hovers in the water beside the others. Her lips part, and then she presses them together, gaze darting quickly between the spear in its side, the amulet on the rope, and the glowing crevice beyond. Something doesn’t sit right. She narrows her eyes, leaning closer to the group with a whisper, her voice bubbling in the water.
“That spear...The other team did that. It looks like they had trouble trying to fight this guy. I bet they’re just waiting and watching us like before...” She shakes her head, a spark of stubborn determination flickering in her eyes. “Let’s grab the necklace without killing him. I can cast expeditious retreat, dart in and out faster than it expects. Then if they jump out they'll still have to deal with the shark and us."
Ylis notices her friends reluctance to engage and tucks her ears in then moves forward on a jet of water. When she gets near the shark she tries to make a grab for the amulet. Sure it's a giant shark but she's a giant octobus!! What could possibly go wrong?!
Naked 20 5 Not sure what kind of skill or attack it would be.

DM: Ylis, please give me a second third roll and declare if you want your 16 to be for a Stealth Check or the Sleight of Tentacle Check. The next roll will be whatever you didn't choose.
Third roll OOC: 16 for Stealth Check. Following roll for Sleight of Hand check
Ylis tries to sneaky sneak steal the amulet. She flows over the rocks skin shifting colors slow and quiet quiet. Then she reaches out a single tentacle to grab hold of the prize.

Jacaranda panicked as Ylis swam out to meet the shark, she kicked ahead into the open cavern then looked to her right at the narrow passage between the rock and the cavern wall......now how to distract.....shark......fish.....bull sharks occasionally swam upriver near her home and Junwe had said that they hunt in the brackish water by detecting impulses from fish.....she called on her lessons and began playing pulses of harmless but noticeable static electricity across her limbs in a rhythmic pattern hoping to distract the huge fish.
