Merek wraps his bacon and eggs into a sandwich when it arrives and begins wolfing it down like he's at an eating competition. Bystanders have likely seen breaths that took longer. Thinking as he chews, his entire life he has been a traveler and a wanderer. Now a stranger gifts him land and a house, a base of operations for a man who has never known a true home. The will of the Gods indeed.
He wipes his hands and mouth on a napkin and slams his coffee down in one big gulp before joining the others.
Merek signs his name. "Merek Attiga" he scrawls as neatly as he can. "Thank you." he says simply to the Elder. "This means more to me than I can tell you, and it seems we're destined to find our way to Ank'Harel. Blessings of the Moonweaver be upon you for all of your days." he says with perfect sincerity.

Merek Attiga - Level 4 Human Wizard - Call of the Netherdeep
Ayo’s crew also fill in their names. Though Irvan was reluctant to do so at first due to either the alcohol, people seeing his name, or some other, unsaid reason. After some urging from Ayo not to disrespect Elder Ushru and waste the extremely rare opportunity, he writes his name near the bottom of the page, right under Ylis’.
The party finishes their meal and follows Ushru out of the inn, where he bids them farewell. The two parties, the Fellowship and the yet unnamed party first travel to the stables. Several are present as there are plenty need for them in this often-visited city.
DM: I will need a History Check from anyone who hopes to know where Bazzoxan is. Most of you are foreigners, after all.
Economic options exist, as well as more luxurious options, and nearby are wagons for travelers who lack the coin to horse each person they travel with. There is even a moorbounder pen, where a group of goblins dare to train some of the younger creatures.
Available options (before discounts):
Mule – 8 gp Mastiff – 25 gp Pony – 30 gp Draft Horse – 50 gp Riding Horse – 75 gp Moorbounder – 400 gp
Mount Tack (before discounts):
Feed per day – 5 cp Riding Saddle – 10 gp (Anyone proficient in Animal Handling can skip) Military Saddle – 20 gp (Advantage to remain mounted)
Land Vehicles (before discounts):
Cart – 15 gp (max 1 mount) Wagon – 35 gp (1-2 mounts) Carriage – 100 gp (2-4 mounts)
You also find a number of other shops for your traveling needs rather easily.
DM: You can make purchases for any non-magical gear that you wish that you can afford. If you wish to try to get additional discounts because you are so charming, we can RP it by letting me know. Also, anyone wishing to buy any kind of magical gear (very limited options available in Jigow, mostly druidic in nature), may roll a Perception Check and we will RP that too.
Joy happily purchases a trident and book on religion for 30 gold pieces, offering her remaining 21 up if the others want to pool their money on a wagon or carriage.
DM: What is the specific topic of your Book? I read over the rules again and it actually doesn't just give you a flat bonus to all Religion Checks. Instead, you choose a topic and then that topic can be used to give bonuses to multiple Checks (Religion, History, Nature, Arcana) whenever it may apply to that moment.
DM: Drawn vehicles increase a mount's carrying capacity; multiplying it by 5. A mule can carry 420 lbs on its own. With a wagon, it can pull 2100 lbs (minus the weight of the wagon, 400 lbs). Hopefully this helps you make your purchasing decisions regarding mounts.
Vazo'yn approaches the stables with a muted, but polite smile to search for the stable master. While he waits, he ponders on the destination: the faraway town of Bazzoxan where the next step of their fate journey awaited. Their last walk to destiny brought them face to face with a Betrayer God; what lay in wait for them this time?
Vazo’yn, being a native of the region, is reasonably familiar with the area. He knows that it would take approximately 12 days at a normal pace to reach Bazzoxan by the fastest path, traveling south along the Emerald Loop to a rest stop inside a small forest called Wandering Oak’s Grove – a clearing within the forest that is a common place for travelers to gather and recover from a hard and dangerous journey across the Wastes. Then east along the Hallowed Path, skirting the northern edge of the Barbed Fields to Bazzoxan. A more careful approach will take up to 15 days, but the destination can be reached in 9 days if they push their horses.
DM: Mechanically, Fast Travel imposes Disadvantage on Perception, Stealth, and Survival Checks. Normal Travel imposes Disadvantage only on Stealth, and Slow Travel confers Advantage on Perception and Survival Checks.
Ylis throws down 28 gp to help fund the travel bits.
She listens intently to the information Vazo shares. Sounds like a bunch of scary places to travel through or at least places with names to make one uneasy. But that's OK! because every day is a new day! Nothing will pop her bubble of positivity today!
When there is time, she looks for a shop that sells ribbon. She only needs about a yard of dark green to fancy up some lucky animal. Hopefully it won't cost more than her last gold.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
Ylis' excitement about purchasing a mount is infectious and Joy can't resist buying a spool of fancy gold ribbon as well. She stays by Vazo'yn's side, hoping to help with persuading the stable owner to give them a discount.
The Fellowship and Ayo’s crew walk with purpose first to the stables. Three different stables sit next to each other, all showing attractive options for their goods. A female goblin specializes in short-folk mounts, with boars, goat, hyena, mastiff, mules, and ponies. She leans against the bottom rail of her pen, a long piece of straw in her mouth as she watches her work-hands, goblins all, break in their mounts in training. The already trained mounts graze and play in the field attached to their stable. She casts a sidelong glance at the two parties as they walk along the stables, but pays no additional mind to them. If anyone wants to buy from her, they will find their way back.
The middle stable has a bugbear in long, shinning red hair working with his staff to help break in their stable of horses and mules. He offers advice to the other goblin-folk and orcs who work under him on how to properly guide the beasts to their roles and he has a kindly voice that is slow like molasses. His attention is so focused on his work that he fails to notice the approaching parties. Irvan gazes at the bugbear with long, cared for hair with a wistful look.
The third stable is lead by another goblin. This would be for the one stable that has only one export: moorbounders. This goblin is missing a right arm and a right leg, and his entire right side is adorned in scars that are raked across his body. He wears an eye patch on the very same side and has a hard look about him. His left includes a powerful arm and leg, likely due to compensating for the missing limbs. He watches the two groups of people approach with a squinting left eye and a scowl as if he is preparing to have his time wasted.
"Guardians of the Grotto... Sentinels of the Sea..." Ayo mumbles to herself as the crew travels. "Jigow's Justice or Justice of Jigow..." She looks to the Fellowship and smiles. "You guys have such a cool name. 'Fellowship of the Wind'. It sounds poetic, a name with purpose and some deeper meaning. We need a name like that. Something that sticks in people's head."
