Daewen immediately drops into a low, stable crouch, her motions silent as she assesses the sudden threat.  She ignores her rapier, instead drawing her hand crossbow, recognizing that closing the distance through the churning ooze is too dangerous.  She fixes her gaze on the enemy, her body coiled and ready to strike from range as soon as the initiative order permits.

Mun swaps her initiative with Daewin (24 <—> 9). 

(OOC: In parallel with Yistral's move) The massive, repulsive form of the Adult Oblex draws Daewen's focus immediately.  With silent efficiency, she brings her hand crossbow to bear, sighting down the tiny limbs.  She finds a weak point in the green, globular mass and lets the tension of the string fly, firing a quarrel aimed straight at the mass of stolen faces.

Yistral sends a bolt of fire towards the main oblex, which pierces straight through it and leaves the oozes inside to writhe and scream in pain as they're boiled from the heat. Daewen then shortly follows up with a pair of crossbow bolts that sink deep into the goo of the monster. 

Two of the smaller oozes then swim through the sludge towards the party, the first of the slimes attempting to wrap itself tightly Eggo's shin and drain her memories.

Xarkris trudges thru the thick slime and rushes to the front to assist Eggo Lass. While moving, he is doing 2 things….eyeing each of the threats and activating the fire in his throat. 
Xarkris will move diagonally to his left 5’ and move south 10’. (I think he had enough movement to accomplish this task). This should put him shoulder-to-shoulder with Eggo Lass, to her left. 
The mighty Dragonborn opens his maw and sends a cone of flame at #2 and will also attempt to catch #1 in the blast. 
Each of the spawns take 7 points of fire damage unless they make a DEX SAVE DC 12 (3 points of fire damage if successful).

Xarkris moves up next to Eggo Lass and attempts to engulf the oblexes in flames.

The adult oblex then rushes through the sludge to face Xarkris, and attempts to wrap a gooey tendril around both him and Eggo, before trying to steal Xarkris' memories to take as its own.

- Psuedopod against Xarkris: 21 to hit, 15 bludgeoning damage plus 9 psychic damage on a hit.
- Psuedopod against Eggo: 9 to hit, 12 bludgeoning damage plus 3 psychic damage on a hit.
- Eat Memories: Xarkris  must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or take 18 (4d8) psychic damage and become memory drained until it finishes a short or long rest or until it benefits from the greater restoration or heal spell. While memory drained, Xarkris must roll a d4 and subtract the number rolled from his ability checks and attack rolls.

The closest oblex is lucky enough to dip down into the cover of the sludge to avoid most of the heat, but the second spawn isn't. (Rolling for if Xarkris fails the save against Eat Memories since I forgot to change the default roll from the monster description: 10)

This new place is flat, chaotic, unpleasant. Still, it is broad and open, and now the monsters have emerged, they are easy to pick out from the surrounding sludge. 

Mun backs away 25 feet, and five feet over, as the opening blows are exchanged. She turns back as Xarkris’s flame gutters and sees where the Soup and its spawns have rushed. 

“Know the chill and sorrow that your existence has caused, and be contrite,” she mutters as she casts Ice Knife, and spends one Lucky point. 

Her tattoos flash a chilly blue and she focuses her spell on Oblex Spawn 2, so that the Adult Oblex and Spawn 1 are in the area of detonation. 

Attack Roll against Spawn 2 (25). Damage Roll on hit: 4 piercing. 

Adult Oblex, and Spawn 1 and 2 must all make a Dex save (DC 16) or take 13 cold damage. 

((OOC: Shiverquill, I want to clarify something. I saw that the Adult Oblex hit Xarkris on the first pseudopod attack with a 21. Was the Adult Oblex attacking with DISADVANTAGE at the time, and if so, was the 21 TO HIT the lesser of the 2 rolls?)

If the first pseudopod attack does indeed hit, Xarkris will take the 24 points of damage. He did make his WISDOM Saving throw with a 21. 

[Yes, that was with disadvantage, very sorry for the unfortunate turn out! The higher roll was an 18 and the lower was 14, so with a +7 to hit it turned out so high!]

Xarkris resists the oozes' attempt to pilfer his memories, but does get struck quiet heavily by the blow from its pseudopod. Mun then summons a frosted dagger that pierces straight into the second oblex spawn, which then shatters into shards that burst out towards its allies.

Oblex Spawn 3 then spends its action to dash, moving 40 feet and ending up behind Xarkris to flank him, although its intended target seems to be Daewen.

All of the oozes are struck with the shards of ice, which easily slays the second oblex spawn, causing it to sink limply back into the sludge, and seems to put Oblex Spawn 1 on its last legs (if it had any), as it appears it's struggling to hold itself up and keep shape.

Bonus Action: Hunter's Mark A cold, ethereal glow—not silver, but a stark white light from the Shadowfell—briefly outlines the form of the Oblex Spawn 3.  Daewen has marked it for termination.

[Absolutely, sorry for the wait!]

Yistral sends another fire bolt at the towering wall of slime ahead of Xarkris, which pierces straight through, boiling the ooze from the inside. It reels back with a psionic scream, its hive formation splitting apart as dead lumps of goo drop from it down into the sludge below. However it doesn't seem quite dealt with yet, as it writhes and shudders itself back into a singular blob once more in an attempt to keep its structure, although it's half as tall as it was initially, and is still slowly bubbling with the heat of the spell that struck it.

Daewen then callously shreds the slime beside her to pieces without a second thought, the smooth, magically aided whip of her rapier splitting the measly creature into chunks of inanimate jelly left to tumble back into the soup of stars and dissolve. The lesser oblexes are now all slain, and now just the singular unified mass of slimes remains, although it seems on the brink of death.
